This does not benefit the players as much as it hurt the players on average. That is a massive misconception. The increased odds goes from 1/36 to 1/24. For the first encounter of vesper's host where there are 6 possible drops the common roll would on average take 100 runs to reach the 50th percentile of players to get the common roll. For reference the average number of runs it would take if you want to reach the 50th percentile if it was 1/36 is 150 runs. Now lets take a look at the rare roll where it is on average 1 out of 454. In order to reach the 50% percentile for this roll it would take 1888 runs. This is why the overall system is not a wash. @@sunshot_addict But Bungie didn't purposely place the perks that people desired next to each other. No. Definitely hasn't gone both ways. Ive been complaining how its harder to get a lot of weapons than Borderlands and borderlands has a lot of ways to focus farm drops. This has been the case for a long time. Crafting's entire purpose was to make sure we could get God Rolls in case of bad RNG and in over 100+ weapons Ive only gotten the god roll twice before unlocking the pattern. If it benefitted us more than it hurt us crafting would have never gotten so much hate from the big time streamers. Ive been defending this point since before WQ and people are only finding out now just how much of a headache crafting has saved us.
Farmed the boss all morning today. Got 12 pieces of armor in a row back to back and only 3 weapons. Only 1 of them was chill inhibitor and it was a trash roll. This is bullshit dude. FIFTEEN clears and only ONE drop? Why tf does it drop so much armor!? It needs to drop a weapon guaranteed each time ffs.
I think the crafting thing comes from a place of not wanting to farm, personally I don't think weighting should be a thing, but the answer isn't double downing on a system to remove randomness entirely.
Like the other guy said, you still have to farm for weapons, but people like having a light at the end of the tunnel. Because with randomness that isn't the case at all. And the majority of the community would prefer build crafting and using a weapon rather than spending all of their time chasing after a weapon
@@ThePackman627 spot on. These “hardcore” players are the minority and a lot of us just don’t have the time to play 3+ hours a day to a nice weapons roll. @@AzrealJ that was the original vision of crafting but then they added enhanced perks which trivialized all non red border drops. @@lemonyship96The problem is, to my knowledge, that it is user submitted data. Hey Ehroar, one point I wanted to make in response to this perk combination weighting conversation. You said something to the likes of “perk weighting making random rolls not truly random” (around 12:15). What I believe you’re misconstruing is the idea that something being uniformly distributed (i.e. every outcome having equal likelihood like rolling a 1 or 6 on a single dice roll) with non-uniform distributions (i.e. the likelihood the sum of two dice rolls being equal to 2 [1,1] versus them being equal to 6 [1,5 ; 2,4 ; 3,3 ; 4,2 ; 5,1]. This system is still a “random roll system” it’s just the case that not all combos are equally likely.

This is intentional and, for sure, has to deal with crafting for most of the community. This has always been the problem for many of us that crafting fixes, but no, we have to have elitist cry babies that require certain weapons with specific roles to be able to run activities with them. Why can't we choose what perks we get on the weapon that drops for us? I don't want to grind the same activity over and over and over again, I want to have fun with the weapon. The best weapons are potent because a small number of people have the god rolls. The same reason why crafted weapons are way worse than non-crafted weapons. A lot more people have them......

It’s easy to think it’ll be adjusted soon. No matter what Bungie says, they don’t really test things a whole lot. Just literally replicating what these people who damage test all the time would find the imbalance and adjusted it before release.
can you read? the dps difference is a couple thousand. That's not significant. The only reasonable thing they can do is slightly reduce the reserves of 150s so 120s have more total damage. But even then the difference is only like 200k. Also 150s have been out performing 120s for a long time before this it's just no 150 has had insane rolls like this one. So it's just as likely that the desired roll is a common perk combination as it is the rare perk combination. The common perk combination does not save nearly as much time as the uncommon perk combination wastes. That's why this bug isn't a wash as far as wasting people's time.
