I decided not to do it but you can always play the three video examples back to back in the browser. I will be posting a video on my thoughts of all of the pickups reviewed so far.
@@aaronshortmusic Thanks, I just pulled the trigger and ordered a sound hole pickup, a seymour duncan. I've got 3 fine gtrs and I would like to have pickups in to avoid mic feedback adjustments. I'll look into the Cole Clark. Have you been micing at all?
I had Teddy Dazzo install a Dazzo in 2 of my guitars. Wow what a difference. The guitar amplified, sounds like the natural unplugged sound of the guitar. This far surpasses all of the other acoustic guitar pickups I have tried. Hands down… the best. I have spent a fortune on pickup that didn’t come close. I’m a believer. Thanks for your review.
Hi! Great video. What do you think: Ultratonic vs. Dazzo? What would you recommend overall for playing live in situations that might get a bit louder? Thanks!
@@aaronshortmusic Your Welcome Aaron, just in case you did not know I am Francis from TPPR and the Replay show is were we will be broadcasting the community artists music from now on.
Hi Aaron -- I have a K&K pickup in my guitar at present, and when my palm comes down on the strings, keeping the rhythm, I'm getting a distorted thump/click sound which I can't get rid of. Just wondering if you could comment on whether or not the Dazzo is prone to this kind of percussive overload?
@@aaronshortmusic on PrismSound Lyra converters and my Adam A77X I could swear I hear some added distorsion, nothing too annoying. It's also a tad brighter (or call it detailed?) and thicker than the direct to interface signal. Anyway, thanks for the video, it is quite revealing on the Dazzos. I wonder if they could wire the 2 elements separately, as a custom thing, to a TRS endpin jack. To be able to decode the side information (of an M/S) from them á la Doug Young. He is also using the SunnAudio, the 2 channel preamp/d.i., and do the M/S thing with a DPA mic for side and the transducer on mid wide. It can also be done with the Radial Engineering Decoder, in my case I was thinking to keep the mid information from the Fishman undersaddle system of my old Taylor 314. Dazzos seem like the closest thing to a mic, an internal one with better isolation. Sorry for the rant, we're close to bedtime in my part of the world and here's one guy's dream of a better wired sound for his guitar :). Regards from Bucharest.
After seeing how dazzo's are installed i took 2 disc transducers from a journeytek classical 4 disc set, put one disc under high e, the other inbetween low e and a and wired them seperately to a stereo jack. I use a Y cable and eq each disc seperately on the amp, have much more control, the sound is much better better because i can keep all the best things from each transducer. And no problem with weak high e because i boost that disc a smidge. Think i just found my favourite setup. In my opinion it beats k&k out of the water. Not sure about dazzo cause i havent tried them. Great video Aaron!
@@alamaguitars5693 K&K is good if you have the right outboard gear/don’t play too loud. What is wrong with having a battery in the guitar? I’m curious to know why…
What's the ultimate matey still the fishman rare earth blend? I'm needing or should I say wanting a good un to replacate the sound of the guitar it's going in my d28 currently has a baggs element installed cheers in advance matey
Hard to say what’s best for everyone. You should consider ‘upgrading’ the Element to the Anthem SL. It will be quite easy and I have a video about it on my channel.
@@aaronshortmusic Hey Aaron, I've been playing the Schatten HFN Passive for a couple years now in my Mcilroy guitar. I'm strongly considering swapping it out for the Dazzo. Could you elaborate more on the pros and cons? Personally after many moves and tape vs putty installs I find the Schatten too bright and not enough bass. It seems the Dazzo has more potential for bass and an overall warmer sound. and a higher output too? Thanks!
Yeah, looking forward to the comparison video on all three soundboard transducer pickups
Heya, I may have missed this, but has there been a Dazzo vs. Amulet in the same guitar yet? Would be VERY insigtfull
Thanks, Aaron! I think it would be great to do a back-to-back between the K&K, the Dazzo and the Trance Amulet.

@@Grindstaff09 I think it’s still the Cole Clark. I used the K&K tonight. It did the job but it wasn’t great.

I think a head to head with the K&K would be informative. How does it sound through your JBL system?
Thanks David, I think I will do that. The JBL is a great match with its extensive EQ options.
Thx,, great show, keep at it,

Either would be good but I prefer the dual source systems these days like the Anthem. I’m excited to try the HiFi Duet that is coming soon.
Well done!
Thank you!

It is either the install or you just need to EQ out the low end with a HPF.
Sounds pretty good. Still doesn't top the L.R. Baggs Anthem or the Schatten HFN to my ears....(and earbuds).
Hi! are you did test the irig acoustic stage?
Is it just me or adding the SunnAudio d.i. also adds some distorsion? Might feed the interface a bit too high of a level?
I don’t think so. Maybe you are hearing UA-cam compression. The interface wasn’t clipping.
