Made this yesterday, twice, and it's a definite win. I didn't have many eggs so I only added two yolks, and it came out quite well even with that change. It definitely honors the berry. I might try swirling in some nice chocolate next time. Thanks!
What a coincidence, I just made some yesterday. I used a new england style base with whole, macerated, gently cooked berries. But, I like the seeds. In my opinion, wild black raspberry is a flavor equal to woods strawberry or Maine blueberries, but has yet to reach the same level of recognition.
I found your recipe for wild grape jelly online other day, I made the pectin free version. It was delicious! But it didn't quite set fully. It got thick, just not jellied. I cooked it to 225° and everything! So now it's grape syrup for vanilla ice cream and grape soda. 😂 and if it wasn't your recipe, then someone else has the name Forager Chef out there 😅 Thank you, I look forward to more foraging recipes 🙏
@@HollysHealingHerbs Hey sorry that didn’t work for you. It’s still delicious though. Pectin ensures it will work, making it without it means you really need to do set tests. If you have more q’s I’m here.
I like your stir stick/paddle. Is it a special kind? Also, have you tried this in a Ninja Creami where you freeze first and blend after. Would this impact the texture compared to traditional process?

Discovered these beauties this year! Have a stash in the freezer. Thanks for the recipe.
Looks sooo refreshing!
This looks gorgeous! I love raspberries but i'm not sure i've had a black raspberry before.
