Okay so just for a second, in the intro to the movie I vividly remember someone talking about the vampires in Halloween Town and having a record for the most blood drank... Can we talk about how sometimes they are going out and not just pranking for Halloween scares, but physically hurting and potentially KILLING people? That has always been a nagging concern in the back of my mind and I'd love to have a discussion start around this.
There was once a story I read where the citizens of each of the towns are just people who dies on the holiday. IE Jack dies on Halloween, wakes up as a skeleton in Halloween town.
Jack doesn't use a tree to get to the human world to deliver presents, he just flies there on his sleigh, and then uses a crypt in the cemetery he's shot down in to get back to Halloween town
Interesting little known fact: In Canada Thanks Giving happens before Halloween, occurring usually Mid-October. It also is able to grow those same crops, though maybe on a different time frame as winter/frost hits 'sooner' than in the States
I don't think Halloween town _is_ anywhere. It's like the realms of the Eternals from Sandman. They exist in parallel universes to ours, embodying an aspect of life, in this case Holidays. ...Well, American Holidays. But I bet somewhere in those woods Jack trampled over there are other circles of doors, this time from another culture. Multiple cultures can have the same Holidays, so there could be multiple Christmas towns and even Halloween towns with their own "King of the Pumpkin Patch".
Reminds me of the mortal realms in warhammer. Each realm is a wind of magic made physical, with the central realm (the 8 points) as the nexus for everything.
Based on the description of Thanksgiving Town, I think its location is Canada. Maybe in a southern Ontario or Quebec area where maple trees are in full Autumn colour. In Canada, Thanksgiving is mid-October, 2 weeks before Halloween. This would explain why the leaves are still on the trees in Thanksgiving Town, but not in Halloween Town.
Kleve for Valentine's Day Dublin for St. Patrick's Day Happy Valley-Goose Bay for Christmas Jackson, Kentucky for Thanksgiving Lincoln, Illinois for Halloween Hermitage, Missouri for 4th of July ,and Sinaloa for Easter.
Hey, Abitfrank, I don't know if you do requests but could you discuss the long ongoing myth on the internet that is both Victors from Frankenweenie and Corpse Bride and Jack Skellington were the same and if you could debunk it in a really well written way on how that's impossible or through your own theories if it's the same person, relatives, or ancestors?
Oh and this might help. Canada celebrates Thanksgiving in mid-october so during that time, the leaves are in full color changing mode and it happens before Halloween. Also, our corn tends to ripen in mid-August to Mid-september which is closer our Thanksgiving. The pumpkins are ready in September-October AND we do have wild turkeys in the South-Eastern part of Quebec and Ontario... so... yeah, It's just Canada. lol
Oh, I forgot the Wheat! *googles because I don't know much about wheat: What month is wheat harvested in Canada? The wheat ripens between the end of August and early September.
I wonder if there ever has been a complete and comprehensive map of Halloween town and that realm made for one to inspect. I'd LOVE to see this. The more detail the better.
I had it like this: Halloween Town-Hell Christmas Town-North Pole Valentines Day-Heaven Thanks Giving Day-somewhere on Earth (because there are humans) or maybe in Heaven idk Saint Patrick's Day Town-Somewhere in Ireland or heaven cause Patrick is a Saint And maybe 4th of July-Somewhere in USA
I watched the movie with the idea firmly in mind it was in some other dimension. And we had dimensions for the holidays, even if Santa can be on Earth. We don't really see Halloween Town residents scaring regular humans under usual circumstances.
I'm rewatching these and I think you should make a video about the Battle for the Pumpkin King manga, it's interesting and I believe it is new. I got it last weekend and I think it's very interesting and adds onto the world. (It also had cute designs)
The leaf thing… I think it’s also possible that Halloween town exists on a higher latitude than Thanksgiving town. Peak autumn foliage timeframes vary as you go north to south; northern areas are “ahead” so to speak, so the leaves turn earlier. Bonus fact I recently learned: In summers with lots of rain, the trees will hold onto their leaves longer! Considering that Thanksgiving town (surely) has many bountiful harvests, the summer rainfall in their area might be rather generous.