That explains the recent 15-20 onslaught runs just to try to and get a kinetic/frenzy on blast furnace.. Full runs too 🥲
Also demo/chill clip goes hard
Honestly, if we could craft these weapons, we wouldn’t be having this conversation and it will be less on the coding and more players can actually play other activities and learn how to do them
whats up guys, today we'llbefinaegoiovr the new Chill Inhibitor 😂i love you man
Give us a good solar GL ffs
Used up all my good luck I guess.
Got spike nades, envious, BnS
I literally got the God roll gl, wave gl and icebreaker in the same run
the proximity perks actually seem true because as i go into d2 gunsmith like most of the guns i had trouble getting have the ideal perk combination so far apart lol
I thought that D2G only tracks rolls in our inventories, not dismantled ones.
@@Based_Shogun the perks you can get on the gun are in order on d2 gunsmith so i checked to see how far apart some of the ideal perk combos on the guns were and they were pretty far appart
I got cascade and bait n switch like my 5 th fist encounter farm prolly the last bit of RNG ON my side for a while
Farmed the boss all morning today.
I got the envious bait and switch but no spike nades. Is it still better then god roll edge transit?
Yes
@ehroar he same perks drop on Bitter/sweet from Onslaught wouldn't the damage be comparable?
enhanced envious arsenal gives reserves like you have 1 mod on as well so its even better
I think the crafting thing comes from a place of not wanting to farm, personally I don't think weighting should be a thing, but the answer isn't double downing on a system to remove randomness entirely.
You still have to farm for crafted weapons?
Like the other guy said, you still have to farm for weapons, but people like having a light at the end of the tunnel. Because with randomness that isn't the case at all. And the majority of the community would prefer build crafting and using a weapon rather than spending all of their time chasing after a weapon
@@ThePackman627 spot on. These “hardcore” players are the minority and a lot of us just don’t have the time to play 3+ hours a day to a nice weapons roll. Farming 4 hours a week then crafting after a while for what I want is QOL and makes it feel much more rewarding. Plus if you don’t like it simply don’t craft. Win win for everyone
@@AzrealJ that was the original vision of crafting but then they added enhanced perks which trivialized all non red border drops. It was supposed to be that if you don't get the god roll along the way, you can just craft it so your time is still respected. It wasn't supposed to be delete everything but red borders because it can't get enhanced perks, it was supposed to be a sort of bad luck protection. They could maybe have crafting and enhancing so if ur luck is complete shit u can still craft. But depending on how long rng has been completely fucked, crafting may not have been entirely necessary in the first place.
@@sunshot_addict that’s absolutely hilarious that you deleted things that can’t get enhanced. Real nimrod logic wtf
Got my roll and enjoy it for stasis synergy, but still prefer my shiny Edge w/ Env/Cascade & BnS 👍
I got it to drop with a velocity masterwork
Cold comfort was acquired the exact same way
Except the godroll for it is in the same row so if the conspiracy is true its 100 times more likely to drop
My friend has only gotten god rolls of this gun (no farming) almost every drop he got was this gl. He litteraly has an envious bait
I really want to know the numbers on this 150 RPM Cascade+B&S roll compared with a 120 RPM Cascade+Deconstruct roll.
I still use my Edge Transit with Cascade+Decon and I just keep firing and keep getting shots. It's unbelievably satisfying.
I love the people saying “you asked for non craftable weapons” as if it isn’t literally one in a thousand runs to get
Its more like once in 90 thousand lol
What is that solar sniper?
The only reason crafting is being brought up is because this season they took a break from it on seasonal weapons - which have the same issue as the dungeon ones.
i thought this was the weighted roll 👀ive gotten like 3
Wasn't crafting supposed to fix this problem....
Got my 5/5 cass/bait. Dont really care to heavily farm for the other roll anymore. I did want a explosive light roll but the new version of Acomic gets Withering gaze and Explosive!
