Excellent reaction !!! Few correction notes: Tuomas (Keyboards) AND the Mastermind behind Nightwish: Tuomas the keyboardist writes about 95% of Nightwish songs, music and lyrics. He also composes the music for the backing track they use. It is recorded in London with musicians from The London Philharmonics. Pip Williams helps with the orchestration. There are two London based choirs too on the backing track, the other one is a children's choir. And of course with a synth you can do a lot. Emppu (Guitar): Emppu Vuorinen "the Electric Hobbit" and trickster (Finnish guitarist, most famous for being a founding member of Nightwish and occasional songwriter). Vuorinen is primarily a rhythm player, often supporting the keyboard or orchestral parts of Nightwish songs. However, he plays lead melodies and solos as well. Vuorinen's solo techniques usually include alternate picking, tapping, sliding, legato, and minor to extreme whammy bar use; he also employs sweep picking, although very rarely. Vuorinen is also a creative force in Nightwish, having co-written songs with Tuomas Holopainen from Oceanborn until Dark Passion Play. The song Whoever Brings The Night on Dark Passion Play is written by Vuorinen alone. Marko (Bass): Marko Hietala "The Viking" is a Finnish heavy metal vocalist, bassist and songwriter (not part of the band anymore). Internationally, best known as the former bassist, male vocalist and secondary composer to Tuomas Holopainen, of the symphonic metal band Nightwish. He was also the vocalist and bassist as well as composer and lyricist for the heavy metal band Tarot. He was also a member of the supergroup Northern Kings, and portrayed one of the main characters in Ayreon's 2013 album The Theory of Everything. Jukka (Drums): Jukka "The Pirate" Nevalainen is the former drummer in the Finnish symphonic metal band Nightwish (left for health reasons, but is still a member behind the scenes). He Is famous among Nightwish fans for wearing a bandana on his head, even during shows, his energetic drumming style, and for his spinning of his drumsticks. Joined Nightwish at the age of 17. NOW,...The song: The only thing, I can say about this song is...This song is Like a Coffee with Red Bull .... On Steroids 🤘❤🔥🤘. The “scream” at the end is called a glissando, going from low to high and back, for classically trained singers this is an exercise to warm up the vocal cords, so Floor will do this probably every day before breakfast 😁. NWSU/FloorFan 🤘😎🤘
Hi welcome back, Marko and Floors voices match made in heaven. It is much heavier than the previous two you have listened to, but you've only scratched the surface they have many different styles, you haven't met Troy the sixth member of the band he is a, multi instrumentalist his favourite being the Uilleann pipes a kind of Irish bagpipe he is from the uk😊 it's nice to have a countryman in the band. Good reaction see you for the next one🇬🇧
I am very happy that you want to continue to pay attention to Nightwish - even if I didn't expect it otherwise. If you get seriously involved with the music and like profound lyrics, then you will also get stuck with Nightwish. You will definitely be surprised by the versatility of the band very often and you will never be disappointed.
I love Nightwish every song is different and a musical experience, the lyrics are fantastic, the blending from Floor and Marco is fantastic, all the bandmembers are top musicians, love the versatility from Floor's voice, so thank you for this song, i enjoy it.
Good job, FYI : Tuomas (Keyboards) is the founder , Composer and Writer of 95% of all the songs He's the poet and mastermind . Nightwish is his creation. Emppu (Guitar) is also and original member .
Hello again, Beard Guy. Nice beard by the way. Nightwish Army Phoenix subscriber here for you. Fantastic reaction to this performance by Floor, Marko (the bassist and backup singer on this song), Empuu (the guitarist), Jukka on drums, and the maestro composer and lyricist of 95 percent of their songs, Tuomas Holopainen on keyboards. I loved it and keep the Nightwish live performance reactions coming with Floor on female lead vocals.
As someone who has a hard time paying attention to lyrics (because i couldn't care less...lol) when the music is awesome i appreciate reactors going into the meaning. Makes the reaction more interesting. NW really has expanded my ear for lyrics though.
Hi my friend great to see you back and staying with the amazing nightwish 1 for your list - Rammstein - du hast - Paris another great band love and respect from the UK 👍👍👍👍👍👍🌟😀😀 amazing channel 👍
Welcome to the Nightwish army (Dutch division)! Wishing you a great journey down the rabbit hole from Nightwish! When you're ready for it see...yours is an empty hope and the poet and the pendulum (but first read the background information and see the Wembley version).
Nice reaction! nice to see Romanticide reaction, this song is really popular, but its more on metal side, and you know how is this.. popular=soft..Agressive= Not so Popular...greetings from Argentina!
Gabriel's list has guaranteed great links - so nice because there are so many videos out there of varying quality and sound. It's not intended to be followed strictly, though. If you see a song that interests you or get a suggestion from one of us, don't feel you have to go in order. NW is great for surprises. They go from Celtic folk through to heavy bangers. They've had three female lead vocalists - Tarja - very operatic, Anette - pop/jazz, Floor - anything goes. Marko usually does second vocals, but he sings lead on a number of songs. So happy you're interested in continuing your Nightwish journey. I'm looking forward to it.
@@beardguyreacts Thank you and I’m happy you have decided to do more Nightwish. I found them about 3 years ago and their music is now my favorite. I saw them live in Minneapolis in 2022. It was worth the trip 😉
Go by the list. They're all brilliant. Can't wait for Devil and the Deep Dark Ocean. And, when you are ready (not yet), Poet and the Pendulum and Greatest Show on Earth.
This is about a romance dying. Nightwish lyrics are often multidimensional and a little hard to grasp, but they are always telling a coherent story. This is actually great, there are always excellent heavy music with meaningful lyrics. 🤘🤘🤘
Tuomas composes and creates 95% of everything we see on the stage or hear with NW music. I think your guess with the lyrics was nearly on point. If you listen to more NW music, you can see that NW lyrics are always more or less complicated. You must remember that Tuomas´ first language is Finnish. As a native Finnish I always wonder how it´s possible for him to do so complicated lyrics, yet so meaningful and clever. Thank you for your comments and greets from Finland. Take care.
I agree. Great reaction, BeardGuy👍. You got the message of the song, on point. The right interpretation of this song 👍 Enjoy your journey 🤘, it's a long ride 😊

@@beardguyreacts It's nice to see a few more Brits getting to appreciate Nightwish. You have yet to react to a song featuring the English multi instrumentalist, Troy Donockley who became a full time band member at the same time as Floor in 2013. Maybe try "I Want My Tears Back" at Buenos Aires 2018/19.
