As always, amazing video! Thank you for explaining everything so clearly. And I definitely would love to watch a video on editing music (and to the music)!
Thanks!!!! Trying to keep things simple. I’ll put it on the list for sure :)
This video helped me a lot
Thank you so much and love from IRAN ❤
Really great educational quality. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Wow, this is great! Just ran in to this video and I must say, well done! You really gave me some good ideas by sharing your workflow. Great content as well, both the information and the video it self!
Thanks! That’s awesome, what kind of ideas?
Best youtube channel ever. Thanks so much for sharing your knowledge!
Wow thanks ! That means a lot 🥲
New Here all the way from the Netherlands almost watched every video and feeling so ready! In 2 weeks my first listing as I need to finish up a course which is needed here. They’ll expecting some measurement floor plan and a photoshoot but I’ll blow them away with the video no doubt thanks 🙏🏼
Awesome!! Let me know how it goes 🥂
DANG! Can’t believe how helpful these are, killed it! As someone who’s done a good amount of these, I still learned a lot from this. Great breakdown!
Really???
Wow amazing edit, and thanks for explain all... Love you bro 💙
Thanks! No prob :)
Great video man! Some solid tips. I use epidemic sound for my UA-cam videos but for my real estate videos I actually use Envato Elements. Tons on there and the yearly subscription is super cheap. And there’s tons of stock video, photos, video templates, etc on there too.
Ooh nice ! I haven’t tried that one. I’ll check it out.
Hello Taylor, thank you so much for all your advices; i did my first las weekend and they loooved it; thanks again
Way to go 🥳 Have fun
Love how this is kinda like me, just some random guy trying help others on UA-cam!
Keep up the great work, man!
Haha yep that’s me. Thanks !!
Well done! You're videos are gold.
I love your real estate tutorials
😁 Awesome to hear!
This is amazing, and you are amazin. Good sir. Thank you so much, this really helped out and did level up my workflow and output
Awesome! Thanks :)
Love your work bro! Keep it up 👍
Thanks!! Hope it was helpful 🤙🏻
Awesome work man! Still too busy with full time work to take the time off to go shoot a house with all I've learnt. Hopefully during the Easter holiday coming.
Sounds like you'll be ready for the opportunity!
Moral of story: Create something special, short and unique. Don't show all the house but rather highlight the important details; living room, front, etc.
Show the premises of area in first secs and drone shots of house before diving in. Great tips, thanks
Clear explanation. Thanks for sharing these tips for free.
Hope it helps !
This is great advice!!!. IMO it’s harder to make short videos than long! Great video TB! 🔥🔥🔥🔥 (Still dipping into the H-town b-roll I see! )
Thanks ! I have a ton of it that I can use for examples, so might as well ! :)
Nice job bro👏
Great Tips! I definitely haven't been doing enough (any) sound design.
Thanks!! It’s fun stuff :)
priceless video! 👌🏽 lol damn I dont use premier but would you be able to do a video on the title graphics and stuff like outlining the property? 🤔
Thanks!! I got the titles from mattihaapoja.com/collections/more-tools-for-your-video-projects/products/creatorpack
Good job! I want to start a realty photography and videography company with my son, we both have the passion of photography. I will be retiring from my normal job. I need to do something satisfying, and help my son make some satisfying money. You have to love what you do. And I see that in you. Keep it up!!
Congrats! Sounds like you two will have a great time :)
@@TaylorBrownPhotoVideo Thanks Taylor
Great man.
Thanks so much!
I'd love to see how to edit the music track. Great job 👍!
Thanks! Check out some of my other editing videos, might help !!
Super dope. Thanks for sharing the info. Great looking footage, are you still using EOSr?
Thanks! Yeah, everything in this video (Real Estate Footage) was all from the EOS R + Mavic 2 Pro ✅
@@TaylorBrownPhotoVideo you care to share the settings you use?
For sure! Here’s the cheat sheet from my other video bit.ly/3k6rR09
Very nice video!
