And, this is not the first time Maher has done the old jokes. His writers really don't come up with anything as creative as Fallon's "Fast & Furious 2024" where the driver turns out to be Biden. That’s good humor because Biden is known to like to drive from his skits with Seinfeld to driving a Ford pick-up on a test track.

As a former middle school teacher, I had a girl in my classroom that immigrated from Guatemala that school year. Her and her family spoke a dialect of Spanish that the Spanish speaking ELL teacher had a very difficult time communicating with them. This was five years ago in southwest Minnesota. I imagine it happens very often throughout the country. Also, it's not just people from Latin America coming across the borders, there are many people immigrating from Africa and Asia as well.
