I discovered this song and band in the 90s while a DJ at a college radio station, having fun overnights discovering interesting gem artists through thier LP collection. This song is truly gold, I plan to promote it more through my community radio station on my overnight radio show. It is very uplifting and has that lagit soul to it. I love alot of songs on this album.
Tom Ellard and Severed Heads has always been my favorite artist/artists ever with all the layering samples, cool effects on vocals, and excellent electrosounds. My first exposure was come visit the big bigot and all the angelic or should I say demonic sounds are so awesome and after that it was everything. I can't stand a lot of new music especially simple drum machine loops - it's like they just discovered a drum machine or sequencer. Industrial electro music 🎶 🎵
This track is such an incredible banger. Was a fan since their tour with Skinny Puppy, and this track is one of their finest. I believe some of the production on this is Racic (?) but it still sounds every inch a Severed Heads jam. So good.
Ear Bitten and Clean, are great recordings at Volume level at 11. You'll neighbors will love you. Mine do, and sadly enough, I live in the South. Southern Baptists-belt.
Thanx Tom. Had all your albums and cds once. It doesnt matter because now i ger to see all these cool videos ive never seen before. :) Thanx for the U/L
Killer track! Remember this coming out on jjjfm sydney, taping it on my recording walkman, then on repeat to my ears! Love the swirly pad sound in the chorus. Jm
I was hunting around for this clip (was sure I'd seen it somewhere before on YT) and it literally just got (re) uploaded?? This is awesome - thank you so much! I only just learned what all saints day is after watching a doco on Halloween, being an Aussie I didn't grow up understanding the story behind it but found it interesting. It made me think of this tune.
Thanks for this video (re-)upload. If this track was a fine whine, I’d say “The palate is briny and textural [note 1], with lingering hints of burnt banksia and interstellar pumpkin [2, 3].” // Semi-polite requests [4]: 1) If there are further tweaking of albums/tracks, please add “2022 Mix” or “[Year] Mix”, similar to Beatles’ ‘Revolver (2022 Mix)’, but… I don’t care about ‘Spatial Audio’ when ‘Big Car’ had binaural audio a third of a century ago, ditto ‘Chasing Skirt’ audience-spatially controlled at Pier whatever-it-was, but anyway… ; 2) Consider following The Reels and release ‘EPs’ in ‘Fruit Music’ mainstream streaming of Side 1 and Side 2 of ‘Bad Mood Guy’ [5] separately ; and best 5 tracks of ‘Cuisine’ and ‘Piscatorial’ separately. // [note 1 = start of Aussie wine bottle bought today] ; [2 ‘…banksia’ - CD single cover] ; [3 ‘…pumpkin’ - CD album cover] ; [4 ‘semi-polite’ - ‘cos some people just like shiitpoostiing, and we learn more from that than kindness] ; [5 - ‘Side A & Side B’ - I recall someone saying back then they didn’t like Tom’s singing, but I did not mind so: re-upload whole album as it was minus luminous cover; or split side A and side B as EP’s ; or scramble whole album order as something new]; plus please re-release ‘The Tingler’ and ‘More Fun’ as ‘pseudo-singles. // (Thinking also of R.R. who I met on Oxford Street one lunchtime in 1990, long gone and still present….)
I have a polite request for you if I may? I'd love to see/hear the "Pilot In Hell" US 2015 version again, it was really neat and my friend at the Tampa show with me really enjoyed that track in particular! (I suppose the original video would be very nice, too)
Thank you so much for uploading this. Would be very happy to see more archive stuff whenever you have the time, especially stuff from 'Big Bigot', 'Cuisine' and 'Gigapus' :)
I Always listen to this song the day after Halloween...
So do I
One of the greatest baselines ever written... never gets old. Used to love playing this when I was a DJ.
still love playing it when i am, am not a dj.. twists heads and makes soldiers of the alert not to forget, the friends with the informed few.
get's 'em shaking ;) goes good with old industrial records... ahhh miss

Reminds me of freshman year in college listening to WVFS in Tallahassee.

Big Bigot is soooo underrated
as a video artist who uses techniques from the heyday of analog video art, I love this video so much!
I remember watching this a lot in 2017 then it disappeared from youtube for years
A friend had this video on VHS. Still enjoy this as much as ever
