Making / using custom shapes is one of those things I’ll do even if I don’t need to because it’s makes the rig more fun
I’ve been using Bonera for this. Not only does it have all the other rigging features, like one click generating IK setups, and one click duplicate and constraint, but all the custom bone shapes actually use the icon gallery so you can see what you’re using.
It’s a superior tool by far.

I don't know if you tried it before but the addon animaide is also one of those free hidden gem addons for blender that can improve the animation refining and iteration process. I highly recommend it for all intermediate to veteran animators.

I used this widget and honestly its really handy. I tested in my personal project 3D character. But only 1 issue, i dont know why i got python script error when i try to symmetrize shape only for that 1 shape. Other bone shape i can symmetrize perfectly, just only 1 cant.
So the solution i made is click that bone, choose shape from library as usual, edit it and done... Big thanks to person who bring this widget and thanks to Pierrick for demonstrate this widget ..❤❤❤
Can you make a video about how you can swap/change female character's shoes from HIGH HEELS, SNEAKERS, BOOTS, FLAT FOOTED like in open world games like GTA, Saints Row etc.

Hi there! Any advices on what to avoid in a character model? I'm trying to make my main character for my 3d isometric game, and have a bunch of ideas for kimonos, robes, stuff like that, but I know I will struggle a lot to animate those, especially since I am a beginner 😢 any tips on how to come around this, or what else to avoid? Hey Peirrick! I've always wondered, how do you put bones for the movement of a human model and bones specifically for the smears such as stretching the arm and stuff. I saw those custom bones for your spiderman OC model and tried it on my own but not sure how to go about it..any tips and know hows?

Great tutorial, but WGTS in 3.6.5 the buttons are all grayed out and unclickable.
