It's really true about Origin: I've had my account compromised twice. Battlefield 1 was by far my favorite video game of all time, I loved the UI, I loved the gameplay, graphics, scale, history, everything about it, (except the Hellriegel) and I really hope they eventually remaster the game because it breaks my heart to try and jump into the game today and seeing how dead it is, being unable to play on my favorite DLC maps because nobody plays them. Man well said. I also love BF1 and it's so sad to see them taking these huge steps back. It was present in BFV but in BF2042 it's just ridiculous the amount of features missing on launch. What pisses me off is that people who defend BFV's lack of realism do so by saying BF1 was not realistic either. Yes, we know BF1 was not super realistic, it was not meant to be a realistic war simulator. *However* BF1 was a million times more immersive than BFV, and that immersion was a huge part of what made BF1 awesome.

You're one of the most interesting and underrated UA-camrs I've ever seen. I was a bit shocked to see that your subscriber count is not in the millions. Oh well, no worries, I expect it will be soon. Cheers!
Great video. To me, BF2 is the one that has pretty much all of the fun and none of the issues. No launcher needed, no bugs, no stupid store, no crazy OP tanks, and you can even play against bots!
I got into it late because the trailer was so ridiculous. The woman with the claw in a WWII setting not being realistic, one of the developers said, "If you don't like it don't buy it" So I didn't. Eventually I did but by then everyone was miles ahead in weapon unlocks and my interest just faded out.
Impressive video. Kinda exemplified what aspects were left in BFV that still made it feel like battlefield (like the teamwork), that were kinda ditched in 2042
Been a big fan since Bf2 as well. Loved ever single game since, except for BfV which I have a love-hate relationship with. Got it when it first came out, but kinda forgot about it until recently when a couple of my friends bought it on sale. We're a group of a total of 5 people that want to play it. We've actually played together 4 out of the 20 times we've attempted to. One or more of us keep getting bandwidth errors, or just can't launch the game. Is there a fix for it? Is it bollocks. This is the biggest issue for me. I have literally spent more time TRYING to get into a game than actually playing the game. And that is not a joke at all. Then there's the fact that around 70 % of players use the same 3 OP weapons... I empty all my bullets into them and and they're still running around, they see me for a split second and hit me with like 5 bullets and I'm instantly dead. Which means you just have to lie there and accept you'll get butt fucked until you are able to get that weapon for yourself. Tanks can go die. People that get into tanks can stay in that tank while the tank dies and explodes and burns. And don't even get me started on the terrible team balancing, where you will either end up on the team that DOMINATES or the team that gets dominated. You either run around and can't find the enemy, or you can't spawn in for more than 5 seconds without being killed. There is very rarely anything in between, where both teams can have fun and get a decent amount of kills. I think I've experienced a balanced game 3 times. It's a fun enough game with friends, even though you get stuck on the same 4 maps over and over again, unless you quit out of the gamemode and change into a different one: which we don't wanna do with how many issues we always have. I would rather play one of the previous games to be honest. As for the newest Battlefield, I'm gonna wait till it's on sale. Like, a proper sale. This is the first time in 10+ years I haven't bought a Battlefield game on launch.
I will say that I really enjoyed BFV and I've sunk many, many hours into the game. A few points I'd like to make: Tanks are NOT overpowered when you considered that every person in the game has an RPG or a grenade. Aircraft gets obliterated by any AA gun and since everyone has an rpg, tanks are immediately *annihilated* if they try and push forward. Not to mention the vehicles are INCREADIBLY difficult to level up, especially when you consider that vehicles are so hard to get to begin with. While it has cross platform play, it DOES NOT have cross platform account transferring. This means that the hours I spent playing on my PS4 unlocking all of my favorite guns and my cool vehicle abilities, I had to start from scratch when I moved to PC. Overall, I really enjoyed BFV and I feel as if it didnt deserve all of the hate it received. (That being said, I waited a long time until after the game came out to play it.)