Has anyone noticed how you can see the cat from Coraline in Halloween town?! You see the cat walking around during the pumpkin king song. you should make a video of how Henry Selick's movies are in the same universe!
I saw The Nightmare Before Christmas when it first released. I was around 12 years old. The one thing I will never forget is when Danny Elfman sang, "the smell of cakes and pies are absolutely everywhere." The subject-verb agreement error drove me crazy, and I still can't look at anything related to The Nightmare Before Christmas without being reminded of it. Dangit, Danny!
First, I have to say, I love your nail polish!! What is it, and where did you get it? Second, I'm a die hard Christmas fan, so I'd go there, first! I also really love fall, though, so I'd probably spend quite a bit of time in Thanksgiving town. That leads me to one point we could consider. Here in Canada, Thanksgiving is in October, not November. That would fit better with the state of things in Thanksgiving Town and Halloween Town. Just a thought :)
If you go a bit more north into Canada, our Thanksgiving is mid October putting it before Halloween. Also maybe Halloween town is just in the constant season of fall where things both grow and decay
Irishboy here; don't worry, St. Patrick's Day is pretty much an American/American Immigrant invention. In Ireland it wasn't a significant or cared about holiday really until we adopted the American tradition more or less! It's well loved too! Hahaa!
I think I would like to visit the Saint Patrick's Day world. The vibrant green country side, and just being able to quest for a pot of gold sounds wonderful.
This video has made my mind race in the question how would the nightmare before Christmas plot be affected if Jack went through a different holiday door. Like the plot, motivation, how Halloween can make there version of the holiday, and the songs. I already commented on a different video to explore this idea but this I just had to ask again. Can you please make this idea into a video?
What about the video games as you ignored them as they are part of the nightmare before christmas Multiverse in the game timeline of the pumpkin king to the movie and then oogie's revenge?
Problem is which of those other books did Tim Burton actually have a hand in? Just because Disney allowed them doesn't make them cannon, or have you not noticed they ruin cannon's?
My theory is the worlds have dimensions or portals connected them and the human world or the world are actually on the Bermuda Triangle. Because no human (assuming) has been there and they wouldn’t be bothered plus since it’s in the ocean they would be the crossroads for all countries traditions and holidays. Furthering the theory of there being a door for every holiday.
What if each world was like thw marvel multi-verse. Where each world is an earth unto itself and the doors betwewn world transfers you more from universe to universe than place to place. So like in the christmas town is behind the door.in the same place as halloween town but over where ww know to be Europe you have father chriatmas township, sinter clusville, krampus village? I mean, it is a really fun theory to think of
I would love to go to Saint Patrick’s Day , and I would love to go to Easter Day and I love spring and I love summer two of my favorites holidays and two of my favorite seasons and weathers
I wish that would be amazing some place other then this Earth 🌎. I love ❤ the movie 🎬 🎞 🎥. I hope they make (long live the pumpkin 🎃 Queen 👸) ❤ Sally's book 📖. I always taught it was very interesting and cool 😎 that a great big forest could be filled with a gove of trees 🌳 decorated with special holiday symbols that can take you to a different world 🌎 ❤. Thanks for making the video 📹 it was interesting and cool 😎. I wish you all the best with your other videos 📹 on You Tube take care.🎆🎃🎁🎄🎉🎃🎁🎄🎆🎉 I would want to visit several of the trees 🌳 but my favorite Hoildays have always been Halloween 🎃, Christmas 🎄, Valentines 💝 Day so I would most want to visit those holidays first.
I think it’s just like a chugging challenge and blood is like Alcohol for them for them
You know, I never thought about that before.. but it totally makes sense
Well, they are actual vampires, so they would probably drink human blood, maybe of those who disrespect Halloween?
