Two months between videos, but this content is superb. You're really developing your UA-cam chops. I think you're near the very top in photography videos.
Thank you. I've just had a crazy busy couple of months. I don't want this gap to be the norm.
I really appreciate the amount of effort you have put into researching how to replicate a medium format photograph, to replicating the actual look of film, and to the overall editing that go into your videos. Hats off to you!
Hands down, you are my favorite UA-camr! I learn a great deal from your videos and your style is unmatched. Please keep doing what your doing! I have bought your LR presets not only because I think they are going to really improve my personal work but because I want to support you as an Artist! Thanks Jamie for the inspiration.
Your videos, Jamie-I look forward to them. Not just due to well thought out and often-times thought-provoking content, but also because your editing is brilliant, entertaining, and simply a delight to behold. Thank you.
If it lets him make more intro's like these ones I think its worth it
So great to find a channel that speaks with such a depth of knowledge and experience. Purchased the preset packs because now I know how much care was put into them. Keep up the great content, Jamie.
Just wanted to thank you for essentially creating what has been a dream for me for ages. Wanted to get into film photography but the cost of film kept me away from it. Your emulations are on point and you can gladly take my money. Great effort mate!
Many, many thanks for making these presets available for all to enjoy. I stumbled across your youtube channel for the first time yesterday, and decided to purchase the combo package of your lightroom settings. They absolutely blow me away. I never imagined my scanned slides from the early 2000s would ever look this great digitally. Thanks so much!!
I don't even have lightroom, but watched and enjoyed the whole thing. As others have said, your intro and the ingenious cuts you have been doing lately are absolutely mesmerizing. The background music is also a great balance between interesting and distracting... I don't want it too loud so I can hear what you're saying, but really enjoy listening to it as well. Thank you for making these videos, brilliant stuff.
Bought! These are outstanding! Tried them over some old photos and I don’t think I had any photos that didn’t look great with one of these presets. I appreciate all the time and effort I’m sure it took you to develop these. Thank you!
Solid work man. You have amazing delivery, this is not the average tutorial!
The way your video flows is just so relaxing. Especially loved your talking when you introduced your presets and explaining the original film. I want to hear your explaining each one forever haha
Jamie, your videos are absolutely superb. Your content is engaging and informative and you deliver it beautifully. Your editing is clean, creative and modern and you give so much more insight than other channels. You don't simply talk about specs and technical information. You make your audience feel it and in turn, understand it in the way in a powerful and enlightening way. I feel genuinely inspired after each video and that is such a hard thing to do consistently. Honestly, You have one of the best channels i've ever come across on UA-cam. You've gained a life long subscriber here.
Youre spending more time making videos and its eating up your vision. Either way, its paying off with the transitions and video structure. this video didnt make me blink. Thats how good it is.
Got the presets. They're the only presets I've ever used that actually look like the Portra 400 scans I get back from The FIND Lab! I've tried so many and they all seem to be based off of the Fuji Frontier scanner, but since I use the Noritsu I've never had an accurate preset. Great job, Jamie!
Do you stll have it now?
Such imaginative transitions ! Also I'd never really thought of using the photomerge function for a portrait, I think I'll mess around with it a bit more as it's a really powerful but easy to use tool.
I could watch your videos all day. The content and style that goes into these videos is great. I love the transitions that you perform. so creative and stylish. Thanks for sharing your knowledge sir.
I just can't get enough of your videos. Thanks for the great insight and inspiration. Looking forward to follow along on your photographic journey
Your videos really make me look at photography in such a unique way and I thank you for it. I will be purchasing these presets and supporting you fully. Thanks!
Wow, I love your videos, you actually tell your process as it is and what you have learned. Love that for a change instead of photo "hacks" and klickbait. Also love the artistic touch to the videos! Keep going!
Jamie: you're a damn wizard with the video transitions. Well done!
Jamie, this transitions are amazing!!! You're a real artist!!!
Nice job. I shoot medium format when I'm not shooting digital. I just re-edited a shoot I was about to deliver with these presets and they look great. Really gave it that film feel that I love. Thank you!
