Im a lance main and my brother is a hunting horn main. Our uncommon combo has conquered all the monsters, many times.
I wasn't sure or the AG lanes but now I plan to build it now. And yes I'm a lance mane and my favorite lanes is the sabertooth.
People who play hunting horns are like an albino tiger, they're rare, dangerous, and downright gorgeous

seriously the lance is the ONLY weapon i see a speedrun for and think i can do that too it feels so fucking good getting those perfectly timed blocks for level 3 offensive guard for the damage boost and getting those counter claws off while walking away like a untouched god, its by far my best weapon type
There is beauty in simplicity.
I quite like that he gets tripped after taking enough damage on his glowing head or Tail (Bazel is bae or is awesome personally so...👍)

At around 1:10 when Bazel roars and she powerblocks it, is that a counterattack out of that stance or a regular lance thrust?
It's a power guard: when holding counter-thrust you tap x to go into this stance, In this stance you can thrust in any direction at anytime so it's technically not a counter. I'm assuming Rhena went into power guard so that she can block the roar and wait for bazels head to re-position before thrusting. If it were a regular counter she would have attacked after the roar then miss.

How come when he counter clawed at 4:30, he attacked the face a bunch of times and bazel flinched? Mine always just sticks the lance to the face?

It might be a counter thrust, usually can trigger it mid combo not from stand still

For the standard attack into the run, is it better than just doing a forwards or side hop and continuing attacking?
Quiet Wyatt Depends on the situation, most of the times yes. But if you’re standing on a downward slope, hops are much better so that you won’t ruin your positioning.
Charging gives you more dps overall. As Isaac said, slopes are your enemy, so in that case a counter or a hop is best to continue the combo.
