Thank you for another great episode I really like the Honda over the BMW not just because of the price but I think with a few good pieces you could make that Honda a little monster. Plus BMW’s out here are like the it bike at the moment 😞 plus I don’t like all the electronics for me too much to go wrong. Hope all is well stay out of the weather Cheers from cloudy and cold Southern California!
I honestly have been left with the feeling the 600rr is like my SP1. Not as much as an out an out monster but the more you put in, the more you'd get out of it. More rewarding I think with smiles per mile.
What I don’t understand is how bikes seem to get to a used value and stay there, a k7 Gsxr 600 has been around 4/5k for the last 5 years. 10k for this bike is a good price.
That's crazy, my brother in law paid less than that for the 1000cc K7 he had a couple of years ago. It's all down to what people will pay I suppose, they must be selling at that price for them to stay at that level.
I listen to your every word and mate, your comments tell me your brain is begging for a big 2 stroke. Ok a 500 will cost you £16k+, so get a 400! £8-£14k, maybe. Brand new engine. Nothing has lost me, ever, on the RG5. As you say, it's about who wants to be the biggest risk plonker, on the day. They sound awesome, definitely old skool, definitely the head turner, and only a few of us have one 😉 you know you want to... go on... we live once. Your increase in view rate will pay for it. 😉😉
Oh I definitely agree. You know me, I love the old school especially two strokes. But £10k for a bike that'll likely last 30yrs without issues (cbr600s of the 90's are still kicking about) equates to £335 a year. When everything in the world these days costs a fortune this in my opinion is a bargain. Someone has to buy new for us to have a retro "scene" in 2050 😂
@@RetroSuperbikes Yes, of course. Everything is always for sale. Well part of it!🤣 As my spend to date is £41,528.00 at the last count in 2023. I've calculated that you can have: The Mark Dent titanium pipes : £4,400, but you do get the luxury of 4 of them. - 1min 28 in the video. You can have the rear shock and linkage: £1,200. - 1min 42 in the video. The front forks, Brembo callipers and brake discs. Sorry, no front wheel, tyre or clamps: £4,500.00. - 1min 48 in the video. It comes to £10,100, so you'll owe me £100! 😂 So, you'll need to get a frame, engine, tank, fairing, electrics, lights, and tons more.... 🤣🤣🤣🤣 Or yes, buy a brand new CBR6 for less!! It is a bargain for those not in the know, but as you'd know, comparing tin foil to gold !! 😉 Receipt in the way of this video: ua-cam.com/video/6dW273-Ist4/v-deo.htmlsi=ZfX4Vt_VdafvwKZw
10K is a bargain... like... no where in the world. I bought my first bike for 500 US bucks. Still have 20 years later, it's now 40 years old, and still getting 60mpg.
That's used. The CBR600 F4 I tracked on my videos on here I paid £400 for. This is £10k new in 2024, 120bhp when in 1992 the Fireblade was £7500 new with 125bhp. That sold like hot cakes. With inflation, and when everything else in the world is super expensive this I think is an absolute steal.
For a brand new supersport in 2024 it's a steal. The Fireblade SP is £23k and a wanky parallel-twin pretend supersport CBR500R will set you back £6.7k. Competitiors are priced similar. You're just giving off clueless old man yells at sky vibes.

Nice review mate! Too bad it costs over 12k here in Sweden. But I'm still getting one. Arrives next spring!
Oh you lucky thing. What colour have you gone for?
€14,499.00 in Ireland. Absolute kip
@pennyman10 Could you import, or pickup here and ferry over?
@@RetroSuperbikes Yeah man. Red of course! Can't wait!
@maximusvon Did you ride a demo before you bought?
Great review enjoyed that ride into the abyss
Lol thanks bud, just hope I can ride it again in the summer. It's a little rocket

@RetroSuperbikes yes, I had a go on a race track with a Cbr600. Very capable machine. As you say, £10k for what you get is brilliant
@RG500_detectorist Although are you offering me your RG for £10k? 😂

Ah yes £10k bargin 😂 be real...

Not really a superbike though is it
Says who? 120bhp was "superbike" in 1992
