The only thing missing from his social media apology was an actual apology.
Yeah, but he put his hand on his head, multiple times. That should be enough right???
I hope he never comes back from this. I don't even know his music or who he is, but I can't stand him. I always thought he was a country singer when I heard his name.
Yep,
@@lewasil literally same lol. But nah he’s just counting the Bens he made from the concert. So sickening
About what I expected from a sociopath and complete narcissist, as this dude is known to be.
Of course his apology is not genuine he is not responsible for all those people rushing the stage killing people the people in the crowd are responsible and the people who let them in are responsible
The first red flag was when ppl started charging/running past the metal detectors and gates to enter like wild animals.
Yup!! Ppl were already almost crushed at 11am screaming for help!
This happens at a lot of his concerts. It's sort of what they are known for.
Ok that happens aaaall the time in this kind of concerts. This festivals have always a piece of danger, but this was another level.
But this happened at edc as well. This isn’t news that people charge in.
@@bookins101 Not quite! EDC is WAYYY more organized than this and everyone is 21+ and def doesnt act like this
I’ve been to tons of metal concerts, where people are labeled as dangerous all the time, and we have an unwritten rule of moshing. “You see a man/woman go down get them back up; if it’s bad tell the band.” Every time I’ve been at a metal concert where people were getting hurt or robbed or groped, the band stopped the concert until it was taken care of. They wouldn’t just ignore their fans.
You got groped and robbed?
@@DUNGSTA These guys are animals
So true
you shouldnt be surprised....rappers only care about themselves
Rap music for the most part promotes a dangerous, ignorant lifestyle. Not surprised this happened.
I went to a tool concert that got out of control, and the lead singer immediately stopped the show and chewed us out... then said they'd leave if the crowd wouldn't calm down. The crowd continued acting crazy, so they actually shut the concert down and left. Tool has more respect for humanity than Travis Scott... I'm a little surprised by that! All Travis had to do was say, STOP or I'm gonna stop and they all would have obeyed.
Exactly. TS either doesn't care or isn't smart enough to take control of his own show. It's pretty pathetic. Prayers for all 🙏🙏
Case and point, well said
Ouch, why wouldn't Tool have respect for humanity ?
I’m not Christian. But I believe this was satanic concert and was a blood sacrifice.
He said he wanted to see raging and tried to make them push people back even more to form a "mosh pit" I really hope this doesn't get swept under the rug. If you are a performer at this level and you can't tell when there is severe overcrowding, you probably shouldn't be at this level. But I think they knew.
I almost cried for the girl who was holding hands with a stranger thinking she was going to die. I feel so bad for all of them, what an awful awful event.
I know. That part hit me hard to.
2 people dying is tragic..10-11 with 300+ hurt is insane
Today, there is absolutely NOTHING in hip-hop that benefits any society that claims to love their youth (pants hanging off the butt, drug culture, prostitution etc). Rap is EVOLVING (or has Evolved) into the DESTRUCTION of America's youth. The lyrics combined with the demonology, WHY ARE WE SURPRISED THAT SOME PEOPLE DIED and some 300 or more got injured??? Sad thing is, they'll BE BACK for his next concert???
@@hassanmuhammad2799 Spot on, man. I feel the same way.
@@hassanmuhammad2799 this isn’t a hip hop issue, you can go to hip hop concerts and come back alive. If anything this is FESTIVAL CULTURE. Barely being given anything to eat, drink or appropriate bathrooms and people are outside all day. Travis encouraging his fans to push their way to the front of the stage is also a Travis thing, not a hip hop thing. Don’t point your blame to hip hop. Travis doesn’t represent hip hop culture. This is a problem with going to festivals and security, the artist, and the festival agency not doing its job.

