At 17:50, you can actually use rain flush to kill Wiley while he is floating away in his escape capsule. However, it soft locks the game and you have to reset. No joke.
the boss weaknesses in MM4 do a full circle, you can start at any boss and follow the circle all the way. Toad man is just one of the easiest bosses to kill with the mega buster. Many people also recommend starting with Pharaoh Man, or Ring Man. I myself used to start with Ring Man, cuz his attack pattern is very strict and easy to counter.
Aside from Mario Bros this was the only other game I owned on the NES. Sometimes mom would rent me another game to play on the weekends, but it was almost always MM4 loaded into my NES
Ah, Toad Man first. A classic decision I often see in many guides as well. Though, I have also seen Pharaoh Man taken on first another popular choice. My boss order: Skull Man Dive Man Drill Man Toad Man (though I can't remember the last time I used his weakness against him, lol) Bright Man Pharaoh Man Ring Man Dust Man IMO, Skull Man's stage is the easiest to get through. If you struggle against Skull Man with only the Mega Buster, you can use E-Tanks which are available for pickup in the stage. Plus, in MM4, if you gave over without using E-Tanks, you retain the E-Tanks you've picked up if you continue so you can slowly farm them in this stage until you have enough to brute force it if you're really struggling against Skull Man. Then once you get past Skull Man, your left over E-tanks will help you if you struggle with the others, and in MM4 you can go back to the stages you've beaten to pick up more E-tanks as needed until you go to Dr. Cossack's castle. Also, doing Dust Man's stage last means you have all the available weapons to help you as needed to get through it. I never really struggled with that stage too much, (even with just the Mega Buster), but there are several parts where the different boss weapons can make it a bit easier for you. Then, for both the Cossack and Wily stages, I don't just the Pharaoh Shot...at all until the final boss to make sure it's fully charged for them. I buster dual Ring Man in the re-fight, and I use Ring Boomerang on the Cossack stage 3 boss. This is also my 2nd favorite game in the series. :)
@11:34 = wouldn't it be much easier to use Drill Man to explode the actual red & silver machine itself? (don't aim for the green dot, but instead explode the drill-bit right on the exact CENTER of the macine) and then afterwards you can jump right up on the platform without harm, and shoot the green-dot at your leisure! that's the way I've always done it anyway :)
Good pattern as Toad is a good start since he can be essentially put in lockdown to stop his Rain Flush. Bright Man and Pharaoh Man are also good starts for buster only. Bright Man can actually be manipulated into never using Flash Stopper as well. He will only use it when his HP hits 16, 8, and 4. So to bypass it, shoot him with one uncharged shot, then you can use Charged Buster since each one does 3 HP damage, or Rain Flush him and he'll never use Flash Stopper. Also on the Toad Man refight, you listed Dive Missile as his weakness when it should be Drill Bomb
My robot master order: Dive > Drill > Toad > Bright > Pharaoh > Ring > Dust > Skull Other Bosses: Cossack #1: Ring Cossack #2: Dust Cossack #3: M-Buster Cossack #4: M-Buster Wily #1: Ring Wily #2: Drill Wily #3-1: M-Buster Wily #3-2: Drill Wily #4: Pharaoh When using the Drill Bombs against the Wily-Bosses, let them explode near them instead of a direct hit.
@youtubeemployeesarestupid3464 well I already got it backwards lol. Got star over with first. Thought the low gravity made his weapon easy to dodge then used it on gravity man lol. I’m not nearly as experienced with the last 3 games as the first 3.
The order you fought the Robot Masters in this game was the one I used. As far as Motharya is concerned, though, I found it easier to used charged Mega Buster shots than Ring Boomerang.
Actually per the Megaman Knowledge Base damage chart for MM4, Cockroach Twins take 2HP damage per Drill Bomb whether you hit with the bomb itself or the explosion. Charged Pharaoh Shot will do 3 HP Damage and if you use the charge trick you get a free shot each time. So Pharaoh shot is definitely better.
@@NeoKenshin Not really. The Drill Bomb creates a lot more damage per direct hit than the Pharaoh Shot. It takes about 4-5HP loss, and the best secondary is the Ring Boomerang. This is in accordance to not only my personal experience, but also from other sites, including IGN
Mine starts off with Drill Man first so that I'll instakill Toad Man with the Drill Bomb Drill Man (I'll start off with Drill Man to get Rush Jet early) Toad Man Bright Man (He Sucks) Pharaoh Man Ring Man Dust Man Skull Man Dive Man (The homing missiles from Dive Man's boss fight and Dive Man's level is rage inducing and is very hard)
Its funny because in the old days mega man 4 was my only NES game for some time, and i've player it so much that dive man become easy to me as the first boss even with burst shot only... Dive man, pharao man, toad man and another one i can't remeber, they became so easy i used to pass them with burst shot only to get some challenge... MM4 was my first mega man game, great game...
I don't understand the logic. Acid rain beats light bulb Flash light beats pharoh(the only understandable one) Pharoh sun beats ring? Ring beats dust Dust beats skull (somewhat understandable) Skull beats submarine Dive homing missiles beat a drill The logic is worse than pokemon here
And what order would YOU do it in? At least it isn't the tiresome earth neutralizes electricity, electricity conduits water/ice, water/ice puts out fires, fire burns the earth tropes that has plagued official games as of late! PS - Acid RAIN SHORT CIRCUITS light bulb. Pharaoh sun MELTS METAL ring. Giant Ring CLOGS dust vacuum. Skull BARRIER'S hard substance protects from SMALL explosives. Dive Missiles (small explosives)=Quick Boomerangs (small and bladed), Drill Bombs (big explosives)=Metal Blade (big blades) if you've ever used a Quick Boomerang on Metal Man.
I do 1.Skull man (I don’t need dust man’s dust crusher) 2.Dive Man 3.Drill Man 4.Dust Man 5.Toad Man 6.Bright Man 7.Pharaoh man 8.Ring Man Out of all 6 Games this is my favorite!
Toad Man is the most obvious "kill me first!" boss in Mega Man history.
Meanwhile, Cut Man is an obvious “Don’t beat me first!” in the series.
... 13:13 when you fight bright man, you can hit him with a buster shot before you use rain flush to prevent him from using his flash stopper attack.

