when in the past, when a lady drop something, the man takes it and give it to the lady, because it's hard to do squats for the ladies who are wearing corset.
As a corset wearer, squatting isn't an issue, it's leaning over, the corset does nothing to the leg movement. Instead, bending over, OH DAMN. You have no back movement outside of perfectly straight. You drop something and don't have someone to pick it up for you, you squat or cry.
@@AthenaBaucum This is true that it is is hard to bend over but not impossible. If you have a busk down the front then it is almost impossible to bend over straight, but if there is just boning and no busk the bones will allow some bending movement as there needs to be that movement to let the ribcage move and breathe.
@@AthenaBaucum I was a corset wearer when I was younger and then I got a knee injury in my late 20's that makes squatting a lot harder. Just thinking about trying to retrieve a dropped item while wearing a corset now makes me cringe.

I'd like to see a sequel with them wearing corsets made for men rather than women. It might effect the comfort.
Yeah! Especially since waist position really matters. I kept wondering if they were wearing the corset with the waist where their waists are, or higher, where a woman's waist would be. If they were wearing them high then the discomfort and difficulty breathing makes perfect sense, and if they were wearing them lower, then the difficulty sitting and "digging into my groin" as I believe Ned said, make sense.
Although a woman’s natural waist is high, the skeletal waist is where a corset should be worn regardless of gender or sex, and the only difference between men and women’s corsets are the hip spring as men generally have narrow hips relative to their ribs compared to women.
A professional brought them styles with their own measurements... they were miserable because they tightened them almost closed right away, everyone knows it takes months for muscles to bend to the corsets shape to be comfortable.

Not the worst corset video out there though, they had experts and at least for the first part were using well made corsets and only lacing down a few inches. Even though they asked for a crash course they went about this fairly well, except for wearing corsets on bare skin, never do that, and maybe wearing them for a bit long since they're so inexperienced.

I wear a corset daily and it really helps my back. 6 years of upper back pain is reduced by 70% or 80%. I've always been thick waisted, too and now my waist is one of my best features

@@carnuatuspeople who have scoliosis sometimes actually wear a special medical corset because it helps keep your spine aligned and supported! I recommend looking up Bernadette Banner, she has a video wear she talks about wearing a medical corset for her scoliosis.

I think they probably should have worn their corsets with a chemise underneath. That would both protect the corset from their skin oils (so they don’t have to wash it as often and the fabric will last longer), and also protect their skin from friction caused by the corset rubbing against it and wick away moisture from sweat (making it more comfortable).
I don't think the lady explained that to them very well.

Just a side note, corsets should not be painful! If they are painful, they are worn incorrectly. 1) You should never wear a corset to it’s most fitted position immediately. You should go fitting it as time goes by, to get a sense of the pressure. 2) This is the most important point, you should NEVER wear the corset on its own. Maybe for very short periods of time, but if you wear a corset without an undergarment is going to create rashes and be extremely uncomfortable. Think about it, you’d never wear jeans without underwear.
Corsets are great for posture and support, please don’t be discourage to try them!