That nostalgic film emulation at 4:22 is pretty organic. Well done!
Superb couple of videos. Straight to the facts and no waffle. Never tried Cinestill 50D but love the look of it. Made me want to get straight on a flight to Naples with a few rolls! It just has that look.
Jamie, your videos are absolutely fantastic. The production, the content, everything. I love your channel.
I've been looking for a good film preset for years! I could never figure out how to make one myself, but it looks like my wait is over. These are fantastic, as well as the tutorials, thank you so much!
I appreciate you actually spending the time to create specific presets based on specific film stock and not "a film look" preset. Hadn't considered presets before now./
Really great couple of videos on this! You’re so slick on Lightroom! Would love to see a video on how you edit your intros to your videos. I recognise this one from Instagram!!
You are one of the few who makes me want to actually buy the preset. Very nice informative video.
Thank you so much for your presets. They cheap, extremely useful and yes I can see you put a lot of effort into them. I do enjoy your input and description of how photographic art impacts the individual and well as these tutorials. This has helped me out immensely in not just in refining my skills but also understanding how to view subjects. Please keep going.
man, the intro is brilliant! Love Your Typography choice aswell.
I just downloaded and used. OMG I am blown away. Love it! Thank you.
This channel should have already got 1M subs. Btw the presets from you are just awesome, I literally went buying it when I saw the fifth photo you showed.
Awesome presets! Thanks for creating them and the explanation! Just bought the set and having fun tweaking them.
bought the first pack and now Im back for this. I couldnt be happier
Amazing editing in this video! I'm clearly gonna buy these presets. Great work Jamie!
Love your transitions, Jamie! You def have chops, as well as heart, sir. Already subscribed, but hitting that bell now. 🛎😉
Loved these two series. Thanks for doing them Incredible content. And now I shall buy the presets!
Purchased! Thank you for your hard work in developing presets that actually have some substance!
Great video as always! Thank you. I actual love film and it’s the main medium of my photography practice. I do however shoot digital as well. It will be fun trying to approximate my film shots with digital emulations.
I got the new presets, they're fantastic. Im accomplishing my desired colors so much faster now. Your videos are punchy, entertaining and helpful, thanks for those!
You editing skills are amazing!
Jamie, congrats, great work, a lot of thought and time and experimentation went into it, and it really shows. (One thing about the fader thing though: Capture One Pro has this feature built in, I wonder when Lightroom realises that this Photoshopish feature is badly needed there too...) Also, amazing transitions in the videos, just wow :)
Trust me, it's so good. Portra 160 and Astia are my favorites. Great job man. I can't thank you enough.
What a great video mate. Well done. An educating video as well. Subbed for the Anthony Burrill poster behind you
Awesome videos, you've got real video editing skills and lots of creativity. Love the presets!
Just got them today, I must say they are really worth it!!!
Thank you Jamie!!! ♥️♥️
Only recently stubbled upon you. Really appreciated the amount of effort that goes into your videos (as well as the message, obviously)
Thank you so much, incredibly helpful and useful. Can't wait to work on some of these concepts.
Love the quality of your videos especially your scene transitions👌. Also don't look so guilty about charging people for your presets. You worked hard on them, they are your IP. People will just be happy you make them available at all 😊
Super excellent. Thank you. And thank you especially for teaching from first principles, and not assuming I knew, for instance, the properties of film stock. And then thank you once more for not putting on airs, which is apparently difficult to do when working with this topic. :) Highly informative, and beautifully made. I'm not going to thank you again, even though I'm tempted. I do wish you the best of luck in all your ventures. Cheers.
解释得非常好,效果对比做的也非常好,清晰而有说服力。照片拍的也好。支持一下。great work man!
That haze adding tip is brilliant!!
Hope the trip to Lisbon went well! Great video and pack of presets. Greetings from Portugal!