I got explosive light with attrition orbs. Pair it with the void gl with also attrition orbs, all 8 shots get that 60% damage buff
@@OMJNRG that's what I want! Shooting a champ with Velocity Baton then hitting it with Withering+Exploive light and getting all the orbs back. Super easy to now have weaken, radiant and explosive light up 100% I'm also assuming having a shoot to loot+ genetic tremors will work on bosses to keep explosive light up from a distance
Have they got New Rolls now
People will complain about anything that makes their life harder even if it's just playing a game 😂
My first roll was Cascade bait
Why didn't you talk about envious assassin at all and compare it to chill because you can shoot off like 18 to 24 shots without reloading on edge transit
I don't know when but i got it on first week hard lunch spikes and even augment
for the 8 shots swap
Cascade bait
And u know what i haven't used it why u ask
Theres nothing that doesn't bore me on this game
I got and didn't even care for the roll
im not messing i got the 5/5 vs chill from my day 1 clear but ppl toldme it wasnt good cuz ir didmt have ennvious
Can't solo the dungeon so I don't care about weapons that are not accessible to solo players
spike grenade or mag perk on120s?
Guess bungie removed envious assassin / bait and switch edge transit for the click bait. Smh
This is definitely intentional or it's at least known that the RNG system they were using has a predictable pattern for drops. Wild incompetence or malicious intent either way it's a terrible look. The fact that they came out and denied it either means they just denied it without looking which is wrong or the players are smarter than the devs again wrong
Doesn’t the new gl from the episode roll envious/ bns?
yes but it has slightly less dps and total damage but honestly it's better for dps rotations because u can match surges with cloudstrike imo
@ it’s what I thought too
Glad I got this on my 2nd roll the 1st day the dungeon dropped :p
Right? I got it too, early on, which is why I believe the whole "perk weight" controversy is actually just a case of the worst RNG in the whole universe
@DarkPyroZero it's not fake, but it's not intentional. Go watch dattos video on it, it's weird as hell but makes sense
@@DarkPyroZero it is real but not on purpose
@@lemonyship96The problem is, to my knowledge, that it is user submitted data.
If that is correct, do you think the two people in this post or any of the many who got it on their first handful of drops would be submitting the data to help take the statistics down?
Or do you think that the only people that are submitting data are people farming an unhealthy amount of time and are bitter and trying to figure out Bungie has slightest them?
I’m assuming that some degree of it is true because it’s Bungie… but it doesn’t change the fact that almost all “data” in the current day is highly inaccurate for a multitude of reasons… most of it being selection bias.
@amorfati4927 it isn't user submitted data, it is data coming directly from the API. This means it's even including the rolls you and I have gotten.
Frick crafting!
Haven't played destiny since phase 2 of the final shape release. Now if I want to play GMs I have to grind a ton and rely on RNG for good weapons 😴
always been that way
Master should be enhanced
Both should be one and one
Unfortunately I only been able to get cascade + BnS with mini frags... And a blast radius mw... I'll farm for the envious roll once the RNG thing gets fixed.
spikes are almost entirely pointless on heavies after the nerf. the extra reload on mini frags is probably better if you don’t have a reload perk tbh
@@Cute-catgirl Oh nice. I usually main strand titan and use grapple to reload. Just sucks getting a blast radius masterwork. At least I assume that still is a bad thing.
@@x9x9x9x9x9 only bad if u have spike grenades
That's why crafting was better :p
you take cascsade and EL. then you use it in gms. stun the champ activate cascade then go brrr
I deleted cascade with bait and switch, felt like dookie
Imagine believing Bungie knows how to code 🤣
they know how to code the fucking eververse store tho 🤣
Feel like envious arsenal is better than cascade just cause off ease off use and it goes better with bait and switch and also cascade just doesn't last long
im not really going to bother with this gl since acosmic has a neat roll on it (impulse and BnS)
impulse in pve is downright vile
@@bakingjaken3728 wdym
@@thegamingRambo98 it's useless
@@sunshot_addict its better than enlightened action for reload and it makes it easier to hit the gl shots at range wdym
Nope. im in team crafting weapons exactly why i hated rng u might never get the roll u want
Nice vid
Not sure why you’re crying about crafting, are you not using a crafted weapon?
