What will Thor have to pull to win?
I believe the raw w/straps record on a standard bar is 465 kg by Jerry Pritchett. So I guess 445 kg for the win, 466 kg for show
The King will pull whatever required for the event win. It's a relatively weak set of competitors compared to the likes of Brian, Eddie, Jerry and JF back in the Heaviest Arnold days.

Pretty sure Evan's first mystery pull was 420kg/925lbs if I'm counting right.
Andrade's (that is Andrade, right?) looks like 360kg/795lb

Suits have really destroyed people's perception. A no suit 456kg deadlift is fucking insane. I honestly hate suits and like what Shaw is doing.
I am hoping for some other athletes to pull 1000lbs but I think this will be a repeat of the Arnold's for Thor.

@@thestrongmanhistorian I'm expecting hicks to get 505 at the Deadlift Championships if he keeps improving, so Thor might have to push even harder to get 510 or whatever number he puts in his head later on

@@thestrongmanhistorian Honestly I don't want rogue to do a max suited deadlift just for Thor when the invitational is usually a unique competition. Between the elephant bar at arnolds, raw max at SMOE, and suited max at Giants Live Vegas, the max standard height deadlifts are gonna be stale by the end of the year. Let Thor break it another comp or record breakers event

Thor might pull a grand, but it won’t be because he needs it to win. I admit to not liking Evan’s deadlift, I always felt that he sacrificed a good lockout position in order to get that silly explosive start; but I think he looks way better without the suit and will take second on this
Hooper's lockouts are worse. Look at shoulders. But it's strongman it's normal

Strongman raw is no deadlift suit. Straps are allowed.
