That campsite with the porta toilets is a heavily used campsite for a kayak company that uses the pine river. I’ve been through this road many times and that spot looks like a shanty town during popular kayaking weekends lol
@@matpars oh wow! So there is a trail down to the river from there or nearby? It was unexpected to see the portas there, but it would have been even more surprising to come across a whole community, lol! Thanks for sharing that info!

Love this area! Some great campsites along this road. About the halfway mark there's a great viewpoint over the river on a dune that a lot of people camp at.
@@AdventuresintheHeartland it looks like there are some great hiking trails up there and lots of camping opportunities on the trails for multi-day hikes. The rattle was a usb connector under the camera mount. We had run a line so we could have a dedicated usb connection for the camera and tablet. The connector was back under the mount where we couldn't see or reach it easily. It wasn't that noticeable as we were driving - it wasn't until we watched the video back that we really heard it, ugh! Hope you both are doing well!

What trail was this that you called your favorite in Manistee
@@gz4405 that was the Pine River Corridor Trail. It's right off Caberfae Highway near Low Bridge rec area.

This was definitely our favorite trail. We hope to get back in the future to explore some more. Thanks for watching!
We want to hike up that way. What was the rattle. Was it the camera mount.