Dude, when you cued the BF3 in the beginning after covering bad co 2... so much emotion came over me. It really is hard to explain... BF3 was the peak of the franchise IMO. 2042, along with the horrendous customer support from EA, was the final nail in the coffin for me though. RIP Dice and also burn in hell for what you did to our beloved franchise.
Battlefield one is SO good. I love it, its my favorite in the series because its like.. the only world war 1 AAA game i know of. Super cool! Still play it often
Great video even 2 years later, your plane death at around the 12 minute mark was a quintessential BF5 death and really got me laughing. 1. I love this game, it hurts they cut support as soon as it made a great change in playability with the pacific update. I tried to play some more recently and finally forced myself to uninstall due to the shear number of people cheating. If it were not for that, i would most likely still be playing this game with false hope-ium of another update. It is truly my favorite game to play, I didn't want to stop and still don't. 2. Uh, that end "plea"/comment didn't age well with 2042... they indeed... did not listen 3. Can they just focus on that "what makes battlefield good" formula that is extremely loved and successful, rather than chase other peoples successful trends?
I remember playing Strike at Karkand, Dalian Plant and Gulf of Omand so goddamn much in Battlefield 2. And then I found Project Reality. What a goddamn revelation I had playing that mod. Most of my childhood was WoW, Battlefield, Dungeon Keeper and Diablo. Anyway, enough boomer-juice ranting. Really been loving all of your videos since the RDO went viral! Hope the influx of viewers continue.
What happended? the OGs of devs started leaving left and right, and in return they had to hire people that didn't have a similar experience like the OGs to make a great BF Game. Thus the passion died and it all became minimal effort maximum profit. Only focus. THAT. Is what happended.
Battlefield 4 was so fucking great and still the best imo, and after that they never managed to release a great present-day shooter. We got every world war that no one wants or ultra far fetchted space sci fi shooter.... Just give us a Battlefield 3/4...... How hard could it be to develop something that people want!
Actually in today's age I think we dont have enough ultra sci fi space shooters. It's nearly died out for me except 40k and halo is probably hanging on by a thread. It's all because the boomers of gaming who wanted "the old cod" back or basically anything.
I love the realism of bf but my friends are a all fast paced cod players so me wanting to play battlefield asking them to play with me they say no so then I play by myself a have the same problem with rdr2 I love it my friends hate it it’s almost like they have ADHD (they don’t I do) and can’t handle the slower paced game
Great content! Battlefield has always been my favorite when it comes to shooters and everything you said is spot on. Looking forward to BF6 release tomorrow! Hopefully it will be a step in the right direction for the series!
@Jack Sather: Those weapons you can buy in BFV are weapons which have been part of the Tides of War unlocks. They added them as buyable items later so people who missed out the weekly challenges still have a chance to claim those guns. Tanks are hard to counter, but the game expects players to put up anti tank guns, use aircraft and clever placed mines against them and counter fire from your own tanks. Players are only able to rape an enemy team with a tank if those players simply put suck, when a single well paced Pak could have propably saved them. Balance in MP games always depends on both sides doing their job correctly. The main issue about BFV was the delayed content and killing support for the title way too early. Otherwise the game could age like a fine wine.
I was a diehard battlefield fan since the original 1942 on PC [not the 1943 arcade version]. BF3 was the last time they had good ideas and executed on them well. BF4 is really good now but was plagued on release and had a somewhat negatively recieved beta. Everything changed for BFV and as we see, going forward, someone in marketing is now in charge of the game's direction so it no longer has a direction.
I haven’t stopped watching since I found a video from you. Keep making awesome stuff man!!! I had a seriously weird love hate relationship with BF5 a lot of time matches were hit or miss
Battlefield 1 has the greatest soundtrack in BF series imo there are so many great themes The Wolves and Grace and Glory are my favourites it shows proper doom and gloom. I played BF5 during my free month of Origin pass because they repayed me cause their support broke my library of games or something I dunno...It was okay but I didnt feel like I was playing battlefield it was people running around nobody revived nobody gave ammo the atrition mechanic with 2 mags was dumb idea, squads reduce to 4 people is awfull they almost neutured. It especially hurts when next installment sucks even more than this game. But I give them props to innovate in some areas (movement additions, buildable barricade, bandages, ressuplyable stations build by supports) it sucks that these good things are overwhelmed with shitty marketing, buggy launch, lack of proper anticheat, origin problems and whole laundry list of other issues.
