I felt like you were a friend helping me with this car! It took the weekend and a fresh keg! I owe ya man. Please reach out so I can repay the favor. Thank you so much!!!
thanks for video , i replaced my spark plugs and 2 spark plug coils were wet with oil so I have to replace the valve covers … i ended up puting it back together cause needed my car but i’ll have to redo this again to replace the dumb valve covers … i found your video after I did the job and i followed some forum guide for the manifold torque and dude said 11 ft lbs …… your specs (8 ft lbs is correct hopefully nothing cracked with 11ft lbs but seems to be ok. when I do the valve cover in few weeks i’ll use your specs as their correct. which make was the valve cover you got from rock auto? i’m leaning towards the one made by apex cause it comes with the gasket but not sure if it’s quality
The difference between 8ft lbs & 11lbs is really minimal. Granted, it’s only a plastic manifold & its definitely a bit more sketchy and prone to breaking, but its nothing crazy. So I’d imagine its fine. & if something went wrong and it broke/cracked, you would have definitely heard it when torquing. And as far as the the VC I would say got Apex from Rockauto or just go OEM Nissan.
Something definitely went wrong upon your reassembly. You need to triple check everything. Probably an air issue. Could be an air leak, like a hose not put back on, air intake hose not clamped back up, something not plugged in, MAF not plugged in or plugged in all the way, etc. multiple possibilities. To start, couldn’t hurt to unplug and replug MAF. See where that gets you. Check throttle body and associated harnesses. Make sure everything is plugged in and tight. If you have access to an OBDII scanner that could definitely be useful as well. Even if the CEL isn’t on, it might have a pending/stored code that could steer you in the right direction. OBDII scanner with live data would be even more helpful.
For future reference Z1 Offroad sells alot the replacement hoses in red blue and black and intake cover gasket kit! 🫡 Thank you for the video, I found it to be the best one.

Hey, I did everything step by step the way you did in the video. Now when I give my pathfinder gas it’s shutting off. Can you help with this problem

Don’t you have to relearn the throttle body once you disconnect it 🤔
No sir. Battery was disconnected.
