CRAZY DISCOVERY WHILE FLY FISHING!!!! (Nantahala River)

- What on Earth did we find while fly fishing??? We've never seen something like this before and not sure if we will again!
Part 2 of fly fishing the Nantahala River in western NC - We got back out on the river for our 2nd day fly fishing for trout on the Nantahala. Things started pretty slow, but got better as the day went on with plenty of trout fishing action to cap things off. Watch until the VERY END to see what we discovered as well as what we ended up catching!

Fly fishing is not in my bag of tricks but trout fishing is so much fun.They are super strong and give awesome fight.
They really hit different
I bubble fish with flies on this river almost every evening after work. This has been my best year ever trout fishing there. Catching a couple over 20in too right before it gets completely dark

I got my fly rod the other day and went out 2 times since. I hooked a nice brownie on an egg on my 3rd ever cast but it got off. Today I went out, but nothing hit. It might have been the cold because it got down to 19 degrees last night and it didn’t go above freezing today. One of my buddies caught a nice 19 inch rainbow on a streamer though

I had 12 new video notifications on UA-cam but I only wanted to watch 1. SLAB TIME!!!! As usual, love it guys. I’m dying here in Michigan. My little 500 acre lake has a thin sheet of ice over it so I can’t fish and it’s killing me. You can only organize your tackle so many times and I’m running out of things to do. Maybe I need a vacation down there. I will be watching for my next fix. Take care

This was a crazy fun vid. I can't believe that one ate while you're sitting around it like a campfire. Especially when the dude in the bright orange shirt is looming over it. You can actually see the reflection of his sleeves on the water when you hook it. I need to hook you bros up with some custom flies. Have you rolled over any of the rocks in the place to see what kind of bugs are around when you're there?
We have, found a lot of stoneflies under rocks. but it’s difficult to know that’s exactly what they want, some would chase streamers, some were rising on bugs, and some had lockjaw. I’m sure there’s some specific presentations we were missing that would’ve been more effective

Nantahala River Lodge. An absolutely amazing place to stay. 10/10 highly recommend.
You might not want to wear blaze orange. Fish can see.
