For the soldering Part I wanted to add a tip. Any part of the metal that the flame touches directly will oxidize which means solder won't stick there. I usually crimp them on with pliers or something similar and then heat only the very end of the terminal/lug until the rest of it is hot enough to absorb the solder. Just something that'll help make your solder joints better!
The trick to using the brackets is clipping the bracket to one piece of wood, apply glue, mate the second piece of wood pinching the bracket and second piece of wood and then and second clamp.
With regard to cleaning paint brushes, the process begins BEFORE you use them to “paint”. Immerse the brush in the liquid you’ll use to clean it. Shake out the excess liquid. Then paint. The paint won’t wick up to the ferrule.
2:00 on the top of the gluebottle cap is a "knob" with the exact size, to fit the silicon cap of the nozzle, so it doesn't swing around into the working area.
I have a wife. (My two sons are not usually going to paint anything.) I hide my Purdy brushes in a tote, in a cabinet in my shop that I keep locked. Her dad is not a whole lot better.
That torch looks nice. However, that particular connector should be crimped on to the stranded wire (not soldered). Perhaps it's not an issue in this particular instance, but crimped connections are much more resistant to mechanical/vibrational stress (motors, etc). A solder joint is too brittle for such applications and will fail over time.

The Milwaukee 12V pin nailer has become my favorite tool that I didn't know I needed until I got one.

Saw those 90 degree clamps on TEMU (set of 4 for less than 4 dollars!) So I'm happy to share this with your followers since you seem to like them.