Thanks for watching!! Let me know if you've got any questions :)
thank you.
Glad to help ✌️
Excellent information. Have you started making vertical real estate videos yet?
Thanks! I just shot some on my phone this week. Pretty fun! Planning to do some videos on it with phone / mirrorless soon 👌
Great tips
Thanks for the support 😁
This is great! Quick question: do you put any mention to yourself in the credits somewhere during the video?
Really curious to know that 😁
Thanks a lot!
Thanks! Nope. If you do, I’d put it super fast at the very end of the video. Or just have part of your agreement that the client will credit you in the caption or tag you in the video.
@@TaylorBrownPhotoVideo I thought so ;) Thank you so much for getting back to me. Please keep up the great work!
Great video as always:) What website do you use to buy motion graphics?
Thanks! Currently using graphics from MotionVFX - bit.ly/3A6DOwz But the ones in this video were from another site - not totally sure which pack they were but I think it was from this site videohive.net/search/glitch%20title
@@TaylorBrownPhotoVideo Thanks a lot:):):)
Can you help me know which real estate video recorder is good? wish you happy
For cameras, a7siii is probably the best performance+quality for video. For photo+video the canon r6 markii is probably the best for its price.
Love your work. but getting off topic, on some of my images I get staggered lines, such as edges of drawes, door frames etc. I don`t know what causes this,.
Any suggestion? Thank you in advance. Graham
Hey! Can you email me examples ? I’ll check it out :) taylorrbrown@icloud.com
Great vid! What’s the name of the intro font animation (for the agent name)?
Thanks!! Its the creator pack from here mattihaapoja.com/pages/shop - Some of their other packs might be better depending on what your needs are! That one's great for UA-cam stuff especially.
These tips are really helpful, thank you! 💪🏼
One more question, how long (duration) can a shot be without distracting a regular viewer or get him or her bored?
Currently I'm editing an approximately 2 min video of a Holiday apartment that my family is renting out and I struggle a bit with this.
So your answer to this question would be much appreciated! 😅
Best greetings from Germany ✌🏼
Thanks! I think as short as possible while still getting across the important parts is a good measure. If it’s new info / views one after another it’s less likely ppl will get bored compared to repetitive shots
@@TaylorBrownPhotoVideo That's what I also kinda assumed. But that will definitely help me.
Thanks! :)
You’ll do great 👍 👍👍
Try to think of it like this, non interested potential clients (NIPC) and interested potential clients (IPC). You are using highlight videos to promote interest to NIPC and NPC. However, only a NPC will watch through a longer 5 - 8 minute video of a property because you have provoked their interest to see more. If you don't like chocolate, you will not be interested to watch commercial about it and instead just skip it. However, if you are in the market to look for a new house you can still be in both groups but time is a factor. People are busy and don't have all day to watch long videos. They need to scan through as much information as fast as possible and then refine their choice. The scanning part of the process would be watching highlight videos and if they like a particular property the IPC will ask the agent for more details, that's when the agent should show them the longer video so the IPC now has time to view the property at a slower more immersive pace. If you highlight video is longer than a minute, then you are wasting your time and it will not be productive as the NIPC would have already clicked off and the IPC should be left with the feeling of wanting to see more, for the IPC and the highlight video, less is more. Personally, I think a minute is too long, 15-30sec is long enough to perk someones interest to see more. In the highlight, only rooms and exterior and location should be included. All detail shots should only be included in the longer videos for IPC, or the longer video just becomes a repeat of the highlight.
Great way to think of it 👌😁
What lens combination are you using? I assume 15mm on wide but what about detail shots?
16-35 amzn.to/3cThzvd & 50mm amzn.to/2Z3QDUE :)
Thank you for the amazing tips! I am about ready to have my first job. I have lots of practice experience now.
How would you recommend I do my first job without any previous work to back me up. Would I do a few free jobs?
