- In this video i'll be removing DB-Killer from my new Akrapovic slip on exhaust, as you see in video it wasn't easy job, but can be DONE.

Fun fact: If you buy the evolution line that includes the downpipes, the final part has the dbkiller with a screw like the old good times

Had the same issue with my S1000RR's euro 5 Arrow exhaust - luckily it was just two welds that needed cut, but man if it was as bad as yours I'd have probably given up - well done mate

I don’t understand, I have a 2024 UK cbr600rr, got an akrapovic slip on, removed the screw and removed the baffle. It sounds sweet lol.
I was lucky mine had the bolt to remove…was still a royal pain to get the baffle out though, tight was not the word🥵 but it came out eventually and sounds better, headers to fit next before a ECU reflash😋
I tend to follow the " loud exhaust saves lives" adage. At the very least I don't think it hurts safety wise. Will it help if you are screaming up on traffic its not doing much. Where it does is when you are at close speed to others around you. It announces you as in the proximity which can be helpful. Ive had multiple people change lanes into me with my stock MT-09SP exhaust. It hasn't happened yet after putting a Black Widow exhaust on it.

Yeah sc stuff is cool! I’m not even a massive akrapovic fan but when you fit one to a bike you can see why they cost £600-700 just for the slip on

Blame euro 5/6, SC project Arrow they all have to do it due to changes in the homologation for road use, best bet is to try and find an older made good nick exhaust on forums/ebay made before 2023, or get handy with the rivots and take your can apart

To be the devils advocate. I don’t think its fair to say “akrapovic sucks” because their exhaust follows the new emission laws which mean they’re forced to make the db killer non removable. This is not akrapovics decision. Any other exhaust brand that makes euro 5 exhausts for cbr 600 is gonna have the same issue. I think if you buy a “race exhaust” you wont have that issue but it also wont be advertised as streetlegal. Don’t buy a euro 5 compliant exhaust and then complain the db killer is welded to the muffler😂

yea... the EU is losing their minds, even try to meddle with racing like motoGP regarding its exausts situation. So in not so long even the "racing only" exausts are going to be restricted.
At that point is going to be better to just get a welder and make your own.
F1 already went through this, from screaming engines going full throttle to the boring sounds we have today and requiring to lift the throttle because a fuel consumption limit.

@@goldfish8196 well… I know I should… one reason why I didn’t go for that is because with full system ECU should be Flash.. there is no good place in Ireland doing that.. I know few riders done in garages ecu flash and engine blows up on them :/
