Same here, i live in northern California and on my land it's the hard red clay, and sand, and I'm having such a rough time growing grass, i don't know what kind of seeds to put down that will root in that hard clay, so either artificial turf or sod is sounding good to me
I love it! It looks so natural. I have a friend that lives in Palm Springs and has it in her yard. Beautiful and worth the money in my opinion. Sending hugs prayers and kindness ❤️👍🏼🙏🏼
Actually- I see where paths are mowed through rustic areas- He could sell to us country folks like that - Throw rugs through paths. Would really dig that turf through my potager - which has grass paths..
I have the lowest of the low end green outdoor carpets in a segment of my backyard (surrounding my pool). I love not mowing in that tight area and I’m ok with how it looks. This video has helped me appreciate the high quality option. Looking to save up and go with a premium product when I replace my current covering in a couple years.
Really enjoyed hearing your insights Linda on this topic. You confirmed so much of what i thought about using artificial turf. The application of artificial turf in your gardens truly does look natural. Thank you for bringing on the expert as well. Really loved hearing about how the product is created and installed.
When I lived in the desert a lot of people had fake grass on their front lawn and it was no where near as beautiful as these! It was always shiny and so fake looking. It was nice to see some green in the distance but once you're walking by it lost all appeal. This stuff though looks like grass i could lay in (:
I don't like to use chemicals and I don't have much lawn. I'd rather have plants. This could be a good option for me, for the little bit of lawn I have. I hope to be able to find it in my area. Thanks 👍
It took me a long time to realize LV's grass was artificial in videos. I have considered doing this because of severe drought in my area and it is better than patchy brown grass. Sounds weird, but think I'm going to over seed with microclover first and see how that goes.
Hello! I live in Saskatoon, in the province of Saskatchewan in Canada. The oldest plastic turf that we installed about 5 years ago is still a 'grass'. Sure, it has lost a bit of lushness, is not as green as before because our land has a lot of Sun and right on our head. There could be another reason for the less lushness! We haven't really taken care of it. Next spring, I am planning to get one brush and help my turf to look like turf.
I find your turf gorgeous. I only wish! We live out of town a bit. Have had several cows, calves, 2 donkeys once, horses, you never know what might wander through. The wild hogs are rampant and have been 1/2 mile away but not here yet, fingers crossed they never make it here. I will never have a pretty lawn. BTW, you looked beautiful as always.
And let's not kid ourselves. It's not getting recycled and it's the equivalent of a million plastic straws. www.jackwallington.com/17-reasons-to-avoid-fake-lawns-how-bad-is-artificial-grass-for-the-environment/
Question: do squirrels try to dig in it to bury acorns? What happens if they do? We have our yard sprayed for mosquitoes and pests. Is this necessary for turf?
I look at laura’s yard a little differently now. I’m sure Linda realizes that her lawn is plastic and will eventually deteriorate into the atmosphere and soil..
I do but it won’t be for a very long time. Also, I took into consideration other ultimate disposables: the bags of fertilizer, lawn mower and gas to power it, and all other related environmental impacts like water use, etc. . I so appreciate your thinking through the issues🙏🙏.
If the president of Oklahoma agricultural. Didn't know was artificial grass. Maybe he should not be holding the title of President of Agricultural I Oklahoma. 🤣
I live too far away but wish I could have this product installed! I'm so over the maintenance of a weed free lawn.
Me too😭

mind blown! 100% sold on this, I want it for my home.

Looks beautiful! Much respect that it is USA made!!! I don't think I will ever give up growing my own lawn. -Danya

Great video.
Linda you are amazing. You are such a bright woman. You raise the standard in the gardening world on UA-cam.
Yours is the most real, I think. I would love to have this.

Very nice grass look. If I could ever have mine done, it would be with this company.
I never guessed you had artificial lawns until you mentioned it recently (I’m quite a newbie here), it does look flawless. 🌟 great info x

Yup. With my tiny lawn it works for me:)

It’s a lot of money!
Turf/grass to me is a frame for the beds. In the end saves the environment and money.
Nicely spoken
Hope you guys put up the backyard one too!
I'm looking for that too lol
A very good investment...
Amazing! I would have never known it was artificial! 👍🌺
Love our turf and putting green. My "Hubs" installed it himself. Looks fantastic and our dog Cooper loves it as well.
The only give away was that the AF turf was just way to perfect for the south lol.
Lol! I just opened the brochure and there is my house. Did I sign off on that I can’t remember. Love it 😆
Very timely!! I've been looking into synthetic turf. I wonder if it's as realistic here in Australia 🤔🇳🇿🙃
Linda - you are holding a rake - Is there some sort of maintain that has to be done with the rake? Great information. Thanks.
Not really but they give you one. Over a good number of years I think I’ve only used it two or three times… When I spilled gravel in the turf :-)
it’s fantastic!
This is a great informative video! Love that you're using USA made turf. Hopefully we can work together in the future.
It’s amazingly beautiful. ❤️ How do they tack it down? Do the edges ever come up? Thanks!
Wondering if you were holding some kind of tool to fluff up turf? How do you use it?
Yes, they provided the rake and it is used as you would any rake. I seldom need to use it except sometimes to remove gravel. 😀
Thanks Linda! I am thinking about AT and this is great information!
Would have been nice if he talked about installing it in northern climates
My point of reference was just the south, because that’s where I live. There would be any reason it would not perform in the north as well!

I’d take the animals over perfect grass any day if the week. My chickies wouldn’t like fake grass for sure.
Not a fan of artificial turf. It’s like having artificial flowers in a garden. Your pebble and flagstone hard scrape would be better in my opinion.

It’s very expensive too.
Great video - and timely. I’ve started researching artificial turf and this video provided some great information. Thank you Linda and Stewart! 😊
I love it!
Your lawn is beautiful and looks so natural.
Do u know if they our nationwide like in fl.?? Would love reply
Contact them on their website and they can tell you:)
There is no link to the artificial turf video..
What would I give for artificial turf ? Will never happen with 2 acres....Never
Question: do squirrels try to dig in it to bury acorns? What happens if they do? We have our yard sprayed for mosquitoes and pests. Is this necessary for turf?
Look at that guy. Just standing there doing nothing
Does it get hot? The turf on some football fields is so terribly hot on a sunny summer day.
It can

Have you tried a chamomile lawn?
What is the life expectancy and warranty for this brand please?
Love it

Will it hold up with occasional flooding
Is there anyone in East TN installing this turf?
I would love this!!!!
Good timing. I have been thinking about this.
If the president of Oklahoma agricultural. Didn't know was artificial grass. Maybe he should not be holding the title of President of Agricultural I Oklahoma. 🤣
By the way I like the video , and the grass
Lol!
You can buy it used for fifty cents a square foot.
Why would you want to live in Oklahoma?
One has loyalty and loves the good about where the are.
Doesn't look plastic, well it is plastic. Not a fan of artificial grass. Sorry but 👎👎👎
O pop pop p pop poo pot
Are you ok?
