Some people claim that this product is fake just because there are Asian text on the bottle and the liquid is dark blue instead of light blue. 🙄 Different markets have different packaging, and 242 is lighter and 243 is darker. Believe whatever you want but the application method is the same.

Thank you!! Unless you've seen the applicator in use before you have no instructions that tell you to pull up on the collar on the stem to allow the LocTite to flow!!

Is is possible to remove LOCTITE 243 residue from painted surface?
I used Loctite 243 for the screws to attach black painted bar ends weights to the handlebars of my motorcycle. Unfortunately, I had some Loctite residue on my hands during assembly, which left some ugly fingerprints on the shiny black paint of the new bar end weights.
Is it possible to remove the loctite residue from the bar end weights somehow without damaging the paint? Maybe with chemicals, heat or buffing?

But never use loctite on plastic threads because it will eat them up

Are loctite 243 threadlocker work with alloy screw?

Actually, when you close the bottle, you want to make sure the stem of the bottle and the bottle itself is free of air. Are anywhere in the bottle will dry out the product.

Threadlockers are anaerobic meaning they harden in the absence of air.

Why do some video's of loctite look very light blue and thick while others like this video look very watery and dark coloured. I feel like the light coloured thick version looks a lot better.

This is THE VERY WRONG WAY to apply Loctite - HOW TO DO IT THE RIGHT WAY THEN ?
    1. Very important to make sure both the screw and the hole is clean - free of oils etc.
    2. Apply loctite into the hole itself.
    3. Place screw into hole, fasten screw and tighten as soon as possible.
    4. Let rest or dry for at least 10 minutes
Fluid showing up on the surface after tightening is what you want to see - indicating that a proper amount (or at least enough) loctite was applied.
The problem using method showed in this video: If it's a closed or blind hole (as often is the case) none of the liquid will actually enter the threads or hole, but are forced to surface due to vacuum. See for yourself by doing a test using plexiglass or some other kind of clear plastic - GOOD LUCK

Thats not how yo properly apply it. You need it put some in where the screw is going. Because just on the screw, once you start turning. It all goes out. Just like this guy did here but you cant see it.

Kind of expected a curing time to be mentioned in a beginners guide 🫤

Threadlockers are anaerobic chemicals. They only cure in the absence of air and in the presence of active metals, such as iron, steel, and copper. Threadlockers won’t cure sitting out in the open air. The curing process only begins after you tighten up your fastener, which squeezes out the air. If you apply the threadlocker and wait for it to dry or get tacky, you’re just wasting time and risking contamination. With threadlockers, you can apply and install right away.
Unless your talking about curing after installin then generally 24 hours and its good to go.
