I was not expecting this kind of viewership from this video. I'm glad you all enjoyed it! I have some more planned, but always feel free to leave a request in the comments!
"Don't take these too seriously" Then I proceed to hear one of the most awesome theme's for a final boss I've ever come across. You're crazy talented at doing these. Same with the JRPG/Anime Battle Theme.
Shady Cicada This gave me a good idea for a mental destruction attack. It atarts with the bad guy being destroyed, and showing what the victim wants to come after peace comes to the world. Then all of the "memories" that have been created shatter and it zooms out of from the character's head. I'd say it would be about a 7k hp damage dealer. If we're talking about 10k hp heroes. 700 for 1000 hp heroes.
Watched 1 minute, first vid I saw from you. Subbed, liked, watching everything else. I like that it gives the recipe and goes with a kinda rondo form, but evolves at each step. Might pick up guitar again, after not having played for a few years - I feel like I've got something I wanna do with it now :)
Shandeisal1000 speaking of undertale, hopes and dreams / save the world is the best hands down- the use of leitmotif is too much, i can’t tell if toby is lazy, a genius or both :P

i don't even have any background for the fight here, not even a boss, the song gets me in the same places, right in the feels, like having to fight a friend you've known for so long while under the evil influince
I saw it more as an actual bad guy who most likely killed all your friends and now you're facing it, constantly having illusions as if he was your dead friends. Yeah, I don't get it either.
1:52 Battle starts. Character dialogues pop up, they remind themselves why they're doing this and why they'll not give up! 2:00 Villain laughs and tells the heroes they'll fail. Battle menu opens up, you realize that after 100+ hours you're FINALLY facing off against the a-hole who burned down your village and killed your father 2:27 Alternating between buffs, healing and attacking. Things are going well but you don't want to drag this for too long 2:37 "HAHAHA, YOU FOOLS! DO YOU REALLY THINK YOU CAN BEAT ME?! TAKE THIIIISSSS!!!" 2:49 The boss's super move gets everyone down to critical HP. The glass canon-like character died. You messed up. 3:01 Shaking your head while trying to recover. Shit, the main character is poisoned. 3:24 Phase 2 starts. Glass canon character was revived but got KO'd again. You feel like you could've done better during phase 1 4:04 BUT ALAS, the boss misses an attack, giving you time to recover! You rebuff and get back on the offensive! 4:22 CRITICAL HIT! You're attacking more than healing! 4:42 "N-NANI?!?! BAKANA!!! I am the Holy Emperor! How can I be struggling against these brats?!" 5:17 IT'S OOOOON MOTHERF***ER! It him with everything you got, no need to spare your MP anymore! 5:41 "NOOOOOOO!!!! THIS IS IMPOSSSIBLLLEEEEE! I AM THE HOLY EMPERROOOORRRR!!!". Final boss crumbles in a 20 seconds long death animation. You finally did it, you avenged your father and recovered the magic crystal.
And also you remember that you could actually use that super rare elixir that can revive the whole party full HP and MP and ended up not using it. Yeah... I've been there too...
Im writing a song for a videogame concert me and a few other students are putting on and ive been tasked with the boss battle theme. I hope to create something half as good as this. This is so good and so helpful! thank you!

This is the most epic boss theme I have ever heard in my life. It made me feel like I was actually fighting a boss. Makes me appreciate memories of a game I have never played
A genuine question, do you intend to re-use those lietmotifs and make a 'full' song using each? I'd love to see a "How to make villain theme" and "how to make a hero theme", personally.
As a guitarist with too many writer's blocks, this is a great case study for musicians to write a story using music! Great sounding song too. Thanks for the inspiration
Legends tell of a long dead evil, sealed away for millenia, but now it is rising once again. Wield your axe, hero, and shred this monstrosity back into the abyss from whence it came! Looking forward to all the new shit you got in store for us, Shady. Keep on rockin'!

This is like Actually really good One of my fave musical tropes in final boss themes is the two/three phase fight with fitting themes for each, the first two seeming more hopeless and on the villain's side, and the third one being the epic swing back in the heroes' favor. It's a lovely way to help choreograph the emotion of the scenario a bit, and I like that this piece mixes the two ideas.
Straight outta the Mario & Luigi RPG series. I swear these videos are becoming way too good. I was about to type something like "teach me", and then I realized this is a tutorial so... yeah.... uh..... I should probably get to work
Speaking of Bravely Default, did you know? That final boss theme consists of 3 movements, but: - During the boss's 1st phase the 1st movement loops by itself - The 2nd phase extends the loop to include the 2nd movement (notably including a reprise of the game's main / map theme) - Final phase loops the whole song (notably including a reprise of all four heroes' themes AND the victory ditty). Similarly, FF6's iconic final boss theme ("Dancing Mad") has 4 movements, each corresponding to one phase of the fight, but in the game's original versions, when you transitioned from one phase to another the music didn't immediately jump to the next movement, but instead just removed the previous loop marker allowing the composition to transition between movements naturally.
WHOA. I'm actually pretty happy this video brought you so many people. I mean, all the videos so far were great, but it's cool that you're finally getting some of that well deserved attention. Keep it on. Oh and, hi to you all, new people.

