This is what insomnia sounds like

- That feeling when you get sleep paralysis every night because you don’t sleep much but you don’t sleep much because you get sleep paralysis so it’s a never ending cycle and you can never stay asleep for more than 2 hours and even when you are sleeping it still feels like you’re kinda conscious and your nightmares are so vivid that it feels like you’re just awake and hallucinating and then during the day you start seeing black figures and feel things moving around you and your lack of sleep causes a lack of appetite so now you’re also not eating and are pretty much too tired to do anything
For anyone else who may be curious about the device I'm using, it's called an Ebow
Check out Camel's album Harbour of Tears. Good prog rock, one of the few usages of it I can think of in a well produced album. Love what you've done with it here.
@@soulofash2112 Also "Sunburst" by Buckethead
Cloudkicker uses it too. Absolutely amazing artist.
Well of course, we can see i,t it's only attached to your arm.

YES I WOULD LISTEN NONSTOP
This seriously needs to be an entire song. I'm hopelessly hooked on it.

Am I the only person that gets like “high” from music? Like there are certain sounds that just feel so good when they hit your ears that you get this feeling that just feels so good. Especially music like this, some would call “stoner rock”, I FREAKING LOVE IT
Happens to me with prog rock like Queen, Pink Floyd and Led Zeppelin
Absolutely. Emotional response to sound. It's built-in to all of us but some are more aware or sensitive than others.
I think it's a lot about articulation and inhibition - people aren't always great at expressing their feelings and often feel too inhibited to share their honest perceptions for fear of being outcast.
Some of the great hurdles at breaking down the barriers between humans are our inability to see we stand together, unified, in our experience of existence. So trendy to be "different" people forget the most important thing is a feeling of togetherness.
Ever been at a concert or performance and felt the audience "shared a moment"? I know I have.
Our knowledge of existence is only just beginning to unfold. Imagine what could be common knowledge in 200 years' time.
When the solo for nothing else matters starts after the YEAHHH it's like a...jizz
sometimes music is overwhelming!
Apparently the closest you can get to taking LSD without taking LSD is to see a tool live show.
Now I can’t sleep until you make a longer version of this

I wonder if that was the point
This went from a want to a need. We all need ooooooooooooone

I feel so numb whenever it hits, but i can 100% guarantee that this should be what's happening inside my brain. Just 80's midnight solo guitar, conquering the night with sleepy eyes and blur vision.
Sounds a lot more like an 80's movie, where the main antagonist is driving on the highway at 300 km/h while wearing aviators.
I spat my tea out thank you
I dig it
You mean like retrowave?
I wanna watch this movie
Knight Rider lmao
I love that description so much, maybe more than I should but jeez I love it.
Feels like a really intense scene in regular show that shows them running
YES
I can hear skips raspy ass voice yelling some Snapple facts that’ll save the universe lmao
Yeeeeah! Or a psychedelic scene that they are solving a big problem
I know I hate that show, but holy fuck it does

Musique Concrete is what that sounds like. I havent had a dream that was like a normal one in over a year.
I mean hot take, my insomnia just sounds like those high pitch mosquito sound effects the use in movies when a scene is meant to be in hot weather

That would be the sweet sound of cicadas my guy
Which is pretty fitting because your circadian rhythm is messed up and you hear cicadas

instead of the sound of rattling from the blankets, squeaking from the bed frame and matress and your brain going of on endless tangeants.
@@heliiminum I think I'm about to swap my bed with a school desk since I fall asleep much faster on those.
Seriously, it gives a lot more hope than what traditional insomnia feels like from my experiences.
You don’t trust me
This could be the soundtrack for a film set in the space or with supernatural things. Like the parts were the heroes are preparing to fight or right after the fight. It’s awesome🤩🤯
UA-cam recommending this to me at 3am is very fitting
It touched me in a way that i can't even explain.
I wish insomnia sounded like this
Starts tired, like you want to sleep but can't, then gets more intense as time goes on.
I demand a full version. It sounds very much Periphery inspired. Loved it!
Periphery's Insomnia can't be replaced in my head, that intro pattern still haunts me
This makes me feel the feelings of loss and nostalgia
true, insomnia is basically overthinking in reverb
That's weird this is kind of what it feels like. I wake up at 3am for no reason a lot and get this weird cosmic feeling it's kind of relaxing but has this threatening undertone I guess you'd call it
My guy thats called LSD and I love it. 😂 No. I believe, in my arm chair psychology theories, that what is causing those feelings is a form of mild dreaming while awake. When you relax your body, and want to sleep, but your insomnia prevents you from doing so, you brain is still releasing chemicals that cause sleep and the dreams that follow even if you dont succumb to sleep. Side note: How fucking weird that our brains trust us so little that they breath for us, and essentially have to drug us with chemicals from our brain to get us to sleep and obey. 😂 Shits wild. Also, listen to those feelings you have when you have them. I feel as though half awake, half asleep is the time in which we are most open to the potential of other dimensions, and are our most true selves. Speaking of which, Salvador Dali would sit up late at night, with a spoon over a plate. When he would fall asleep, the spoon would hit the plate and startle him awake. He would then paint or write down what he saw in his brief sleep and basically manually induce an artificial insomnia for his art. Anyways, Im done rambling. Have a good one, hope your brain stops being a dick and lets you sleep.
Hello,
3am is The Witching Hour. Please, be Careful.
I know this all too well.
@@jay56wilcox How would one be careless at 3 am? *wakes up* "FUCK YOU DEMONS TAKE MY SOUL!"

