When I read the comments, I wondered if people actually listened before they commented. Did I say Allen was dead? I was literally saying maybe they’re altering the story like they’ve done with other characters, so they change Thaedus 🤦♂️
You're missing the point, and turning off life support will kill you, he was doing it because he knew if he killed Allen he would come back stronger and your saying he's trying to betray the coalition, we all know Allen is dead but most people don't know he's coming back
One question I have as someone who doesn’t care about spoilers and didn’t read the comic, why didn’t he turn the life support off in the comic if he wanted Allen dead in both? Seems easier then whatever he did AND why tell Allen of the “mole” just to kill him 5 minutes later
Obviously it was to justify the power boost that Allen gets later on. And to throw a red herring to make viewers think that Thadeus is evil and the twist reveal that would come with a still living Allen would be more impactful
Imo it makes sense. Having the "antagonist" being voiced by a person who is usually associated with a hero leads more people to not suspect him of anything bad. Another example of that is Chris Evans in Knives Out
@@jaden4551 yes it is, even if the damage is minuscule compared to others his body remembers and builds up resistance and eventually invulnerability to said attack.
Well Allen can get exponentially stronger and it would be goofy if Thaedus wanted to kill him for searching for a Viltrum sympathizer when he told him to search for one
Thaddeus does not betray the coalition, but only after recruiting Invincible and Omni Man do they take the fight to the viltrumites. In the comics Allen has a healing factor that not only helps him recover but also makes him stronger than he was before, he’s basically a saiyan. The more severe the damage, the stronger he gets when he recovers. I believe Thaddeus knows this and is trying to make Allen’s situation worse so he can become stronger, but he’s still sorry that he has to hurt his friend to accomplish this.

He didn't kill him, he takes allen to his lab and experiments on him to give him powers, and he said forgive me allen because he feels responsible for what happened to him

Another that others suggest he’s try to push him to the edge to grow stronger but I’m not so sure if Thadeus is aware of Allen power boosts
As shown in the last episode, Thaedus knows the history of the Unopans, he knows Allen is the only successful case from the breeding camps, and he knows how adaptable Allen is. He was apologizing to Allen after "pulling the plug" because of what he's about to put him through (a very near death experience), but he knows that he was going to survive and that this would be a unique opportunity to greatly increase Allen's powers.
Ok but Allen doesn’t know he’s one? Your whole premise is stupid lol. More likely it’s that he knows bringing Allen close to death will make Allen even stronger but the struggle to come back will be insane (similar to the comics)
How could a comic reader believe this lmao. That makes literally no sense. Allen doesn’t know he’s a viltrumite. He only did that so that Allen could get stronger from it
This is stupid. He turned off the life support cause Allen gets stronger after taking a beating. The life support was probably holding him back. Allen is good at keeping secrets so he would never tell the others about the leader.
Actually, I’m pretty sure the reason why he did that is because Allen is a genetic experiment created to be the perfect soldier to fight Viltrimites. And like them, the more heavy damage he recovers from the stronger he gets. And just like Viltrimites, recovering from a near death state like this will give him a serious power boost if he makes it. Which we know he will.
I thought that Thaedus knew about Allen’s zenkai boosts in the TV version so he turned it off to exploit them, making him get stronger. At least strong enough to square up against Viltrumites. You know, ‘Unopan Will of Survival’ and all that.
Sorry but, you’re just pointing out what the show intended us to think. It’s more like: simulating Alan’s death so it can be spread out to the “spy”, also, Alan gets stronger every time he gets hurt badly. He’s gonna be a beast, I sure hope.. if Prime wants it too ofc Edit: by turning off the machine, his survival instincts might trigger faster I assume
I hadn't read the comics so I didn't know Allen could recover from such a beating on his own, I just assumed that the guy was the viltrumite mole they were talking about.
Interesting. My theory is that he theorizes that a near-death experience will give Allen a zenkai boost of power! As such, turning off life support will serve as a catalyst, kinda like what happens to Atom Eve.
I was watching this with my brother, who doesn't know about any of this, and he was like woooah wtf? And I think Thaedus did it because of Allen's body style, he gets stronger when he recovers so he'll get stronger without life support.
I’m pretty sure you’re wrong guy. Allen gets stronger the more he dies or whatever, so if he’s kept alive on life support that doesn’t activate. So Thaddeus did it so Allen can get stronger. That’s also why Allen smurked and didn’t fight back

