We built a few log trailers. And used 3/8" plate on those. Had one kingpin brake the welds. Kingpin could move around. But we had put a 6" C channel over the pin. And crosses from it, that let me get it home. Then cut it all out and redo it. Logging crew messed it up. As they would load our trailers and have them sitting there loaded. The guy hit the pin at times 5 MPH. He messed up a few. Looks like that plate well had been holding a lot of water over the years. Will rot one out fast for sure. Good luck and enjoy the cool weather. Sure nice when doing all the welding. When its not 110 degrees.
I don't know, Google trailer repair shops in your area, someone should be able to help you or point you in the right direction. Might also check with truck and trailer dealers they might can recommend someone.

How long it takes to change the kin pin? I was just charged around $350.00 😬
Depends on the trailer type some are bolted in and some are welded in.
How much did this job cost if you don't mind?
Wast time why you remove the wood from the tap ?
Hey man! Can’t wait. #teamnogrease
Hi chase, how can I get in touch?
I feel like I need a tetanus shot just looking at all that jagged, rusty metal!
