- To celebrate dads everywhere, we worked with Ronald McDonald House Charities Canada to surprise a hardworking dad, Marc Grimard, with an early Father's Day gift by reuniting him with his sick child and family.
We pledged to bring together even more Ronald McDonald House families with every 100,000 views the video received, up to a total of 500,000 views.

As an adult survivor of childhood cancer, I want to personally thank WestJet and Ronald McDonald's House for bringing this little boy's dad to him. It's so scary when you're sick and being subjected to tests and strangers who are there to help you but often the help "hurts," like having your blood drawn, or undergoing painful tests. Nice job WestJet. I'd be proud to be one of your employees! Keep up the good work.

I did not see my Dad for over 12 years now. Right now I am in tears I miss my parents. We say money cannot do anything but sometimes it does a lot.

Usman Rajput I understand how you feel. I'd wish for no one to go through the same experiences that you went through. People are sometimes so cruel. I'm sorry that you had a terrible time and lost your dad at an early age. Just remember, not all people are cruel and thoughtless. There are nice people out there too. Unfortunately, other people have prioritized making money over nurture. It sucks!

Both mother and father's day videos make me tear up a little knowing that my parents aren't there for me anymore. They are here physically, but they couldn't give two shits about me or the family.
I'm still making my dad dinner and buying him a drink though. It will be the first time I've seen him in months.

WestJet also is a sponsor of Hope Air, which helps Canadians (often children) across the country by supplying or subsidizing travel to obtain medical care when they can't afford it on their own. As a Hope Air volunteer private pilot, I have had the privilege of seeing the generous support that WestJet offers Canadians in need. Beyond being a superb airline, WestJet a great asset to Canadians in so many ways, particularly in their charitable support. Too few Canadian corporations distinguish themselves by such noble acts.
Love it! As a parent of a once-sick kid (pretty much better now) I have spent time in BC Children's Hospital in Vancouver, Sick Kids Hospital in Toronto, The Stollery in Edmonton, and municipal hospitals in Kelowna, Calgary, Saskatoon and Regina while my son was admitted for various surgeries and procedures. I was fortunate to be present for the majority of those hospital stays, and was blessed by friends and even strangers who helped to make that happen. There's so many parents who cannot afford to take the time off work. We should always rally around those families to help them in their season of need.
Thanks WestJet. You make Canada proud! What a wonderful gift.

Ronald McDonald house was my home for almost 2 years when my preemie boy was born at 23 weeks gestation. Thank you Ronald McDonald house, without your help, I would have had to spend all that time in a hotel. Ronald McDonalds house are they very best!

They have been a blessing to my family and so many others.
My daughter is in Orlando and I live over 40 miles away. They have let my husband and I stay there to visit her everyday. They made us breakfast, lunch, and dinner everyday. First day was grilled hamburgers & hotdogs with all the good stuff. The second day we had the Orlando Magic team make us lunch. Third day MCDonalds sent over breakfast (all you can eat) and the clown too. LOL the babies there loved him.
They don't ask for anything (except visit the child everyday, keep your room clean, no drugs, no drama, etc).
Been saving up can tops and a little bit of $money here and there to give to them when we leave.

It's 92 now. My father denounced me as a bastard up until his death. I lived with that for sixty years. I took care of my mother paid for her funeral and she told me I was the one thing that stood between her and my father divorcing. In my second marriage my husband is a man any woman would die to have. Thoughtful, careful,wonderful human being. A man among boys. We have been together thirty two years. He's the only family I have ever known including my two grown children. These two love their father, I am just a tenth in line thought like a bad smelly fart. It hurts but I have my family and I see him every day. I am in love with him. I do apologize for dumping on you. I could be that person in line who,let's you go because I have eight items and you have just diapers. I am thankful to be alive. If not, I would have never met the love of my life.
