The anime should *not* be used as evidence for like...anything? It's kinda hilarious that you had to argue that, actually. Brock straight up says that water is weak to fire in the anime. It's fun, but not a serious source of information.
They also need to add R/B/Y to the gameboy catalog and let it connect to Stadium. This game is straight up unfair sometimes with only rentals. Doable? Yes, but is it even worth that much of a struggle using pokemon you may not even like? I would love to run through it with a version of my Kanto team that I've built back up.

I think Stadium on the Switch does need some kind of customization for Pokemon. I could beat these gyms with my actual team with their actual moves, but some of these moveset choices are just bizarre
