The most gorgeous piano riff in electronic music! Severed Heads should have ruled the world's airwaves and dance culture, and briefly in Aus they did!❤
Yes, this and HOT WITH FLEAS 12" was played alot in the New Wave clubs in Dallas in the 80s especially at the infamous STARCK CLUB. HOT WITH FLEAS was the song that introduced me to Severed Heads in the 80s. I was a Nettwerk/ Wax Trax fanatic in those days.
wicked, I saw them live in '88 or maybe it was '87, but after seeing the visuals I ran home got halfway and hopped into a taxi with a drag queen, I went home and ants were crawling all over the ceiling.
I feel so late to the game on this discovery. I saw it referenced in the comments under a post for Rollo Goes Camping's "Get Off Your High Horse". Happy to have found the original inspiration here.
Then this track was sampled on :: Rollo Goes Camping - Get off Your High Horse (Funky Munky Mix) after the Liberation 2 track Id never heard this original found it today after listening to a few old tracks I got on vinyl. Nice one.
@@swalectrix :)) i wish they told me this lol - tnx for filling me in - i played the bass and I composed the pads chords as well - rob racic did all the drums and edits/mix - it was a complete rebuild from what Tom Elard brought in - a couple of parts we kept from his demo though:)))
@Simon Price no prob - Dm - F - C - G....rinse n repeat:) I actually composed the chords as the original demo didnt have any....but is categorised as an Arrangement under the copyright ACT - if u want....ill see if i can still find the midi file and send u if u like
My head gave me "Severed Heads" after it gave me "Indigent Head" in a "Garbage Bag , on a Stainless Steel Slab , in a Morgue". My Head was Indigent until , I fixed the dislocation of head by rebooting the core and re-calibrating the Lim.Slip.Diff. and Initializing H.O.S. recompiling by scratch and...it spit out "Severed Heads". It spits ... forgotten things...like this Band by the same things.

Oh superb! Good acid then !😅
Had the remix cassette for Greater Rerward, this and 3 others were on it. Raw but good deep bass hook, harmony hook, and tear jerking piano hook.
