Btw, the reason you got 2 Boston's was because you renamed the 1st one, then changed the name back. Even if you changed it back to the exact same name, it will replace Boston again on the map, as it considers it "missing name."
Hello Ursa, please consider using the "Better City States (UI)" mod in your videos. I believe it would improve your audience's experience by allowing them to quickly see how many suzerains you have and showing city states grouped by type. Thank you.

I think the leader bonus applied to both the city state quest envoy and to the owls envoy. Both of which are actual envoys whereas the policy card is a modification to the envoy.

Granting trading hubs is okay for some games, if you have an ally Netherlands or Egypt for example. You won't get envoys for owls though,you need to send to a city state for that
I have abused Himiko with Matthias for a early powerful rush, and then use all the city state units with a pillage city. Basically get a city that revolts every 3 turns, pillage the improvements, then repair the improvements, repeat. That gets you lots of gold and faith to get Himiko back or buy other great people. If a city state has a lot of units, you use Himiko to grab the troops, and if doesn't you use gold because that gives more envoys. And if you have a pillage city you can always get gold with your extra units.
I can see why you wanted to give back the cities and applaud your commitment to the strat. In hindsight, maybe just razing them right away rather than keeping them would have been the play. Knock back Indonesia and open up the land for your own expansion. (I think that would have meant no emergency either)

I am baffled at those trade deals Gitarja offered. She declares a surprise war then gets stomped and loses two cities, and her idea of a fair peace deal is getting paid a bunch of stuff because she instigated a surprise war and lost? Then she loses a third and decides getting gold is no longer fair and it's ONLY all your luxuries? Girl you should be paying ME to return these cities I have no obligation to give them back LMAO. I understand why you did it for this game specifically but honestly in any standard game just playing to win a civilization gets wiped off the map. Or if you're funny you settle an awful city in the middle of the ice caps and relegate the loser of the war to suffer with no resources and having to wait like 120 turns or something to even build a monument.

Indeed, but you don't need the lighthouse! Owls gives the trade route just by having a harbour, as long as you have the guilded vault