@@ikmwrime29sorryaira60 that’s also a good theory
@@ikmwrime29sorryaira60 Or maybe they're drinking the blood of Halloween Town folks? Citizens who actually enjoy getting their blood drained.
There was once a story I read where the citizens of each of the towns are just people who dies on the holiday.
IE Jack dies on Halloween, wakes up as a skeleton in Halloween town.
I thought the same as well. I’m not sure if I read that before or not
..... This is giving me writing idea's i can see a story unfolding in my head, such a good premise, can i use this?
Very interesting! - I assumed the places the different trees lead to would be their own dimension outside of earthly laws.
Remind me to never go to Lovecraft Realm through the Cthulhu head shaped door tree.
Yay an abitfrank video
I don't think Halloween town _is_ anywhere.

Yeah there is doors with other holidays
Reminds me of the mortal realms in warhammer. Each realm is a wind of magic made physical, with the central realm (the 8 points) as the nexus for everything.
The thing with the Halloween town trees, I always thought they were dead. So that might explain the discrepancy with the leaves ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
I thought that, too. I thought all of the characters were dead, too.
Stay with me here: Hollow earth.
They’re all underground, with the sky moving towards the core of the earth.
Your dedication to corn farming research is most impressive.
Kleve for Valentine's Day
Dublin for St. Patrick's Day
Happy Valley-Goose Bay for Christmas
Jackson, Kentucky for Thanksgiving
Lincoln, Illinois for Halloween
Hermitage, Missouri for 4th of July ,and
Sinaloa for Easter.
These has actually been a pet theory of mine for a while nice to see it covered
I think all the Holiday Towns are magic islands covered in special domes that camouflage them and keep a fixed weather.
Thanksgiving town just sounds like Canada in the early fall. lol

Does Oz have a door? Sky travel was how Dorothy and the Wizard came and went.
I wonder if there ever has been a complete and comprehensive map of Halloween town and that realm made for one to inspect. I'd LOVE to see this. The more detail the better.
I had it like this:
Halloween Town-Hell
Christmas Town-North Pole
Valentines Day-Heaven
Thanks Giving Day-somewhere on Earth (because there are humans)
or maybe in Heaven idk
Saint Patrick's Day Town-Somewhere in Ireland or heaven cause Patrick is a Saint
And maybe 4th of July-Somewhere in USA
I like the way you think.
I watched the movie with the idea firmly in mind it was in some other dimension.
And we had dimensions for the holidays, even if Santa can be on Earth.
We don't really see Halloween Town residents scaring regular humans under usual circumstances.
Mom wake up, Abitfrank posted!
Im in Québec and thanksgiving is early October, by the time Halloween show up, things are actually dead here. Maybe it’s in Canada 👀
I was literally just thinking about when your next video was coming out when I got the notification. Perfect timing 👌
I'm rewatching these and I think you should make a video about the Battle for the Pumpkin King manga, it's interesting and I believe it is new. I got it last weekend and I think it's very interesting and adds onto the world. (It also had cute designs)
I hope your having a merryChristmas, I love your videos they are very amazing.
I love the you use different books to make the events flow together how if you go through a different holiday door it takes you to another world.
I'd always thought of it more as a collective unconscious thing, not dissimilar to the Persona Series.
I wonder what the St. Patrick’s Day and Independence Day (4th of July) holiday doors would look like.
Well if you take into account that Canadian Thanksgiving takes place BEFORE Halloween, it could just be in Canada.
I assumed Halloweentown was in another dimension, never mind on this planet!
Has anyone noticed how you can see the cat from Coraline in Halloween town?! You see the cat walking around during the pumpkin king song. you should make a video of how Henry Selick's movies are in the same universe!
I’d like to check out all the doors

What did the Nightmare Before Christmas tree say before it fell?
TIMBURTON!!!!!!
This is an underrated comment.
