My understanding of the ‘bulkiness’ of the lightsabers in the show is due to them now incorporating the battery packs in the hilt which hitherto the actors had to conceal in their costumes.
@DexterBigD the battery life only lasts between 45 minutes to a couple of hours, depending on how much you're using it. I imagine they do it to save time on changing out batteries and to reduce how many batteries they need for replacements. Especially if you film between 8 and 12 hours a day, and each minute that passes you're paying hundreds of people to sit waiting for batteries to be changed.
@@StrangeSeidr also they could just have 2 lightsabers of each.. which.. is kinda common with movie props anyways to have a few copies of each. while one charges/gets its batteries swapped you can use the other one
Oooh, Stellan Gios Xenopixel lightsaber piques my interest. I love the elegance of it. But at the same time, I like the unorthodox designs of some of the red lightsabers. I know that you would likely have a purple lightsaber, Simon. 😋💜
This sith lightsabers with the exhaust on the other end definitely peak my interest, reminds me of those swtor custom lightsabers with a dagger beam on the other end, a nice design. Indara curved lightsaber also looks nice. Having the saber hilt be more natural looking definitely gives living force vibes.
Which design is your favourite?
Remember, every single episode of this slop costs more than double what A New Hope did, even adjusted for inflation.

Which is weird considering we have neopixel lightsabers that are as thing and sleek as the movie props

@@sklerp386 On one hand, it makes sense. On the other, it makes the lightsabers look ugly as hell.

❤stellan gios is one of my favorite characters
never has disney hit a lower blow to star wars
Stellan gios.. love his hilt on his saber
all these lightsabers must been onehanded and that's not the most optimal all the time
I believe they are using "real" sabers and the hilts have stuff in them and they have to be able to stand up to the beating.
Honestly, I don’t mind either one of them to be honest.
And I’m sure they will still be used, hopefully in the future