I usually spend about 1 hour coming up with riffs, 2-3 hours recording and rewriting riffs. And about 30 minutes editing it and 5-10 minutes to come up with a name for it. And that's just for the lead, rhythm, solos, and bridge guitars. In the end, the song is only about 4-5 minutes long. I just finished recording a song I started over a year ago, and it's still not finished. I actually need new lyrics and drums need to be added.
This is _epic._ I wanna make a boss for this so bad. I don't even know what that boss would be, I just want to create an epic, evil battle. I'm so in love with this! 😭
Trying to find a good remix of the Lufia 2 boss music lead me here. That UA-cam said "SNES JRPG boss music? Gotcha" and immediately went for you really shows how spot on this is.

This should be Smash Ultimate's final destination or final boss theme for spirit mode
what if the final boss that we're all gonna fight is 2018 itself....
Yanda wait, it’s still 2018 isn’t it.
F****************
I'm actually more worried that this is suppossed to be the _final_ boss
@@paulolucero9864 o shit
Maybe theres postgame?
Final boss is Christmas Day. Something bad always happens on that day.
Lost all our items- Yet we made it. Now we have to face 2019!!
I'm Really Feeling it!
This is _epic._ I wanna make a boss for this so bad. I don't even know what that boss would be, I just want to create an epic, evil battle. I'm so in love with this! 😭
That hero leitmotif legit gets me very emotional for characters and a story that do not exist
Take FE Shadows Of Valentia's twilight of the gods
change one note
bam final boss theme
*Morgall lucky crits Alm*
That's fair.
Yeah, Twilight of the Gods is definitely the best final boss theme of all time
But then Tempest of the Fell God plays and your immersion to the song breaks.... Aaand.... *SHIELD DROP*
I love all the fire emblem everywhere, it fills my soul with joy
I had to double check it was the track I was thinking of. It is, and it's incredible
I think that some remastered Xenoblade might just be awesome combined with your skills ^^
Kenshin Hogan finally someone mentions xenoblade
finally
2:25 - 2:36 reminds me of Eclipse of the Moon from Hyrule Warriors
EDIT: Also 5:17
Trying to find a good remix of the Lufia 2 boss music lead me here. That UA-cam said "SNES JRPG boss music? Gotcha" and immediately went for you really shows how spot on this is.
How dare you make me feel pumped for a battle that isn't even real?
Really badass tho
Anyone getting them Bowser's Inside Story vibes?
No, but I am getting other vibes from your pfp ;)
Im 8 months late but i thought this was in the final for half a second
I’m a tad late but yessssss
@@MamaTrixxieAsmr ayy I'm late to reply lol but hey :p
That sounded like the cloud kingdom battle in odyssey
3:14 - that was inspired by Jenova theme! (Along with the Birth of a God) Am I right? I mean, it's gotta be. :D
HHAHAHA THAT TRUUUU
Final Boss Quotes
M.Bison: Fear my Psycho Power!
Jasper: Rose Quartz...time to die!
Geese: You cannot escape from death.
Wesker: 7 minutes. 7 minutes is all I can spare to play with you.
Orphan of Kos: REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
Gwyn Lord of Cinder: *Just jumps at you with a flaming sword*
Dr. Badtimes tonight, Gehrman joins the hunt
I thought of Lu Bu
i think the same thing.
I like how it still gives you goosebumps (like most final boss themes) even though you aren't playing a game
A Four minute track!? I'm impressed by the length of this considering this was all behind one person. Very great job
I kinda get zelda vibes specifically hyrule warriors
you and that shaved head guy need to collaborate on a video game OST haha
SethEverman
Its kinda sound more like a Shin Megami Tensei Persona Boss Fight
"Kinda?"
The arcana is the means by which all is revealed!!!
@@royalepirate6083 Welcome to the cathedral of shadows, where demons gather.
"an intro that says 'My mother is an alien and I'm crazy.'" nice FF7 reference and nice work! this is a bop!
I... I can't even. This is just so good. I could see every phase of the fight in my head.
2:35 Hope: aight imma head out now
Twilight of the Gods would be a great comeback to video game remixes
Eric Hagar You mean this perfect piece of music from Shadows of Valentia ?
Feels like fight Anime ost
just the examples in the beginning sound AMAZING
This song gives me chills every time I hear because it is so epic
