One of the best things to do when you travel is eat delicious local food. So one of the ideas I like to do when I visit any destination is eat a typical breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Japanese food is amazing, and in Tokyo you have so many options of what to eat, so on this Japanese food tour, I decided to eat a mix of typical and authentic Japanese food.
    Breakfast at Shokudo diner 東新宿食堂
Japanese breakfast can be very regional in Japan, but a good typical Japanese breakfast is a bowl of rice, miso soup, and often a piece of grilled fish like a mackerel. Just down the road from where I was staying in Tokyo, we went to the local diner for some Japanese breakfast.
Price - 1,690 JPY ($15.29) for everything on my tray
    Lunch at Sanshuya 三州屋
This is one of the best local Japanese restaurants I’ve ever been to in Tokyo. Thank you to Yuko for this recommendation. It’s a small hole-in-the-wall restaurant that serves incredibly fresh fish and daily specials. Amazing little restaurant in Ginza, for best Japanese food.
    Total price - 3,300 JPY ($29.87) for 2
    Dinner at Shibuya Morimoto Yakitori
There are so many different Japanese food you can choose to eat for dinner, but one of the common businessman meals is an afterwork stop at an izakaya (a Japanese pub). One type of izakaya is a yakitori restaurant, serving grilled chicken. I went to a restaurant called Shibuya Morimoto, a wonderful chicken heaven and ordered the omakase set. The chicken sashimi was actually incredible!
    Total price - 9,001 JPY ($81.45) for 2
So that wraps up this authentic Japanese food tour of breakfast, lunch, and dinner in Tokyo. Thank you for watching!

I would like to visit Japan, when all
this covid eventually enables me to
do so - the people of Japan seem so
      respectful, unlike the Chinese.
I have visited Thailand 30 times
over the past 15 yrs and while I
love the country maybe its time
      for a change 😊🇬🇧😊🇬🇧
      Where would you recommend going!
Osaka looks good, also is English
      widely spoken.
Finally I cant use chopsticks, find it
so difficult ☺☺☺ stay safe and
      greetings from the U.K. 🙏🇬🇧🙏🇬🇧

I recommend you to visit Osaka, for sure.
But I don’t know if you like Osaka’s soul food.
If you like seafood,Hokkaido is good place!!
I like Okinawa so much. I only have visited once though.
People are very kind and you can see beautiful views:)
      p.s. You can use chopsticks!!!
      Wonderful!

On UA-cam remember. We’ve seen so many people appear to be totally great on tv or UA-cam. We keep being fooled because these people aren’t the same people offline. Even if you’ve met them and they’re the same - that’s timed. When they’re alone with family it’s a different story more often than not. You shouldn’t ever just assume they’re the same way.

I don't mind trying chicken sashimi or their Tataki since Japan is the most disciplined Asian country I know. I can almost trust their street food compare to other Asian countries. I'm Filipino and I've had Filipino street food and I enjoyed them quite a lot but for those who look for safe Asian street food I suggest Japan to be the place.

I like traveling, so I'm looking forward to watching your video as learning English.
Foods you had eaten in this day is so typical and common in Japan. I'm glad that you introduce our Japanese food cuisine. The raw chicken(鳥刺し Tori-Sashi) is safe and delicious in a restaurant specialized in grilled chicken. It's interesting to learn what foreign tourists are focusing on.
Did you enjoy staying in Japan??

Not trying to be rude, but I'm really curious what your age is, and it's so amazing that you travel the world just to eat food. I only wish I can do that.

I am not sure if you are consciously not doing your endearing head tilting thing, Mark. But as a subscriber and lover of everything you do - please don't let the negative comments change you. There's a reason you have a million subscribers - and I think the infamous head tilt has a little to do with it ;) Your manners and positive outlook on life, make you and your beautiful little family a pleasure to watch!

If he bends towards right after taking a bite then you can say he really really liked it otherwise he stays still and gives those goofy expressions 😃. Atleast thats what I had observed from his videos so far 🙃.

As a born-and-raised American, I really don't think I could ever eat raw chicken... My mind just says, "NO!". Thanks for making a video of common meals eaten throughout the day in Japan! Very interesting. I have never had fish for breakfast in my life! The buttery fish you had looked veeeery tasty though! I always end up SO hungry when I watch your videos... lol