Wait! so the trick-or-treaters were human!? and also... left their families behind? 🎃🚪🎄

I guess they died really young
Maybe getting blackout drunk on saint pattis day can make your consciousness travel to saint leprechaun city.
I think I would like to visit the Saint Patrick's Day world. The vibrant green country side, and just being able to quest for a pot of gold sounds wonderful.
Thats my bday!
Both my kids birthday... five years apart love Saint Patrick's day
I just realized as obsessed as I am with your work I wasn't subscribed till today...my bad 😅
You think also under your bed or closet or dark holes would be portals to Halloween town
What about other holiday doors to Dream town
This video has made my mind race in the question how would the nightmare before Christmas plot be affected if Jack went through a different holiday door. Like the plot, motivation, how Halloween can make there version of the holiday, and the songs. I already commented on a different video to explore this idea but this I just had to ask again. When you say spoiler, I'm gonna a guess and saying that "Spoiler" is Dream Town.
There’s a few mangas? I need these!!!
I would assume Christmas town is also accessible through a chimney, and the sky is just better due to the size of a sled fill of presents.
Could you please make a video on the ghosts in Coraline
8:11 fr spooky Matpat
Cool a New vid im just 3h late couse i was shoping and taking an art class its saturday. BEST DAY EVER
What about the video games as you ignored them as they are part of the nightmare before christmas Multiverse in the game timeline of the pumpkin king to the movie and then oogie's revenge?
Here's a fun idea Maybe Christmas towns Mortal portal Is the northern most star
Transylvania but in another imaginary dimension
I want to go to Dia de Los Muertos Town, which would probably look something like Coco.
Haven´t watched the full video yet, but I predict it´s located in Ohio. It must be.
Honestly I feel like the people in the Fourth of July town are deaf at this point, constant fireworks going off 24/7? That’d get annoying so fast.
Things like this is where i wish more people would take out from the video games
First off the turkey door then Halloween door then Christmas door to end it off. And why Thanksgiving because food is awesome.
Man the Aztecs Real must have been wild
Problem is which of those other books did Tim Burton actually have a hand in? Just because Disney allowed them doesn't make them cannon, or have you not noticed they ruin cannon's?
They should have hired Danny Elfman to write them.
My theory is the worlds have dimensions or portals connected them and the human world or the world are actually on the Bermuda Triangle. Because no human (assuming) has been there and they wouldn’t be bothered plus since it’s in the ocean they would be the crossroads for all countries traditions and holidays. What about the Game Oogies revenge
I wanna see what this content creator looks like
Im Not Sure If International Pancake Day Town Door Would Exist But I Would Go Their But If not I would go to Thanksgiving town
If I would visit Halloween Town then would that mean my Birthday will be forever?
What if each world was like thw marvel multi-verse. Where each world is an earth unto itself and the doors betwewn world transfers you more from universe to universe than place to place. Every town is really a Fairy Realm.
I would love to go to Saint Patrick’s Day , and I would love to go to Easter Day and I love spring and I love summer two of my favorites holidays and two of my favorite seasons and weathers
I probably would visit Halloweentown
So is krampus part of Christmas or is he something else?
I wanted to know about st Patrick’s day town bc that’s when my b day is
Legit I want to live there ❤
Nice
Yaaaaaaaay
Nightmare before Christmas tells the lore out of season and is cursed
Wait, since when did they have a manga?
The climate issue for the trees and such. Sounds like the American South. It can be 40° Halloween and 80° Thanksgiving. Our weather is weird.
Im trying to go to 4 of July town (I'm Canadian)
If you google translate this Halloween it’s in Arizona

🎆 I believe was created in China for the Chinese New Year or zodiac they did create gun powered
I'm going to have to stop watching your Nightmare Before Christmas videos since you insist on using that awful Pumpkin Queen book as a reference.
Weather changes due to global warming and deforestation so what was then isn't now
Long live the pumpkin queen isn't cannon
