    I think removing the load values isn't the best idea. Most people want to see the worst possible outcome, esp. where there is potential risk to the thread coming undone. Thanks for the videos!

    Compare blue 242 and blue 243. Blue 243 will tolerate some oil on the surface. It seems to me that removing all oil from the bolt surface is not always possible. I have switched to blue 243. The cost is similar. It would be interesting to see how they perform if tested.

      I picked up 243 and 263 and will test them in the future.

      @@HacksbyDad hey did you have those tests yet? Just found this video with a search to find a product for high vibration and some light oil.
      I recently bought a new guard for a string trimmer and the bolt backed out within five minutes.
      Luckily I have a metal detector and I was able to find it.
      Going to the auto parts store for some thread locker tonight.
      If you have an analysis on the Blue 243 I would like to see it.

      @@HacksbyDad hey! How cool to get a response for something important. Thank you.
      I just got some orange “permatex” which is stated to do what I want. Vibration resistance and oil resistance.
      Thanks for your time. It’s appreciated. Maybe if you’ll be interested, I’ll let you know how this stuff does in the trimmer head.

      @@heatshield Sure. I'd like to know how the orange Permatex does. Here's a video I did with red, blue, and orange, but not about oil resistance. 😎

    What does loaded vs unloaded mean? What conclusions are you able to draw from your results?

  • @billmongiello4885
    @billmongiello4885 Рік тому

    good video but why are you concerned that the the loaded 14.4 is more than the controll 9.1 and the no-load 3.0 combined...do you think it should be eqaul, why

    • @HacksbyDad
      @HacksbyDad  Рік тому

      Thanks!
      I was thinking that the loaded would be less than or equal to the control + no-load… not more than.
