The writer took part as a passenger in an illegal street race in NYC while looking for inspiration and a story. They all had a fucking blast acting in these scenes and all want to reunite eventually. If you are at all interested, check out Simone Baily's yt-channel, where she does podcast-style interviews with basically all of the cast and goes in reeeeeal depth about the process and the fun they had while shooting MW, there is tons of stuff to find out and the way they still go on about it 1.5 decades later shows how much care and passion went into it even though the endresult is as cheesy as a cave in switzerland.
I just looked up Habib (The Art Director) on Wikipedia to see what other games and movies he's worked on you were NOT kidding. For movies he's worked on Blade Runner 2049, The Bourne Identity, f-ing Star Wars Episode 1 in VFX/Post production work! With games he's also worked on Sunset Overdrive and Ryse: Son Of Rome as Art director.
That's gotta be awkward to be named Paul Walker and be associated with something racing related. I always thought that model looked like Andrew Garfield from behind. And as for the actors, I wonder who the other Blacklist racers are. I mean we know who Razor, Ronnie, Bull and Izzy are, but the identities of everybody else are still a mystery
This game is so over the top it's amazing, that's why it's unforgettable, i mean, even my dad who just saw me play sometimes remembers Ronnie and when we come across each other in traffic he does that hand thing
The main thing about NFSMW05 cutscenes isn't that they are bad or good, it's the amount of personality from each character you see, the cast, even if some times it doesn't sound perfect, it sounds "real" to the world of the game and they keep that consistency through out the entire game, there's clearly a lot of passion from the actors and the devs in the cutscenes and it just shows every time. Also, yes a lot of the actors put improvised actions into the recordings.

15:23 I love the detail of it showing Mia's face in the rear-view mirror so we still see her reaction to what Razor is saying even in she's not in frame. These cutscenes are hilarious and fun to watch but that little detail is pretty cool to me. I actually never noticed that when I played the game and originally saw this cutscene. The cast looked like they had a ton of fun shooting this
I find it funny that Carbon picks up literally right after the end of Most Wanted, and your character loses his car again within the first five minutes.
It was definetly cheesy on purpose. Not just the acting, the graphics, the editing... it makes the story legendary. If they were taking themselves too seriously it would have aged terribly, but they were doing it all on purpose, so its just fun and timeless.

Same for NFS Carbon. I think they had a LOT of fun making those. Yeah, they are corny but they are like 1000% better than NFS2015 or even in-game cutscenes from Payback or Heat. Why? Its a race car that cant be used like a street car Which is why he points out gauges, shifters, wheels. also If you zoom in on the windshield, you can see what its insides really look like. In most wanted 5-1-0 the psp game there is a version of the BMW in that game that shows what it was ment to look like.
I just started Risk of Rain 2 yesterday because of your video and love it already! Can't wait to watch this video. Keep up the amazing work Jack!
love RoR2!! great to hear, and thank you!
Such a legendary game. The music is what brings back all the memories for me, great vid
This is still one of the best games ever made I go back and play it at least once a year
17:06 top notch moment 😂
I howled multiple times. Especially 6:20 at Mia “whaaaaaaa??”
13:10 Wow... The phone actually changes when they zoom out lmao
This channel is too damn smart and entertaining to not be getting more views, spread the word this guys stuff is high quality..nice work dude hope to see more stuff, would love to see a GTA online vid
😭 thank youu
EVERYONE!!! is Gary Oldman reference from movie Leon
Dude when she calls Ed look how long she goes without looking at the road! 😆
😂😂
@13:10 - The phone flips when the camera zooms out of the phone display.. lmao 😂
14:10 Legendary edit
Not that Incredibles edit with the terminated screen 😂😂😂 you're hilarious dude
We need a Need for Speed Underground 2. The soundtrack alone is a nostalgia trip
"this guys a gangster? His real name is Clarence."
Yeah dude😳... him or his editor FUCKED up missing slipping this icon line!
Dude you're like the chillest youtuber. You actually did a whole video commentary to fill out the time for a bigger video just so that we could have more content from you. Keep doing the good work bro!
You can see the exact moment his heart broke at 9:28
Great editing!
Maaaan this bring back memories when I was like 7 years old playing most wanted on my PS2
As a kid playing that game, the cutscenes looked so much better than it actually was lol. But as adult, it's somehow just as good but in a different way, can't explain why. 😆
"This guy's a gangsta?! His real name's Clarence!" - Eminem
I keep comming back to this video every once in awhile
Editing is on point🙂
Your friendship with Ronnie is amazing😂😂despite his involvement in sabotaging your car
2:24 nice racer name lmao
I just found your channel, I had a great laugh!
You killed me at 16:08, I was crying from laughter for a good 5-6 minutes.
Definitely subbed, love your style, keep up the good work man! ;)
It was always like that. NFS Undercover and NFS 2016 had horrid cutscenes too.
Once again Jack come back and not just to give us this video as a snack. If you don’t like, comment, and subscribe you must be on crack because not watching his vids is wack!
BARS!
You're no hack, because those rhymes of yours are on the attack!
@@KwadDamyj I consider myself a pro because I don’t have to rap about having a hoe. My beats drop harder than thunder and leave all the haters to wonder. My rhymes don’t ever miss but if you ask you might just get a kiss
“Razor set you up”
You think 🤣🤣🤣
This game brings back soo many memories! My love for cars started with this. Use to play with my friends on LAN. The music also was also good. Damn feel like playing this game again. Truly iconic!
At 3:20 I'm pretty sure Cross meant that the gauge, shifter, and wheel LOOK nice.
11:55 actually she drove us to the place where we selected our first car then she gave us the GPS information to the safehouse and we drove there. So that's what she was saying by you found it.
Hilarious video tho..keep it up mate.
“His real name’s probably RICK” LMAO😂😂😂
Mia is SO MID 2000’s 10/10 lol
I wonder how she’s doing today. Good video as usual!
3:59 my racing days are just beginning, baby😭
1:22 he's laughing because they messed with his car prior to the race with razor lol
The acting was oscar worthy when I was 11 😂😂😂
😅 funny AF dude - totally forgot how bad cut scenes used to be. Loved that era of cheap actors in real cutscenes, please do a take on red alert 2 next! 🙏
"hey, you little punk" - this scene with Ronnie is like de video: Need for speed most wanted in a nutshell
The "My leg" quote from SpongeBob at 0:53 is just brilliant
Hahaha yesss so glad someone caught it
One thing that bugged me as a teen playing the game was how Bull, being a minion of Razor, can get a half-a-million-$ Mercedes McLaren.
If Bradley Cooper and a Golden Retriever had a baby
"whats a matter dawg you embarrassed? This guy's a gangsta? His real names Clarence, and Clarence lives at home with both parents, and Clarence parents have a real good marriage."
You out here earning that rep, with videos like this, keep it up and remember 12:06
This part completely took me off guard, that was the part when I laughed my ass off xD
Dude you’re vídeo and you’re humor is the best I swear 😂
Another jack vid so soon just saved my night had a 8hour shift in work just got home now it’s 2am and this has some how made me happy love you man
Woo!! Glad to hear!
I haven't laughed this hard in ages...and that Incredibles edit was insane! 😂
Feeling like shit today. You posting made it a million times better. Now I must watch!