Battlefield 3 was the first game I played myself, and I adored playing it every weekend when i was younger. BF4 was super fun as well, after the bugs were ironed out it was a great game, and BF1? I sucked at it but it was cool xD. Hurts to see what's happened to the series since, especially after 2042.
Sucks how much bad reception BFV got, sure a lot of it was deserved but A LOT of it wasn't. The game still feels like the best DICE has ever been.. I like BF1 more but I can't deny the advancements they made with this game.
I'm mad it wasn't about my favorite underused FPS conflict: Vietnam. BF1 was about WW1, in response (at least to me) COD WW2 was about well WW2, and then BFV was teased and I was like "hey, it has V in the title, not 5, it must stand for Vietnam!". How disappointed I was.
I fucking hate how if you unlock something mid-round you can't use it until the next round, like why was that necessary? Unlock system in bf4 worked just fine
I think the realistic edge is what set BF apart from Call of Duty with its freedom in the early days with combined arms but then in a visually violent way and masterful sounddesign. That's why bad company 2 is considered the best which DICE admitted they aren't sure what it's loved more in my humble opinion. So if they look at how popular the simulator lobbies on the new portal system are and compare it against a game like Hell Let Loose which is the best battlfield game ever made despite ot actually being one. If they follow this trend and marry their visual/presentation with a violent action that almost veers into horror aspect of war that hits the adrenaline itch BF1 poked at in its most chaotic moments then they are on to something huge that will alter the mainstream trajectory of the shooter genre. So what's next for Battlefield? Which war best encapsulates the horror of war? Battlefield Vietnam. In fact it's already has a blueprint in the form of Rising Storm Vietnam that is great so adding a DICE lick of paint is an incredible property. That or Battlefield Korea.

As someone who started playing bf5 multiplayer in early 2021 after getting game pass with a series x, I really really enjoy how fun the multiplayer is. I watched from the outside all the launch controversy and totally understand but just from my experience of jumping in a game its so fun. The shakiness I agree with joining games etc but I just enjoy playing.
BfV is such a good game on consoles it seems compared to pc I’ve never had a problem on the game playing on ps4 and now ps5 it’s one of the best games I’ve played
Any chance you’d take a peek at Red Orchestra 2 or Post Scriptum? They are the next step from battlefield in terms of WWII games, highly recommend if you want digital ptsd.
song at 8:27 ??? it really slaps as a bop. & I want to know. Also since the 2042 dump fire this doesn't seem like a bad game anymore especially after the updates to the game that fixed it but I really don't think it should be normal for them to release a game unfinished with bugs, that's my only gripe with how dice does things currently but it's mostly EA's fault for those poor quality's. I always knew this wasn't entirely a bad game and the mini stories are still pretty good, The Last Tiger was my favorite it was emotionally captivating and we don't normally see the war from the German perspective in games, the only problem with it was just the micro transactions & bug's but the point's you made are also valid.
I remember I got this one perfect squad in bf5, best squad for countless games in a row, we were on point, legit the saving grace of our team, it was so much fun, never played with those guys again
damn your videos are great and very similar to my interests. been craving a video game content creator like you! long. detailed. lots of work. very much enjoyed.
I think the reason why they made tanks so busted was because they wanted players to truly be afraid of the tanks, but they just made them annoying as you would have to basically switch to assault just to tickle it’s belly a tiny bit

A few points I'd like to make:
Tanks are NOT overpowered when you considered that every person in the game has an RPG or a grenade.
