100%. I heard the story from the girl up there too who wrote about what happened on Instagram and how she practically saw people dying on the floor in front of her and had to do something. It's just heartbreaking how she and the other boy were just ignored despite the fact they were trying to be heroic.

Camera man is mic’d up. Most of the coordinators could hear what the guy and girl were saying through it, so he didn’t really have to, but he still should’ve have made sure they knew.

@@Crozzzbonez0 thats not how 2 way radios work. if there was a constant incoming stream from all devices, you wouldnt hear anything but chaos. only one device can speak on the signal at a time. if someones talking and you need to have a conversation with someone else, you need to go to another channel. all staff arent on some secret fbi surveillance system. theyre not wired. but yes, he probably could have grabbed his radio and communicated this. depending on where he is though, he may not have been heard, but looking at his reaction says that he may just have not actually been listening to anything these kids were saying to him. he's operating a camera, and has to be in the moment.

Yes, you can see a mic on his headset...but it will not be active. For camera operators and follow-spot operators their microphones are not on during performance because they pick up too much crowd and music. The headsets are "listen only" for direction instructions. That's just the way it has always been done.

Actually I blame the people back stage who made fun of it, Travis Scott barely knew what was happening and he was barely informed about what was happening. He could’ve done much better to prevent things like this happening before the concert even begins.

I know. Especially at such a young age. It’s easy to tell how good of a person he is, and I really hope he gets some psychological treatment going forward. No one should have to experience something so horrible that could have easily been avoided with enough thoughtful preparation.

it was so bad. i was with older friends 15 and 18. i got pushed down under everyone, i couldnt breath, neither could my friends. they where trying to pull me out. once i got up nothing changed. it was more packed once i got up. people died in front of me. there was bodys behind where he was preforming. it was hell.

He has filled in ear buds, all he can hear is music, and even when the music is off he can't hear shit so he has to interpret things based off what he sees, which is also hard because of how many people are in the crowd, and all the lights going around. Im not completely trying to defend him, but he has to definitely be responsible for some of the shit that went down. Up on the stage is way different than he in the crowd.

WOW @ all the commenters who act as if they would've stopped the show immediately if they were in the position of the cameraman. Camera operators are very focused on what's going on in FRONT of them. All this guy knows in the moment is that two screaming people popped up behind him, with no idea of why they did so. He's wearing headphones so he's not going to be able to hear them clearly. His initial conclusion is that they were two troublemakers, which isn't unreasonable considering that people do stupid things at concerts all the time. He might even have thought that they were high on drugs, which again isn't unreasonable at a concert. Anyway, I'm not saying these kids were making trouble, just that it would be easy to interpret their actions as such. Cut the guy a break for not immediately understanding the scope of what was going on.

I'm starting to feel like there were two different groups there, one who felt everything was way out of control and wanted the whole concert to end so they could sort out the demonic mess and save lives; then there was the other group which included Travis, the organizers, and crowd members who seemed to go along with the disaster that was happening before their eyes as if that's how things should be. This young man and the girl were extremely brave and fought for what was right. So many people ignored the signs and the warnings and took it way too far, there will be a lot of answering to do.

Most of the public were teens, and the waves were so strong people were obliged to go along not to get crushed.
The people supposed to control the crowd did jack shit and Travis saw it happening.
It’s entirely possible to stop the music and the show and it happens a lot where I live when the flow get dangerous.
Especially when there’s a mf body 15 meters away.
Such overwhelming movement and tragic death wouldn’t have happened if the organizator, artist and the staff had planned this out correctly and if the security staff would have brought up the information and stopped the music.

Cried the first time he spoke about his story, and I continue to feel his pain the second time as well. I pray for the families. My heart truly breaks for them.. Ayden you did your best, along with the amazing young women. There is this beautiful saying, that says "do good and throw it in the ocean." You did good.. and I hope it comes back to you and all those heroes who weren't caught on camera.

The cameraman’s wife said that he did call for help and that’s why two medics showed up soon after. The girl in the video confirmed it on her Instagram.
The camerman doesn't have the power to stop the show. All he can do is call for help and document what is happening. If he did those two things that is all he could do. By the cameramen recording their is video evidence that can be used to determine exactly what happened and who is at fault. Those videos are important evidence.

I wonder if the cameraman is having trouble with his neighbors now that they know he's a middle-aged man who turned his back on 2 kids pleading with him to help save his friend, who died. Surely people in his neighborhood know what he did. He didn't even look nice when he turned the 2 kids down, even threatening to throw the girl off the stage if she didn't leave. He could try to call his coordinator just based on two kids shouting at him "stop the concert" and try to convince him to reach out to security etc, but come on, think realistic.
If he infact, despite all of his previous experiences, suddenly trusted the shouts of two random kids and convinced the guy above him to make calls to the next guy above, he would've been a hero. But just because he wasn't crazy enough to do that, he is not a villain. You "cancel-people" are crazy! That guy is just a poor fella. What do you gain from bashing him for just doing his job?

How do you see mutiple EMT's in the crowd, hear hundreds of fans chanting to stop the show, see people trying to get on stage to stop the show, YET you continue the show and act surprised afterwards??

Seeing multiple EMTS isn't a red flag as after all it's a festival and people pass out. That's the medics job to take care of that and not the performer. All it took was someone (HPD or security) to notify the management go on stage to notify Travis of what was going on.
