that is 50% of it for sure LOL the other 50% is its hard to not like Eddie he is a character brain feeds off of for better or worst LOL as the start of the video showed..
watching 2 full grown men moaning on a gym machine I wouldn't be able to not laugh the uneasy part just makes it that much better gotta break that ice sometimes.
There is no way these 2 could be nice to each other for a whole 12 minutes 🤣 i knew it would be a load of different clips put together before i played it 🤣
Then why wasn't Eddie at SMOE (aka "Hey look it's Thor" convention) that failed miserably while Eddie was at home buying WWII era tanks 😂 Pretty sure that put a pretty hefty dent in their relationship
While I do watch strongman and powerlifting and can appreciate the amount of effort that goes into the training I have very little respect for men & women who take any type of PEDs such as steroids or HGH and whatever other drugs there are nowadays. And people like Mitch Hooper get so defensive when asked about drugs and say it's nobody's business. I used to watch bodybuilding up to the late 80s when they still looked relatively decent compared to the absolute steroid freak shows that they are nowadays. To me my all time favorite physiques in that sport were Frank Zane, Bob Paris & Lee Haney ( before he won his titles when he was placing 3rd & 4th ). The only competition I would now would be an all natural where the guys have normal healthy looking muscular physiques. Yes what Eddie has his son doing is completely reckless and is all ego driven. As for the business - yes both of them seem to be all about making money and their personalities do seem to be mostly fake. If they wanted to improve their images they should do some charity work to give back to the community. At least I can give Mitch a little bit of credit as he gives 20% of his merch sales back to local gyms
I’m sorry to tell you, but steroids have been in bodybuilding since the very early 1960’s. Zane, Paris, and Haney all used steroids, and probably thyroid, and diuretics. Do you know why Zane was really called “the chemist”? It was because two months out from a show he looked ordinary, and then on contest day, he looked extraordinary. As for “ natural” contest, the sad truth is there are competitors who are enhanced and have sophisticated means of beating tests. The other thing is most organizations that put on natural shows allow former steroid users to compete after a certain time period. If someone was previously huge and enhanced, they almost always will have muscle memory that allows them to get big again far more easily than a lifetime natty. As for giving back. Brian has done more to promote the game of strongman than anyone. And you certainly don’t know what he and Eddie give to charity.
I dislike both, but I do follow their antics because I am invested in the sport of strongman. As to why, I guess I'll start with Eddie. His way of perceiving the world is twisted and naive. He firmly believes in an "alpha and beta" dichotomy when it comes to people, and he views being loud, unapologetic and partaking in activities traditionally classified as masculine as being "alpha". This type of world view is fundamentally flawed, and I believe it is both reflective and a result of intellectual destitution. Furthermore, Edward is a father to three children. In my humble opinion, a loving and intelligent father will always choose to be a strong role model in every sense of the word. A good father should also care about himself, as he is responsible for the upbringing of his offspring. A good father has strong morals, a good heart, is supportive and caring, and also takes care of both himself and those reliant upon him. Sadly, Edward has been consuming copious amounts of performance-enhancing substances cutting at least a decade of his life away, and by using said substances he has shown his low moral character by supporting crime and corruption rampant around the production, distribution and sale of said substances. Not only this, but browsing through Edward's posts in his various social media profiles, we see he actually lets his son, Maximus, perform heavy lifts in the gym with very poor technique. It's quite evident that he encourages this type of lifting despite the danger it poses to his son's health. A caring father who is also knowledgeable in matters like this should never let their children lift like this. I believe he's allowing this simply because he feels his ego is being stroked when his progeny can also lift big weights. Ultimately, from an outsider's perspective, it appears he is willing to put his son in harm's way for his own selfish reasons. Finally, I feel like mentioning the Hafthor vs. Eddie boxing buildup is worthwhile here. Eddie decided to taunt Hafthor by bringing his family into the conversation. Eddie told Hafthor to "shut his mother up" with his own son sitting in the same room with him. This type of public antagonizing clearly went over the line, and you could see the discomfort in the eyes of Eddie's closest family members as the situation escalated. Just what kind of an example does behaviour like this set? As for Brian, the same criticism regarding substance abuse can obviously be applied to him. He, however, does seem carry the burden of parenthood with a bit more grace than Eddie. Shaw is not making his kids potentially cripple themselves by yanking big weights off the floor, but rather he is allowing them to follow their own interests in life. Brian is typically not as big of an antagonist as Eddie. Where Brian falls short in my eyes is just his personality and motivations. Over the years his mind seems to have become occupied by a single objective only, and that is business. To Bri, his life's purpose is business, and he no longer really has a personality beyond that. He's like a skydancer, one of those plastic tube guys powered by air in front of car dealerships. Don't get me wrong, I like what he's advertising right now (SMOE) but I just can't like the guy. The fallacious dynamic they portray together is another thing that I do not like. Together they are forced to play their parts in a tragic two-clown show that is so dreadfully predictable and disingenuous. I can't help but see through the façade of these two millionaires acting like fools in a prescribed clown show trying to make more millions in the process. There's nothing light-hearted, genuine or thought-provoking in anything I have seen them put out. Good video!
That is a hilariously bad take for Brian: first off every single strongman takes steroids and they aren’t harmful unless taken in substantially higher doses than normal and if someone does that it’s their own choice, it’s not like they’re being influenced to by athletes. Secondly he certainly has a personality outside of business, his life is the sport of strongman and always has been. Everything he promotes is for the benefit of the sport and might I add that almost every strongman promotes the brands they use or their own products and organizations
I genuinely think one of the reasons Brian likes Eddie, is because he can play fight with him, without killing him.
that is 50% of it for sure LOL the other 50% is its hard to not like Eddie he is a character brain feeds off of for better or worst LOL as the start of the video showed..

First comment I’ve seen seeing the same thing as me.

@@nevertoofast2I wasn’t referring to steroid usage