I love the down to earthness of this video, with the audacity in the background. Man youre deveoping into one of my fav game reviewers
I appreciate the editing that went into this video because I can tell it was alotttt haha. Great content man
Love your channel man! Funny watching this after 2042 release - makes BFV look like a well polished masterpiece in comparison
2. Uh, that end "plea"/comment didn't age well with 2042... they indeed... did not listen
3. Can they just focus on that "what makes battlefield good" formula that is extremely loved and successful, rather than chase other peoples successful trends?
The recommendation for DICE to listen to their player base in their next game didn't age well
Dice listened to the community when they introduced customisation options in BFV and people hated it.
EA: thanks for your input, we will be doing absolutely nothing you suggested
What happended? the OGs of devs started leaving left and right, and in return they had to hire people that didn't have a similar experience like the OGs to make a great BF Game. Thus the passion died and it all became minimal effort maximum profit. Only focus. THAT. Is what happended.
I found you 20 minutes ago and you're already one of my favorite youtubers! Thank you!
Thank you :))
Battlefield 4 was so fucking great and still the best imo, and after that they never managed to release a great present-day shooter. We got every world war that no one wants or ultra far fetchted space sci fi shooter.... Just give us a Battlefield 3/4...... How hard could it be to develop something that people want!
Bruh you know how many times I’ve read ‘imo’ and didn’t know it was an acronym for ‘in my opinion’ lol
@@kanjo4976 haha damn this opens up a whole new world then
Actually in today's age I think we dont have enough ultra sci fi space shooters. It's nearly died out for me except 40k and halo is probably hanging on by a thread. It's all because the boomers of gaming who wanted "the old cod" back or basically anything.
Dude I'm just watching all of your vids in order. so much work put into these.
Thank you!!
Would love to hear your thoughts on 2042 man!
Yeah we waiting on it
18:00 this aged like milk
I really like this video, you are definitely underrated. Battlefield 2042 is the only BF game I won't buy :(
I love the realism of bf but my friends are a all fast paced cod players so me wanting to play battlefield asking them to play with me they say no so then I play by myself a have the same problem with rdr2 I love it my friends hate it it’s almost like they have ADHD (they don’t I do) and can’t handle the slower paced game
@kc korea depends on the game mode and the map.
ooof the battlefield 3 music hits
From my experience, on Xbox next gen, if you just play the pacific theater, goat battlefield
“What happened to battlefield?”
Greed, greed is the answer.
'sharpen you're next game' oh Jack, only if they listened
What the hell happened with BF2042?
Great content! Battlefield has always been my favorite when it comes to shooters and everything you said is spot on. Looking forward to BF6 release tomorrow! Hopefully it will be a step in the right direction for the series!
It’s tomorrow!? Man i’m so excited. Looks like it’s gonna be modern, which i’m looking forward too, thanks for the compliment and the info dude!
@@JackSather should've been more clear, an official trailer release is tomorrow lol
This comment aged like old milk.
Things that aged poorly:
Pinning this cause it’s hilarious how hyped I / we were 😂
Telling you while playing bf 5, you gotta listen to ww2 era music that shit will give u chills.
You started playing Battlefield since BF2 ? Ahh a gentleman of culture !
Hallo battlefield heroes enjoyer here 🗿
Hahaha
After Battlefield five, it would’ve made more sense to revisit Vietnam
11:18 I didnt know you could use the telephone in game. crazy.
Battlefield 5 is an awesome Battlefield experience but an awfully disrespectful depiction of WW2.
I'll admit once the war in the pacific addon came out for BF5 I loved it!
There are too many hackers running like speed of light when I play.
Yup, stopped playing my favorite game of all time (BF5) as a result.... its like every game and EA is complacent.
I haven’t stopped watching since I found a video from you. Keep making awesome stuff man!!! I had a seriously weird love hate relationship with BF5 a lot of time matches were hit or miss
Thanks!!!!
