      I agree! Seeing it all in 1 place is awesome- I couldn't record it all, or else it would be a 5 hour video lol

      @@castironkev i got bored and watched it again. Still didn't see no real bargains.

      @beachidiot for this particular trip I focused on talking to high end dealers, asking questions about selling- so most of my footage is of the nicer but more expensive spots!

      @@castironkev I don’t know how you do it! I probably shouldn’t mention this but if you can make it to KY next June they do a 400 mile yard sale. Usually the first Wed,-Sun. Starts in Paducah & follows Highway 68. I figure if anyone has cast iron skillets & such it’s folks down there. 👋

    Can’t wait for part 2! You content is great as always. You invited comments so hope something non-CI related isn’t too weird. Have you ever had to replace any of the cedar shake shingle siding on your house. Just curious bc I need to do a full side and no one seems to be able to supply them. At this point I’d visit my in-laws in NJ just to get some 😅

    • @castironkev
      @castironkev  2 роки тому

      No comment is too weird, and all are welcome! 🤣🤣 Tho I focus on cookware restorations, I really enjoy looking, chatting, and learning about ALL the old stuff! Not sure about our siding? It's definitely not the traditional shake, if it's cedar at all.. But it's holding up OK after a repaint 2 years ago..

      @@castironkev well it sure looks good! It was a bit tough to focus on you talking with that beautiful blue siding in the back 😅. It looked like you have the larger shingles with the grooves in them which is what I’ve been trying to track down for my 60s ranch house. They tell me it’s a pain to mill the grooves and good luck.

    It would be hard to leave that place lol. What do you think about the la creuset? Wonder if it’s good stuff to pick and flip. I collect cast iron and cast aluminum mostly. But the enameled stuff has started to catch my eye.

    • @castironkev
      @castironkev  2 роки тому

      The vintage 70s and older stuff is great! Just be careful not to buy it with chips on the cooking surface- can't fix that, and eating enamel is bad lol