As a recovering insomniac. I can confirm that this is what it sounds like.
This riff Is so amazing that I had to learn it.
We need a longer version
I am glad your Insomnia is a lot more pleasant than mine, mine sounds like the latter half of everywhere at the end of time mixed with just white noise
That description... Don't be afraid to reach out to people if you ever need to talk and any positive habit can only be started one baby step at a time.
Great playing as usual! Would love to see where this tune goes!
Tbh this sounfs more like being awake and not wanting to go asleep.
It is amazing, but its not that dark as insomnia is. This is ethereal, beautiful bro. :)
dude, that was just fucking beautiful.
Hearing this tired while on 10mg of melatonin took me to a different arm of our galaxy.
I love this with every fiber in my body
A longer version please! This is beautiful!
I wish my insomnia sounded this awesome
Mine sounds like feedback because of tinnitus, but this is nice.
Huh. Neat.
My insomnia sounds like a thousand cats screeching and fighting over a pound of catnip, and while doing so, a siren sounds pretty loudly.
This was epic. It sounds like the ending of an 80s anime style cyber punk movie
That sounds like a main menu theme of a browser game I used to play in childhood
The description fits most nights for me. Great riff, please extend it
Reminds me a lot of Break My Fucking Sky, especially their album Eviscerate Soul. And that's a good thing!
Thank you for introducing me to them! Have been listening to post rock for years, no idea where these guys have been hiding, they're so good!

That navy blue guitar is SOOO beautiful! Wow! :o
This sounds like some home screen music in a game based in space
bro. insomnia sounds pretty good
Can’t just leave us on a cliffhanger like that!
This sounds the way October feels
Hi
Melodically it reminds me of The Light at the Edge of the World by Darkest Hour
Probably one of the nicest licks I've ever heard
Nah I take that back better than just a lick
Feels like I'm back in Subnautica, 2k meters down and almost out of oxygen/food
Damn dude, absolutely amazing
The soundtrack to my sleep paralysis:
Haven’t seen an ebow since Steve Ouimette holy shit
Even have me that lil insomnia angst feeeling, very nice
As an insomniac I can confirm this is what insomnia sounds like
You’re making this insomnia thing sound cool as hell, I think I’m gonna try it
What video game track is this inspired by ?
This inspires to practice and..........to sleep as well, great job !
Ratchet and Clank 3 - Obani Gemini
@@EdwinSantiago19 which part of it tho?
if that's what insomnia sounded like my literal insomnia wouldn't be so miserable
This sound like an 80s movie where the main characters wife is in trouble and is about to die so he is driving fast but its in slow motion
Why can't my insomnia sound this cool? Mine usually sounds like tinnitus, occasional passing cars and barking dogs.
this is awesome, pls make a full track, like 2:30 is enough :D
Omggg, it's unbelievable! Please make a longer version🙏😍
I feel like this has some Donkey Kong country vibes-channeling a bit of David Wise. Haunting tune, good use of your insomnia for sure
Back again, listening for probably the 1000th time, need more of this!!
What was that lazer sustain thing? Ive never seen that.
It might be an e-bow. Don't quote me on that, though.
It is :)
baaaww I was waiting for the chorus to drop! Nice....lucid but heavy.
Sounds like a riff gojira would make
lmao ya exactly i thought the same
Man my insomnia definitely doesn’t sound this rad
No not really but still a nice riff Kek
I was vibing with this so hard mate
I need an hour version of this
Well, it's way too soothing for insomnia. 😅 Insomnia is violent, cruel, unforgiving and distorted. This track makes me want to relax though. Do a full song!
Yes indeed. When I can't sleep this piece start playing on my head, since I was a child.
Always thought the song Rest - Green day was the sound of insomnia. Song followed me through every sleepy, headache ridden morning in SAR training
Just when it sounded like the first verse was about to start, the video ended. I'm hoping for a part two that picks up right where the ending left off.
Til that insomnia sounds like every metalcore progression ever.
i cant stop watching this
Sounds like a perfect dream.
Sounds like a halo character staring off into the sunset with his original assult rifle on a mountain while the camera angle turns and shows million of zombies ahead of him.
ALGORITHM IS BLESSING ME AAAH YES.
Not me watching this at 5 in the morning, unable to sleep.
The E-Bow is one of the coolest guitar gadgets out there!!!
This has vibes of Spider-Man staying up all night unraveling the mystery of Uncle Ben’s murder.
This is actually beautiful and I need an entire song. I beg.
Holy crap, please make a whole song out of this, it sounds sick! 😍
It sounds like something Dir en Grey would compose, specially when the solo guitar enters in the show with the Ebow. Great riffs as an intro man!
i like your taste :)
Honestly this sounds like it would be my sleep aid. I love it!
This just feels to me like a intro to a dream theater song
Bro I need a long version of this
When you're awake but in an eternal fall whilst laying down and you start sinking into the floor
Really true! I'll never can sleep listening to this! Such a good tune!
My insomnia does not sound that good sir, good job.
This sounds like what you’d write after listening to Buckethead for days straight.
In particular, Pepper’s Ghost.
Listening to this with my eyes closed already sends me on a trip.
Brought a lil tear to my eye... I was feeling it. Great progression!!
its like you are sitting on top of train and riding through some retro synthwave style tunnel bruh
this proves one thing.
1. insert a clever caption.
2. locks people into stupidity
3. this is just another guitar video.
You win dude. great tone.