I had the game lock on me. As a kid I was ticked I had to go back through Cossack's castle again.
Toad Man's weakness is actually Drill Bomb. It kills him in just seven shots.

@@gwgux great write up, thank you
The Drill Bomb works best on Toad Man, but you need to save it for the Wily Battle

You are probably correct lol. Never played 4-6 as a kid, so a definite learning experience lol

@@NeoKenshin love your comments. You are a Mega man guru !
Nice.
Personally, I usually do Skull Man first.
Me too!
My robot master order: Dive > Drill > Toad > Bright > Pharaoh > Ring > Dust > Skull

Cossack #2: Dust
Cossack #3: M-Buster
Cossack #4: M-Buster
Wily #1: Ring
Wily #2: Drill
Wily #3-1: M-Buster
Wily #3-2: Drill
Wily #4: Pharaoh

Note: Toad Man’s weakness is Drill Bomb, but in Wily’s fortress, it’s best to save it for the Wily Machine fight after the Robot Master rematch.
Hitting Bright Man with a lemon before starting using his weakness prevents him from using the Flash Stopper and freezing you.
(0:28) Toadman is the first traget i choose.
Megaman will rescue Kalinka faster and defeat Dr. Wily easier.
The order you fought the Robot Masters in this game was the one I used. As far as Motharya is concerned, though, I found it easier to used charged Mega Buster shots than Ring Boomerang.
I prefer using pharaoh shot. Charge, jump and tag him, pause and repeat. A bit more tedious, but much more powerful.
@youtubeemployeesarestupid3464, in my case, it was just timing and/or lining up shots with Ring Boomerang was tricky.
I always went for Dust Man first for some reason.
Did that a few times too. At least dust man stage on here not as brutal as the game boy version.
Ring Man, then Dust Man.
@youtubeemployeesarestupid3464 didn't play the game boy mm3 until last year. Beat the other 4 as a kid long ago. I have all 5 game boy games.
Mine was always skull
I always start with skull man when every time when I play this game
Ring Man has the Ultimate Weapon. 😀
After Toad Man I usual go after Dive Man since he is easy with the buster. Besides Dive Missile is a great weapon to have.
I do that exact boss order
❤😊
As vezes o difícil é chegar no chefe também começo no sapo😂😂😂😂
Faraó resistente
Wily UFO right after Wily Machine 2 use Rain Flush