@@Naturebeautifaul That got me T_T

I don't get how or why that cameraman didn't do something. He's a backstage person, almost certainly had his phone on him, would have had a contact to SOMEONE backstage, who could call someone until they reached someone who could shut this down. Even if Travis Scott couldn't hear the crowd and was foolish enough to continue with both an ambulance and someone being carried out on a stretcher, there was GROSS negligence happening backstage. SOMEONE had access to be able to just walk on stage and tell Travis to shut it down, if not send him a message via his earpiece thing. There are many many security people being notified later on, the POLICE knew 45mins before this ended FFS! How no one marched in there and shut it down is beyond me.
We live in a "not my problem" culture.
In the early 90's, the same thing happened to me on a much smaller scale at a smaller venue.
I was on crutches as I'm disabled. I was knocked off my crutches as those in the back surged toward the stage. My friend didn't know I was on the ground. People began tripping over me and stepping on me. Every time I attempted to get up, I was knocked down again. The only that saved my life, was that I grabbed the leg of a security guard hired for the venue.

Long before Travis’s set began, the people in charge of the festival were well aware that the security gates were stormed beyond capacity by a literal stampede-a serious safety hazard that Travis himself has a pattern of encouraging in previous concerts.
Of course Travis didn’t expect a fatal breakdown in crowd safety would ever happen, because crowd safety isn’t something he cares to think about. There’s plenty of blame to go around between the festival organizers, concert directors, and even Houston Police leadership. But the ones most responsible for letting this happen in the first place were the performer and the festival owner…oh wait, Travis Scott was both..
He encourages this behavior at all of his shows. The promo video for AW2021 used footage of ppl bum-rushing through security at AW2019.
That's what I was thinking to, at the end of the day it looked like nobody wanted an Astro World of angry young people blaming the organization they represent to do the right thing.

Reminder for anyone in a tight location that their chest may be compressed: NEVER EVER EVER REMOVE YOUR ARMS FROM YOUR RIBCAGE. Your arms and shoulders kind of protect you from getting crushed and raising your hands removes that protection. I was on a carnival ride recently and my teenage daughter was on it with me the ride was so fast that her body was pushing into mine. I was ok until I wanted to raise my arms and she slid into my ribcage and I couldn't breathe almost passing out trying to move her off of my ribs which I couldn't. Next rides was even faster but when she slid into me with my arms down I still could breathe and protect my lungs with my arms. I bet the people that was screaming for help was the ones with their ribcage exposed cause their arms are stuck up.

Sickening...I pray the eyes of your understanding be opened
I don't understand how something like this can happen in the world today
Truly heartbreaking. The fact that the concert continued for 40 minutes after a major incident was declared, there needs to be a major inquest and investigation in this awful event.
Was the major incident announced amongst the crowd? Through the speaker? Was Travis told directly what had happened? Very poor communication at this comcert
Travis cried for the camera at the end of the concert in one breath, then went out to party with friends in the next breath.
Eh it really wasn't his responsibility for the events that unfolded. This really seems to be on the venue for not properly ensuring the safety of event goers.
Just because he's famous doesn't mean he's a good person

Same as people going to live sporting events or the opera. It is being part of the action. This was WAY too over packed to obviously be any fun.
@@Boristheborat Houston has no attendance restrictions on festival type outdoor events. So legally speaking they could've sold 20 million tickets even though the concert area was only a certain size. Ridiculous, no common sense from promoters or the city.
I was asking the same thing this morning
@@Boristheborat the difference is and the point the other dude was making is when you’re at a sporting event of other large venue where everyone has assigned seats this wouldn’t happen
@@andrewtouchette6455 Exactly what I was thinking. I've been to over 20 classic Rock concerts and all have been in stadiums with assigned seats. The only negative aspect was trying to get out of the parking lots... sometimes 3 hrs and drunk Arseholes causing road rage.
I hope no one that suffers from asthma was at this place 😫 what a nightmare!
it’s sad that people idolize a man so much they will never meet in their life
Travis absolutely encouraged this. He said "let's rage make the ground shake." He has a history of inciting riots and in 2017 a man was left paralyzed at a show after Travis shouted at people to jump off a balcony and this guy ended up pushed off

