My husband and I closed up our home up for about a year and moved in with my mother when she got sick. I am a only child so all the help we had was a little from my aunt. When she passed we had to hire a company to clean the house out and get it sold. When she got sick we had just started remolding out kitchen and we had to just stop everything and go to her. Your own life goes on hold. It is hard but we do what we have to. You take time for you and we will all be waiting. May God bless you and your family.
