It’s really funny that almost all of the songs used throughout this video were from Jak X itself because the soundtrack is so awesome.
I really appreciate you showing the final time in its entirety. The lines taken in that run are completely insane.
And just like that, Ricky's now made at least one video on every ND Jak game, until we're blessed with a reboot or Jak 4.
Jak 4 actually exist so he need to make a video on it.

Thank you for the very in depth video, I was a tester on this game for Naughty Dog and it was the best experience ever. The final days before the hard delivery date we slept in the office. Interesting fact, the PS2 testing console is about 4 times the size of a regular PS2, it was like a suitcase. By the time I left, Naughty Dog was already working on the world of Uncharted along with components of the top secret PS3 at the time. Great memories.

You weren't kidding about this video being for metalheads. I won't lie, I went into this not that interested on the topic for some odd reason (probably because I'm burnt out on racing history vids), but once again you gripped my attention with Pull being such a beast and I loved the vid.
I also had no idea you ran this on national TV, that's so sick!

Billy from a perfect circle wrote all these songs with the help of the drummer from korn naughty dog wanted tool to write them but as tool were on your they couldn’t so they got the next best thing billy was unsure if he could do upbeat songs so he asked korn to help as well as a few other people whilst developing the game the devs were listening to queens of the Stone Age that’s why the intro to the game features 2 of their songs from songs for the deaf this was my first ps2 game and it also shaped the music I love to this day I even listen to the Jak x ost every now and then because it’s so sick

One of the ground-setting series as to why I fell in love with games as a kid, truly nothing out there with it's progression in gameplay and character as it, and god what an amazing art direction, super unique and always visually interesting to look at.
A single level in one game having this much history, simply amazing how their community pushes eachother forward!

God DAMN, this video was such a banger, my new favourite from you! I can really tell you had a ton of fun editing it together with the music, and what a great soundtrack to edit to! I think I'm gonna pick up Jak X because of this video. I've always loved speedruns, but the time commitment has always been daunting. Single races seem perfect for me

The editing here is GOD tier, it's a joy to watch this. Every moment from the insane marginal PB's to the awful showing of the track on national TV add a ton to the story! Keep up the good work, king!

I'm so happy you decided to talk about Jak X. It's one of my favorite racing games of all time, and I feel it doesn't get as much love as the rest of the series, whether warranted or not. I'm gonna start watching so many speedruns of it now!
i feel it didnt get much attention bc it was a “spinoff” but it was seriously one of my favs racing games on the ps2. and the ps2 had a lot of racing bangers

There's something special about skips in racing games. Seeing the vehicle zooming through the air and landing on another section of the map is particularly satisfying. I appreciate you showing off some of that even if it wasn't the main focus of the video!

The editing has become godlike. I remember realy liking your Pokiskip video and being amazed, but its on another level now. I dont Speedrun, but always found it fascinating to watch. This channel is GOLD.

You've outdone yourself with this one. An IL on a game with 14 runners on the leaderboard, and yet I think it's one of the best video of the genre. I was super excited when I got the discord notification yesterday as I've been following Pull ever since you randomly hosted him in ~2016 (I think you were doing the Ratchet 1 Hoverboard races). What a phenomenal runner and what a great video showcasing this track. Again, kudos to you!
Amazing video and story, this became one of my favorite ones! I loved the transitions from 16:9 to 4:3 you did at the start line. Kind of a missed opportunity not to call Pull the Flying Finn though haha
this is honestly one of the most compelling speedrun videos i've ever seen. major props man
Cant get over how good the cinematography in this video was with all of the freecam shots and editing choices. Music definitely helped a ton as well. Nailed the feeling of the track's progression perfectly.
After trying this out for a bit, that final turn labeled "S turn" is tough to get the angles right. Even worse its at the end of the track.

Perfect editing with the soundtracks. Its like you picked the right ones for each moment in the video, they all fit where they are so well in the video lol i actually listen to the entire jak x soundtrack often. I love it so much and it NEVER gets old to me
The quality of your videos just gets better and better overall, congrats man. I watched you play seaport on stream a couple of months ago and i just felt there without even trying how insanely optimized it is just get to top 3, let alone getting WR... seems like Pull is just on another level lol.

That's very interesting! I've felt the same way about this track too. I used to optimize races before I even knew what speedrunning was back in the day. It's been long since I've played Jak X now and I should probably open my old saves and take a look

Watching Pull's absolute confidence without even the tiniest bit of hesitation in every run is astounding. He is absolutely unshakeable.
Also, I love videos where the narrator is one of the recordholders. Always cool to take the third-person historical perspective suddenly into "and I did this sick run" for a moment. Great stuff as always, and I enjoyed it a lot even though I've never even played Jak X. Well done.

Bro I can not TELL you how much I love these speedrun analysis videos. Shit has me on the edge of my seat every single time, and by the end I find myself interested in speedrunning the game myself, from BTR, pokiskip, god of war, RAC, Precursor Legacy, etc. I can tell you put a crazy amount of effort into these videos. Probably the only person on UA-cam whose videos I watch no matter what its about. Keep on keepin on
As a former Jak X speedrunner, this video is making me in tears, this video wants me to play Jak X again and somehow return on some tracks. the fact that after so many years i still have a WR and i hold a WR for over 2 years on badland sanctuary, oh god i wanna cry. i would really like to see more video on these ILs of Jak X, some tracks (even if short) have their good stories. thank you for this video!

This brings back some fond memories. Deathdrome was my and my brothers' favorite track as kids, but Seaport has been a treat as grown-ups.

One of my favorite games and the best racing game of all time. Also has one of the best soundtracks ever, I still have it all on a playlist for whenever I need it. The guys from Perfect Circle and Faith No More really knocked it out of the park.