The people standing on the ambulance should have been arrested.
no, people who directed the ambulance through the crowd instead of setting up proper routes for it to use should be arrested! Total management issue!
They found the blonde haired guy on twitter, I think they are trying to sue him.
It’’s disrespectful and wrong to have been dancing on an ambulance, but if they just went up there to get air that would have made sense given how insane it was. However it’s clear that’s not why they did it. Totally messed up.
The people who organized this show should've been arrested, not just the people standing on the ambulance. They were the ones who didn't prevent this kind of situation happening. It's shouldn't even be such a huge issue if not for those people neglecting their responsibility of having a safe concert. 🤦
@@mehere8038 According to these people in the video, there were to many people to begin with, meaning protocol was already out the window. Common sense is when an ambulance shows up at a show, you move. Climbing on top was adding to the delay of getting people help. Management was an issue, but common sense was a bigger issue, all should be help accountable.
in most other concerts, if an ambulance is trying to push through the crowd with lights flashing, the show would have stopped and there'd be a ring of security around it clearing a path.
Even worse, people dancing on the makeshift ambulances.
Anyone from the UK here, Hillsborough 😢🙏❤️
I wonder how many of these people would go back tomorrow to another one of his shows. Probably a lot and that’s depressing.
Yes, lesson needs to be learned on the first time!
I wondered the same thing, those high on drugs will go back forsure, they didn't feel the chaos and danger surrounding them.
There are people talking about how bad it was yet continued to watch, leave and go back. Crazy

They worship him so much they would sacrifice for him, sick isn't it
I think travis enjoyed watching this. He feels like an idol watching the crowd lose it under his influence. Its sick but i think its a dark pleasure.

I got chills just by looking at them 😞
So sad 😭 was a time when crowded functions similar to this was a regular atmosphere for me, what’s so special about going to these events, years ago there was no internet, no HD/4K tv so concerts were a must, many of today’s generation have no perception or appreciation for things associated with enjoying musical artists
Class action lawsuit. This Travis Scott was never a good soul. He left his former manager in a basement while his manager was suffering a seizure. I think this guy is a complete sociopath.
Wow where’s this information
Wait what?
First time I ever heard of this guy,abd now this? Bruh
Yep! He also got arrested for “inciting riots” at his concerts, deleted tweets telling fans to continue sneaking in, paralyzed a fan by encouraging him to jump off the stage, hospitalized 3 fans nearly trampled to death in a previous show...the list goes on.

I heard about this back in November, but I never looked into it to completely understand what happened. That's terrifying and is a travesty. It almost makes my skin crawl. Concert should have been shut down as soon as they declared the mass casualty event.

I'd blame staff and security, if it was his job to pay security then yes he is accountable
i blame the Audience. They were the ones that started a stampede through the security and commenced to dance around people crying for help. they are just demonizing a black artist
Jared Bailey No, Travis Scott better be held accountable for this. He didn’t stop when people were getting crushed to death and he kept going like it was nothing. This is on him and the event organizers. Travis Scott does not care about his fans, he has a history of encouraging them to do violent stuff.
@@mariofan2867 Dude those People were on demon time. You arent holding the audience accountable why? Jared Bailey His fans are pretty trash I’ll say that. But this is still on Travis Scott, maybe if he had better preparation and more staff and security this wouldn’t have happened. That apology video he released did not seem very genuine. And now he’s getting a lawsuit for not preparing enough.
This happened in Hillsborough in 1989 and after that seating was made permanent instead of standing

The fact that he said “if you’re good put a middle finger to the sky”, was proof something unholy happened that night and was conjured by Satan. We have to be critical of the material we take in, it’s so important.
Evan A. Overton no no, this wasn't the work of Satan. This was an oversized crowd of eager youth rap fanatics that were
encouraged to abandon all humane civil behavior. A tribalistic mantality spreads throughout the crowd turning it into a non-caring mob of deadly hooligans!
@@johnnythrogmorton7700 sounds like someone doesn’t read their bible. We battle not against flesh and blood but against the rulers, authorities, and powers of the dark world. It’s weird that the camera guy wouldn’t even listen to those people asking for help! It was weird to see all those people running through security and even them trampling people! Like what the heck?!?!

The venue owners should be sued. Whoever the security and also the camera people sued and the police who did not go onto the stage and tell that man to stop the show should be sued. There is no reason law enforcement could not enter the stage the same way the rappers entered and told them to stop the show so they could regulate that crowd. That man is not solely responsible
