Some of the best cinematography I’ve seen in a long time I’m a pike fisherman and I very rarely get to see the head like that. That’s awesome. Good job Jay.
Your totally right brother I personally haven’t cuaght a big pike but I have a lot of lures I have only gone to 2 or 3 lakes for fishing I don’t get a lot of opportunities
Man I love a big Pike. Most of the time I only fish for them. Lucky for me the state record was pulled outa the lake 5 minutes from my house just last year. Have yet to find one that big but I will eventually.
It’s been said by many commentators, but I’ve been watching your channel Jay for a long time, and I have to say this is the best video you have ever done. This deserves an academy award or Emmy. Fabulous filming and editing. Unreal action. Hands down number 1. I’ve had this type of pike action before as well in Northern Saskatchewan. It’s incredible to be part of. The stars align and the hogs gather in the shallows just begging to be caught. Thanks for the show. Absolutely incredible.
Norman Adams ....... my dad went to Munroe more times than I can count. He caught more pike over 50 inches than any place he went. It was by far his favorite lodge and lake. Didnt go to Munroe this year but have been 6 or 7 times my self. Planning on next summer. Cant wait for Tysons yummy cooking.
This is why Jay is the absolute best. He can make a guy, like me, that primarily fishes for fish fry, and make me want to go and do this. Jay's content is the absolute best. And I love it.
I wish I could just go and fish with Jay everywhere he goes. Spectacular videography and always has the best videos for fishing. Maybe one day I’ll get the chance. South Dakota guy here.
I fished this lake for 6 years in the early 2000's --- fabulous fishery to where the pike almost jump into the boats. Our four person group caught multiple masters in one 7 day trip. Lake trout is tougher to find, but when you hook into them, you are in for a fight as they as great size. Nice Video.
I’m 54 and I’ve been daydreaming about sight fishing giant pike in Canada since I was a child! I grew up watching the Linders with my dad, Midwest Outdoors etc an every now and then they would have a big Canadian pike video. I was hooked! I ever win the lottery that’s the first trip I’m booking! Lol. Awesome video and stunning videography!
@swazeyyyyy he's over 50, and still daydreaming about going to Canada, he should take action and go there himself, as someone who's gone to Canada, its not crazy expensive, and well worth it
@@kianhrenak hey tough guy! You seem to have all the answers that you thought you needed to take time out of your day to respond to a comment that has nothing to do with you at all! Period! Wtf do you care what I daydream about being able to do some day? Why is that affecting your life? Am I lecturing your dumb ass on how to live your life? Hell no nor would I! Bravo you can afford a fly in Canadian fishing trip!! So what?! I can’t and that somehow bothers you? What is wrong with you? Bitter? Single? Divorced? Pissed off at the world? Don’t be that guy man. You came to me remember that. Have a nice day
Unreal. Over here and in many lakes in the Netherlands that would be impossible. High fishing pressure slows them down. A bit 😂😂😂 thanks Jay, it was great fun to watch.
Great video. Kudos to the filming and editing team. I really liked the artic grayling part because you don't see that too often. Good call on the slo-mo pike hits.
I am a die hard pike fisherman, and I love this. One thing I would love to see is more in depth shore lunch/backcountry cooking, particularly in respect to sanitation. When I cook fish at home, I feel like I'm constantly washing my hands between steps. It makes me wonder if I'm bejng a little over the top, or how everyone else manages. Thanks for the excellent content!
Best advice EVER at 5:26. I don't know about the rest of you, but getting high IS very important. It centers your chi so you can relax and focus when you hook 40 inches!!😂

Hi jay I love watching your video you are truly my favourite UA-camr I love the style of your vids. The footage of these pike is crazy please make my comment blow up so jay can see my comment
Jay: how do you get all of your equipment to these camps? Have done a number of fly-in trips. The weight for gear is always an issue. THANKS FOR ALL THAT YOU DO!!
i have a qestion about the pov camara angle when youre sightfishing would it be possible to use a polarized lense for the gopro so we can the same as you do with the sunglasses
The pike at 8:45 was blind in one eye. If you watch the footage back she lost the bait on that side, it wasn’t until you recasted into its sight line that it ate. I thought that was cool to see. Super sick vid Jay, keep up the great work
Hope your camera survided Jay! I had a cheap canon sit in 25' of water for a week and it still works fine somehow. Sending some of that sweet luck your way. 🙏 Great Video Jay, best wishes to you and the family

I absolutely love the pike fishing content Jay! People around here say pike are annoying but I think they’re cool because they put up gnarly fights! 🔥

Totally agree, even big pike put up a good fight. I'm happy any day I'm catching pike, or really any species 😂
@@chris_2714It's the small ones that barely bother fighting where I'm at. The medium and big ones love ripping off drag
They are cool if they aren’t 7 inches long
Jay: This should earn an award for outstanding outdoor videography.
The slow motion underwater takes are amazing. Pike fighting over your fly in clear water is such a dream fishing experience.
Nothing I love more than topwater action, ESPECIALLY pike hits

That's an awesome resort, that fishing was second to none. Love to hook a trophy pike like that. Great vid.

That is some crazy pike fishing when they spook each other trying to eat your fly. The shots of them charging toward the fly is the best!
Video of pike eating the fly was incredible. Love your attention to the details.

Did anyone notice Jays boat control??? Round of applause!
That is some incredible footage my man! World Class!!!

How about a kayak with to light outriggers towing sailfish poppers, with sailfish reels and rods. Then hit those biggers lakes ! waaaaauw

Was the camera ok in the end? Great trip and film jay
pikes are very fun
3 questions! What size choppo, what size leader/type for the baitcaster, and where can I get that pike fly? Cheers from the Toronto harbour 🐊🍻🔥
I would die a happy man if I could ever have the chance to fish such heavenly pike infested waters such as this.