Thanks! A few ideas - Build your first RE portfolio using friends/family's houses, and also make some videos featuring Local / Public Places that you can access for free + legally. Then just reach out to agents offering your paid services. Offering free work to agents isn't really the best route without a portfolio (unless you know them personally) - because you're essentially asking them to take a huge risk for someone who they don't even know - you. They only get one chance to impress their clients and get future referrals, so doing anything that potentially wastes their clients' time isn't great for them. Just another way to look at it. Model homes and Airbnb's are another great option if you want to reach out and see if you can use their space for experience / exchange for free content though (since it's no risk to them).
@@TaylorBrownPhotoVideo wow thanks for the tips! Can’t wait till I have a strong portfolio.
What would be the longest length of time you would do for a real estate video?
2-3 min for full tours (for MLS) and 1:15 or less for social :)
Man. So I’m using my iPhone 11 right now until I can get my 6400 with lenses. I went to shoot a property last night. So I have my iPhone 11 in a beastgrip cage, and I have a good wide angle lens with a 17mm thread adapter so I can attach to my cage. Snd then I balance that on my gimbal. But I noticed especially when I shoot lights or windows. I get lens flares. But not cool lens flares. It’s like little circle blue UFOS as I pan the room. It doesn’t look good to me. So I’m thinking about not using the cage With wide angle lens. And using my iPhones wide angle ability. I didn’t use that originally bc when my iPhone is in the cage. I’m not able to use the native wide angle on the iPhone. Will this fix my issue?
Also when I do get my camera. I have all sorts of diffusion filters and stuff. Would you recommend not using diffusion or any filters when shooting real estate?
Hey! You’ll have to try out different setups to see what you think. I wouldn’t know since every lighting situation is different. But yeah, lens flares on phones are not ever as cool as with full frame or apsc cameras / lenses! Could be that your lens attached gets the weird flares and your phone lens will get less though. For future camera - I usually don’t go with any filters except CPL or VND for Real Estate since I’m typically going for a realistic clean look. Other ones I’ve tried just give lights a weird glowy effect that’s not great. Maybe if you were shooting lights off some promist or black satin would work nicely though!
Hi Taylor - Thanks for focusing your channel on real estate videography - it is super helpful. I am looking to create short form videos for IG Reels where the the speed of the video goes from fast to slow - especially with transitioning from room to room. I am trying to determine the best way to shoot a video like this. Can I send you a few examples, and get your thoughts?
Hey!! Thanks for the support. For speed ramping, I typically do it the other way around and shoot at 60 frames per second so you can have the ability to slow it down or keep it at normal speed (and do faster movements on a gimbal or handheld) that way it doesn't get too jumpy looking - My email is taylorrbrown@icloud.com , would love to see!
@@TaylorBrownPhotoVideo Thanks Taylor! I just e-mailed you.
0:37 are these Matti Haapoja's motion graphic templates?
Yeah probably !
@@TaylorBrownPhotoVideo I use his first MG pack all the time. Like on almost every project
12:09 were these doors motorized?
Haha nope! Pushed them and added key frames in post
@@TaylorBrownPhotoVideo I was skeptical haha thanks for the clarification
@@OaklynMediaLLC haha for sure! Hope things are going well for ya
how much you charged for this project video? sir . coz i cant adjust my rate.
Hey! I don't remember, it was a while back. Typically most companies are charging anywhere from 200-500 for quicker shoots like these though. How does your pricing compare to your competition ??
@@TaylorBrownPhotoVideo thank you sir, noted.
First!
haha thanks !! Hows it going with your vids?
Hey great vid as usual. Have you watch this vid on you tube recently, the sound track is not smooth to my ears -like the gain is varying, but if its normal for you, then ignore this, I yield to your expertise.
Thanks! Idk I probably edited it weird it’s been a while 😅
"How to edit a 1 minute real estate video".... Video is 13 mins long... wtf?
The edit in the video is a 1 min video lol 😂 something clients ask for often
Thanks !
For sure ! Thanks for checking out the video 🫡