Hurts to see what's happened to the series since, especially after 2042.
coming back to this video when the bf5 have most steam players in all of its timeline after fucking with bf2042
Really great! Your videos are always fresh and clean while constantly making me laugh. Looking forward to the next
Thank you man!
at 4:47 i was expecting a smash cut to a vpn ad. i was very wrong so here's a sub for that
Sucks how much bad reception BFV got, sure a lot of it was deserved but A LOT of it wasn't. The game still feels like the best DICE has ever been.. I like BF1 more but I can't deny the advancements they made with this game.
Everytime i see these small underrated channels i try always to subscribe to supoort great video
Everyone collectively forgot about that one game that came out in 2015 with the cops
BFV sound design was amazing, perfect footstep audio
That Montage when he says he actually likes the game is a piece of art
do you know the name of the music that plays during it?
I'm mad it wasn't about my favorite underused FPS conflict: Vietnam. BF1 was about WW1, in response (at least to me) COD WW2 was about well WW2, and then BFV was teased and I was like "hey, it has V in the title, not 5, it must stand for Vietnam!". How disappointed I was.
Update: BF 2042 was a complete dumpster fire, BF is down real bad
Well 2042 sure lived up to this, huh?
💀💀
This video hits like a truck after the release of 2042. How emblematic of DICE's resistance to change.
There's nothing better than staying up late and listening to your reviews!
4:06 that comparision of battlefield and fallout looks so similar it hurts
I fucking hate how if you unlock something mid-round you can't use it until the next round, like why was that necessary? Unlock system in bf4 worked just fine
8:50 I felt that headshot. NICE
That headshot "ping" sound is still the most satisfying sound in battlefield history
Seems like I’m not the only one who found you through the red dead video. Very cool to find your channel. I always like finding new creators that have a unique style of the jokey review guys. Definitely cool finding someone who feels new and distinct. Hope to see your channel grow over the years. Keep it up!
Ngl at 8:29 that montage was pretty epic 👍
The Planes Trains and Automobiles nod at the beginning earned my utmost respect. That was legendary dude
You cracking a beer in the first seconds of the video has earned you a sub
U wanna get dominated by this guy? Alright man I get it I guess
I love BFV. I feel like for me it’s the best of the franchise. I enjoy WW2 games
Step by step literally the exact same issues happened to me. Preach.
I've felt each and every frustration listed, actually had forgotten about this game even though I'm pretty sure I spend a LOT of time on it
I also really loved BFV for its gameplay, it was just a lot of fun to play imo. It was pretty sad to see the potential of the game squandered.
Loved this!
Saasaaaaaame
Thank you!!
*Spoiler*: EA didn't listen to their audience and Battlefield 2042 is apparently Overwhelmingly negative on Steam in 2022
YES!!! Finally! Someone else who experienced Origin getting hacked. They played Battlefield 3 on my account and put suppressors on EVERYTHING. They played support though so I'm happy about that.
😂 so glad someone is out there understanding my pain! And dude ya! They played like.. star wars on my account? That’s hilarious they leveled support for ya haha
It's actually in really good shape on Xbox currently. The last updates they did before moving onto 2142 really made it come into it's own.
Battlefield 3 - 1 is genuinely one of the best eras for multiplayer shooters. I hope they can recover after V and especially 2042.
AGST - Fights

@@anaustralianmale6488 Thank you so much! Epic!
@@CarmineKar98K no problem, have a great day :)
I miss dislikes. Screw youtube.
I remember I got this one perfect squad in bf5, best squad for countless games in a row, we were on point, legit the saving grace of our team, it was so much fun, never played with those guys again
Im pretty sure that battlefield 1 is still alive
Of course it is bf 1 and bf 5 are both masterpieces
damn your videos are great and very similar to my interests. been craving a video game content creator like you! long. detailed. lots of work. very much enjoyed.
Thank you very much!!
I think the reason why they made tanks so busted was because they wanted players to truly be afraid of the tanks, but they just made them annoying as you would have to basically switch to assault just to tickle it’s belly a tiny bit
