Thanks Aaron. Your pickup reviews are so helpful. You hear things I can’t. I use two different pickup systems: The Fishman Aura VT Blend that was pre-installed in my Martin 000-28 Modern Deluxe. And I use a Fishman Rare Earth Blend that I temporarily install in my Bourgeois OM Guitar. I use the dual sources to simulate mid side stereo using a SunAudio MS-2.
@@aaronshortmusic Interesting, I haven't heard the Dazzo or the new Baggs Hifi, but I have a Schatten HFN which is also quite good, but not quite the resolution of the Amulet. So which of these higher end SBT's are the best sounding to you ?
I have the MVT Amulet installed in my Gibson J-45 and I love it! Especially compared to the under the saddle pickup that came with it. As you said, it has a very natural sound when plugged in. I love the tone of my guitar unplugged and I wanted to feel the same way with it plugged in. This pickup system does that for me. My only problem with it, and I am hoping I can solve it, is that I get magnetic interference noise when I use a wireless guitar system with it. Something to do with grounding I assume. If you have any advice for that I would love to hear it. Thanks!
It’s probably because of where the active preamp is. It’s too close to the transmitter. You will have to find a system that doesn’t suffer from that or use a short extension cable to move it further away.
The NV Tone looks like it is a mic inside the guitar so it should sound much more like the guitar. The question I have is can it be used on a loud stage?
VERY nice - thanks for the plug! That guitar sounds great.
loving this series
Thanks Louis!
Great stuff Aaron. You always make these reviews so interesting.
Great test. Well executed. Thanks for doing this.
Thank you!

Nice!
When the new Ultra version comes out (check their website) - you should review that too please :) Big fan of Trance, have an MV-T in my Gibson AJ
It looks like they have made some nice improvements but I wasn’t a fan of the overall sound which I imagine will be the same.

@@VoortVlugtend I find them all quite similar. I prefer a dual or tri source system. I will be interested to hear the HiFi Duet.
Good review Aaron.
Thanks David! Which pickups do you use?

It sounded really good, especially comparing it with the Neuman.
Cheers Brad!
Through a PA this pickup sounds legendary.
The direct interface doesn’t do it any justice.
All pickups sound better with the speakers moving the air in the room but I use IEM’s so the direct sound is important to me.
I wonder how the K & K Ultra Pure System sounds, compared to this one?
I have a review of the K&K and the Dazzo. If you load up three tabs you can play them back to back.
It sounds like a different guitar. I just installed nv tone duo. Best sounding pickup or mic I’ve ever played.

@@aaronshortmusic I’m not sure. I do play at church with no problems but it’s also an in ear monitoring environment.
i currently running the anthem full and was wondering your preference between the HIFI and the amulet m, and why?
I would keep the Anthem and wait for the next version of the HiFi that will supposedly add a microphone.
Do you think the schatten pickup is the most natural sounding pickup?
I would say the K&K with the Baggs VoicePrint DI pedal is the most ‘natural’. Having said that, I don’t use it myself…
