Hello Ioana, just wanted you to know I so appreciate your musical gift to me. Your touch to the instrument, smoothness, your preparedness of the left hand before you play a string, having silences (your being] is beauty of your smoothness, phrasing, tone!!!! I've listened to your recording slowed down and get the same beauty as well getting the best lesson to playing guitar!! Your smoothness is there and I get it! Thank you so much.Blessings-Hugs from Orange County Ca.Jim
Hi Iona, I just came across this video. I am adding this into my list of songs to get a grip on in a classical way. Such a beautiful old song and you are such an inspiration for me to try to get a handle on it. Such precision coupled with such feeling, love it. Thank you so much, Dave in the Adirondacks
Any borrows serenity and sweetness, your interpretation is wonderful and makes me dream; I would like to play the guitar as well as you! Congratulations Madam, I admire you. Guy
Sheet music direct.com it’s in the key of G. It’s simple, sweet, romantic and very soothing to play. Watch outlander on stars. It is the best show on t.v. We watch one episode per night during this Covid stuff. It is a must watch series. Enjoy.
If I understand your question correctly, it's a matter of having your fingers rounded enough so palm does not touch the first string when you play on the 5th or 6th etc. Also position of the neck not too far from left sholder helps with this. The better your extension between your fingers is, the better you will be able to round them.
Dae Dalus Sing me a song of a lad that is gone, Say, could that lad be I? Merry of soul he sailed on a day Over the sea to Skye.Mull was astern, Rùm on the port, Eigg on the starboard bow; Glory of youth glowed in his soul; Where is that glory now?Give me again all that was there, Give me the sun that shone! Give me the eyes, give me the soul, Give me the lad that's gone!Billow and breeze, islands and seas, Mountains of rain and sun, All that was good, all that was fair, All that was me is gone.
This is so beautiful.... Thank you
Really enjoyed this. Listening again. You have a very rich tone!

How do you stop the palm of your left hand muting the high e string?