Very enjoyable video. It's interesting to learn a bit about your process, thank you for doing so much work to create a high-quality product
Whelp, Jamie... I just went to edit some photos I shot for black and white and remembered these presets, and decided to swing back and purchase them. You made them look pretty cool in the video. I've never found a pack of presets I use-tend to just create my own starting points and edit manually for the photography I do-but more than curiosity, I just wanted to extend a small "thank you" to you for the fantastic videos you have shared with us here on UA-cam. :)
These photos are amazing! This video is amazing! Your work is amazing! Youre amazing! I bought your first presets i while ago and im loving it! I wish i could buy this one aswell, and i will btw.
I've looked at you wedding work is really amazing. Thanks a lot for you videos .
Love your content! Absolutely enjoying the new style of videos 👍 . But better yet it's the content... congrats...
Very interesting work, Jamie! As a landscape and product photographer using the Fujifilm X-System, I find that Fujifilm's JPEG Film Simulations are more than satisfactory for when I desire simulating various film stocks. However, of course, when maximum image quality, sharpness, dynamic range and detail rendition is required, I usually stick with the RAW image and subsequent processing in Capture One, Affinity Photo, and Photoshop. That said, I find the JPEG renditions do come quite close, especially if the output is only web or digital media, rather than large poster prints. Thanks again!
I immediately bought your presets. Thanks for selling them. Love your channel. :D
Nice video (love the sweet cuts), just grabbed your product and recommendations!
Just bought the LUT versions. These are brilliant. Well done!
The production was most interesting, most creative and fun.
Just bought the presets myself. Thank you so much. Very happy with them already! :)
Jamie, have you ever converted your Lightroom presets to LUTs and tried them out?
Seriously good, full of knowledge wrapped in you! Jamie 👌 class man, class!
Thank you ! The first pack of presets was very useful and I developed a lot of my shooting style !
This second pack might be very cool !
Thank you. Good to know you found my first pack useful.
Wow! Amazing opening! I love it!
Nice that you are still able to develop and scan your films in pro Labs! Where I live (Brazil), those labs just disappeared. I have some Ilford films getting dust. It would be nice to practice again with my Pentax spotmatic F with the 50mm F1.4!
That Cinestill preset is downright BEAUTIFUL!! ❤️
I rarely use presets because I like to tweak things my own way...but I will buying these, they are beautiful! I love the look of film, well done!
Great video, love the presets. Outstanding content as always.
Jamie these videos are incredible. Your content is great and your editing is superb. To top it off, you come across as a really nice guy. Peace✌
These presets are so good, the best you can get for this price! I'm so happy, thank you so much 🙏🏻🤩
Very well done, thank you - I directly bought your pack!
Great stuff! Just got your presets. Thanks a lot!
Omg when you said they were cheap I didn’t think they’d be that cheap! Love these presets so much
Those transitions are so unique!
And yes this production is crazy!! Transitions!!
About to hit 100K, and well deserved Jamie!
I'm a big fan of your work, keep it up!
Thank you.
Loving these preets, Thanks so much!
Yoo that transisiton is buttery smooth!!
some sick transitions here! whoa
The best presets I have ever purchased! Thank you!
Best buy! keep up the good work Jamie!
Omg those transitions at the beginning!
Best presets i've come across! thank you so much
Thanks for the new presets. Nice work 👍🏻
Pretty...pretty amazing. Thanks for your videos, they're top notch
6:05 Wow! The 120 Cinestill 50d was just perfect on that photo. Had to rewind more than once becaues it's so beautiful
Those transitionss goooodddd
Thanks for this two-part-video. I took some films out of the fridge and can't wait to shoot during the weekend ... :-)
I'm here in 2020, got the presets here....love both sets, man! Great tutorial!
That Fujicolor Pro 400 though... Man I miss that look. Great work!
Just discovered you today. Subscribed. You seem to know what you are talking about, very enjoyable and thought out.
Just bought them, so excited to use them :)
Your transitions are amazing
Your editing skills are off the charts, man what an intro :-)
I know nothing about video, and I know I will never make any, but I also know you are an amazing photographer and quite possibly an even better videographer. I shoot my landscapes with Portra 160, I know it’s not the usual choice but I like the greens it gives you. I hope your presets are a massive success for you, you really do deserve it.
Thank you. Portra's great for loads of things.
Ur transitions are insane!