Your theory makes no sense. Allen doesn't know Thaedus is a Viltrumite, so whether he survives or not is irrelevant. But neither does people's idea that he knows Allen will become stronger. Allen is completely unique as a Unopan. He's never been this severely hurt. So how would Thaedus know he will get stronger? Just a lot of flawed reasoning, but we'll find out soon enough.
I think he’s abusing Allen’s zenkai, being he’s the one that made the coalition on top of being a viltrumite himself. He might’ve known of Allen’s ability already (not wanting to use it cause he’d be torturing Allen for power) but now sees it as an opportunity especially since mark and his father are the only possible options to fighting the VE
If you read the comics you'd know he is well aware that when Allen is "dies" he gets a power boost. He did that to hasten the process. He needs Allen stronger and fast. They aren't changing the story all that much so I don't know why you think he's a villain all off a sudden. That would change the course of the story completely.
Bruh why are there people upset saying that Sage said “Allen was dead?” You guys good? Or you just only listen to a second of the video to write a angry comment XD
I think the machine will help him recover meaning he’ll just return to his previous state before the battle. Maybe Thaedus knows he gets a big boost in power from traumatic injuries, so he turns off the healing machine to make Allen’s body recover by itself thus making Allen get a boost.
I always thought the whole "they can't know I'm a Viltrumite" dilemma to he kind of dumb. What do they really think he is? So far as we know, the only races that we know of that look like him are Earthlings and Viltrumites. Do they think he's a human? If not, then that pretty much narrows it down. The drama with that seems a bit forced to me.
A comic reader, got the false memory that Thaedus was a traitor who only betrayed Viltrum because he thought they were too weak and needed a strong foe(Coalition) as well as a purge(Scourge Virus)
Thaedus is a well know person, the viltrumites have to know how he looks, and so far they don't recognize him (that's why he use a beard). I thing the theory of him doing it to make Allen stronger makes more sense. Also he may fake Allen's death to hide and help him safely recover. News about him being alive can reach the enemy (remember there is a mole), right now Allen is an easy target for any assassin.
SPOILERS FOR THE COMIC: I think it’s cause he somehow knows of Allen’s ability to come back from the dead stronger than he was before, and immune to his previous cause of death, Even before Allen himself knows
I think Thaddeus probably turned off the life support to make it look like Allen died and so he could transfer Allen to a more secret and secured location for him to heal. Thaddeus knows that there is a mole and if the Viltrumites know Allen survived, they might come back to finish the job.
Or not could be that I think theadus is onmimams father and he knows mark is his grandson and he could be trying to protect mark or he knows about Allen's physiology making him stronger so he could be trying to speed up allens recovery by forcing his life to be in danger speeding up his recovery by endangering his life
Thaedus’ situation is really funny to me, because I never read the comics but as soon as I saw him in the show I thought “oh well he’s a viltrumite, that’s why he’s spearheading the group against them”
I think it’s bc Allen gets stronger the most damage he takes but in the show it will be from the more he recovers and the more he has to do himself without aid the stronger he gets. THEADUS then apologized bc he knows it’s risky and will cause Allen a lot of work but is better for the greater good.
Maybe it’s cause he knows Allen’s body adapts to near death experiences so if he puts Allen’s body through a worse even harder journey to recovery it will become better so maybe he’s apologetic because he knows he’s about to put Allen through hell but he knows it will better him ( also maybe if he’s nursed back to health he won’t adapt at all so he needs his life support off)
Meh, that still doesn’t make sense considering Allen it’s fine with invincible so why wouldn’t he be fine with another? He plays such a huge part in the comics so this is just either lazy writing or Allen is alive but he’s faking he’s death and is sorry he’s girlfriend will think he’s dead
He shuts it off because he knows of what Allen is. He gets stronger after fight and healing. So by forcing him to work harder to heal himself, he will come back stronger.
Perhaps he's doing this because he knows Alan can heal from the immense damage and death so that's why he likely killed him in my opinion I don't know enough about this characters I'm really trying not to spoil more of the things that have already been for me because I have noticed this season is tapping into story's I probably wish I hadn't have looked into now😂
I thought it was because he was aware of allens ability but in order for it to work he needs to recover unassisted without life support which is very painful but allows to to become stronger.
I thought it was because Thaddeus is trying to jump starts Allen’s evolution, seeing as how he has no ties with any of the villtrumites, but hey whatever you say, gang
I mean if they just kill of Allen that will be very dumb cause he is just perfect in the comics and i would think he's just gonna get bigger and maybe a power were his heart never stops till he's dead

I just can't believe optimus would do such a dirty move
I think Thaddeus probably turned off the life support to make it look like Allen died and so he could transfer Allen to a more secret and secured location for him to heal. Thaddeus knows that there is a mole and if the Viltrumites know Allen survived, they might come back to finish the job.
He didn't kill Allen. He did it so Allen could get stronger. That's what his super power is. He's like Goku and gets stronger after every fight
isn't the reason he did that is so Allen can become stronger? cuz y'know, by sending him in a near death experience to buff him up?
I kinda thought it was because thaedus was gambling that Allen would evolve if he could naturally overcome his injuries but I like your take on it too
Or not could be that I think theadus is onmimams father and he knows mark is his grandson and he could be trying to protect mark or he knows about Allen's physiology making him stronger so he could be trying to speed up allens recovery by forcing his life to be in danger speeding up his recovery by endangering his life
Thaedus’ situation is really funny to me, because I never read the comics but as soon as I saw him in the show I thought “oh well he’s a viltrumite, that’s why he’s spearheading the group against them”
Allen's gf is the spy.
Meanwhile Optimus prime over here turned off the life support, to bring out the true power in Allen.
I think it’s bc Allen gets stronger the most damage he takes but in the show it will be from the more he recovers and the more he has to do himself without aid the stronger he gets. THEADUS then apologized bc he knows it’s risky and will cause Allen a lot of work but is better for the greater good.
Maybe it’s cause he knows Allen’s body adapts to near death experiences so if he puts Allen’s body through a worse even harder journey to recovery it will become better so maybe he’s apologetic because he knows he’s about to put Allen through hell but he knows it will better him ( also maybe if he’s nursed back to health he won’t adapt at all so he needs his life support off)
Bro's trying to hide like a gay congressman 💀
Really it’s a great way to reveal Allen becoming stronger after his near death experience.
I think it’s so make him stronger.
His body will fight to stay alive.
Completely incorrect. He did it intentionally to get Allen to recover stronger than ever. Thaedus isn't evil.
Yeah I was like, but isn’t Allen supposed to live through this?
