Estate Sale at an Old House in NJ

Packed my bags preflight, zero hour 3am lol Early day! Parking is always thunderdome, so getting there before the crowd is worth the effort. Lots of great vendors with top notch swag! It’s funny you mentioned wanting the Wagner ashtray & then picked some up at Jake’s! Heard you mention Leesport, is it better than Blue Ridge? Also, I’m nosey, are Taco & Renee a couple? I stopped watching them a while back.
@samanthab1923 Leesport is smaller but I do well there, so tie? I have no idea about relationship status, but I can tell you they both are genuine people on and off camera!

Are Blue Ridge & Jakes both open on the same day?
@samanthab1923 pretty sure both are open sat/sun from April to October. About 30 miles from each other so I hit both the same morning usually!

@samanthab1923 this was Ohio- the 127 yard sale, so the whole highway was the best! Lol
@@castironkev Oh! You’re kidding. That’s a haul. I didn’t know they did that out there. I’ve heard of the 400 mile sale in KY. Highway 68 just had it June 6-9.

Hey Kev, saw this video and on a trip to see New Jersey family we stopped by Blue Ridge and visited your buddy, Charlie at Cast Iron Cookware, and bought several cast iron pieces from him. You had recommended buying Dutch oven lids whenever you can and I did that buying from Charlie a #10 Griswold Slant Logo Dutch Oven Tite-Top lid. Now I need the dutch oven pot (not baster) and trivet to go with the lid and have been having a hard time finding one. Do you have one and if not, where's the best place to find one (I've been looking on eBay)?
@kirtkirtland6871 I buy any lids I see, unless the price is ridiculous lol. I don't have a bottom for you, sorry. But trust me you can find more pots than lids, so keep on pickin 🍳🍳

@kirtkirtland6871 I appreciate all the support! 🙏 Try FB marketplace for the pot, or even some fb cast iron auction groups- it might cost a bit more but it could be restored already and will get shipped safely
@@castironkev I took your advice and tried FB Marketplace and found a #10 Griswold slant logo dutch oven but it may be an older one as it doesn't have much molded-in information like some others I've seen. I guess the main thing now is making sure the lid fits the pot correctly. Thanks for your replies and any additional thoughts?

Nice work, Kev. Extremely professional setup with such a varied assortment of cool items and iron. Did you ever consider another color than black to put on the tables under the iron? Maybe they'd pop a little more? Just a thought. Glad you had a good time and sold some stuff as well. Kudos on you for putting in the work and doing it.