This is intentional and, for sure, has to deal with crafting for most of the community. This has always been the problem for many of us that crafting fixes, but no, we have to have elitist cry babies that require certain weapons with specific roles to be able to run activities with them. Why can't we choose what perks we get on the weapon that drops for us? I don't want to grind the same activity over and over and over again, I want to have fun with the weapon. The best weapons are potent because a small number of people have the god rolls. The same reason why crafted weapons are way worse than non-crafted weapons. A lot more people have them......
Tats the point of farming aint it
how do you get into strikes by yourself all the time?
Solo enabler
I got this roll ..yall want rng but dont want to much of it...😂
What yall maoning ..not enjoying the chase ..the thrill ? 😂.. i hope the take forever to fix this issue and when it goes live i hope rng is so bad yall wondering if they did anything 😂😂😂..back to work
Like this if you have the 2/5
how does ehroar still get into solo strikes??
I don't know if it still works but there was a way to change some settings on your router using powershell.
Its an old video but I know cheese forever has a guide for that.
You set some firewall settings. On consoles, you can roll your clock backwards or forwards and you'll load into (almost) every activity solo.
@@modernprophet5942or just use solo enabler
@@modernprophet5942 can't that get you banned?
@@sunshot_addict no
This has been a thing for years and I've never heard anybody getting banned for it
You're changing firewall settings to prevent people from matchmaking with you.
So that's why I've been getting all my Forbearance GLs with Steady Hand and Chain Reaction combo while farming Onslaught.... I've been going absolute fucking ballistic at my RNG after getting the 6th one like that (especially because I want Ambitious assasin/Chain Reaction combo), but I guess that's how it was designed by Bungie. Thanks for telling us you greedy bastards
Day 2 of demanding you get our beloved pookie Ember back into redeem 😤
No excuses. Bungo needs more people to play. It was intentional. Think about how many game breaking glitches that benefit the players get fixed damn near right away. On the other hand, glitches that hurt us will be addressed when they feel like it.
Right... because OOBs always get fixed really quickly and you can farm 1e encounter of vespers host on master for free even solo using (multiple) OOBs... lmao you are delusional
We all know the drop rates are messed with by bungie
They are bugged, but not intentionally
not messed with, it's been like this in the code for potentially years and no one noticed
@@dankerbelltrue
rapids need to be nerfed, there is no reason an archetype should be doing both signifcantly higher dps AND having more total damage, that is complete power creep, making entire weapons obsolete in one patch is crazy, they should be the best GL for dps, but not for total damage
It will be nerfed, Im not even saying that because I dont like fun, but that is literally what unbalanced means, they need to either buff other GL or nerf this one
there's no way things stay like this for long, gls with bns were already really good, then envious assassin got paired with it and now envious arsenal which is even better? we're reaching the absolute ceiling of weapon strength before things get really out of hand so i'm sure they're gonna readjust things
shut up
It’s easy to think it’ll be adjusted soon.
So they did not make 120s "obsolete in one patch"
Ok the moment you started talking about crafting i unsubscribed lol. Enjoy your perk distribution pattern buddy, especially funny to hear this idiotism after you said you wont be farming.
We don't even need this video since you can't get all the rolls for the weapon I think you should let that issue be repaired before posting a review of the weapon
Don’t be petty
this issue could take months , who knows so . . nah
But you watched and commented, also you now have the info for when it is available and you still moan?
There really is no pleasing some people 😂
Rapid gls were already outperforming adaptives before chill inhibitor even came out 💀
How do you miss a sniper shot on a frozen enemy
haha we've seen this before, don't worry bungie will fix it by nerfing the god roll so you don't want to farm it
