I've noted what our own praise and worship is like when I don't truly express the God given gift versus when I lose myself and allow God to take over my playing and truly allow to worship to Him. It is POWERFUL to the Worship experience and myself when I realize that...He has blessed me to used his anointing through me. Please understand that I say this with all humility; Glory to God through his son Jesus that I give my all! Solos and all. Hold back in service and see how you feel afterwards...
I think Christians are too quick to judge, we forget that God says come as you are, that is why muso's avoid playing in church! Lets thank God for bringing back the gift to the church. AMEN!!!
They're at a workshop passing on wisdom to fellow players; where were you, what were you doing? As a musician, I believe soloing is a communication to God. I speak THROUGH my instrument, what makes you believe God cannot understand that? With music holding such grand power, why shouldn't we offer our excellence to God? And if we are to do all things in constant prayer (i.e. with God on our consciousness) are we to never play a solo or technical line? Or just not in church?
Yes Doc ur entitled to you own opinion but he has been wearing shades for over 30 years all the time... It's a apart of him and not for show at all... I been to his house plenty of times with no one around and the shades were on... It's Mr. Jones... He also wears them when he plays with Spanky Alford, George Benson, D'Angelo, Aaliyah, Yolanda Adams, and etc... they didn't have a problem... That's my good friend Doc... No Hard Feelings but he is anointed and gifted by God and enjoys his gift.
That performance is awesome.. but I don't understand why the guitar guy need to wear sunglasses when he is worshiping GOD. I just feel like he plays that tune for his own sake. I believe that's not the right place & time to show off your skills.
what does his glasses have to do with you or anything else? the bible said nothing about not wearing glasses and furthermore that has NOTHING to do with how well he plays OR you and your nosy ass... JESUS LOVES YOU GO SERVE THE LORD

From a purely technical pov, the lead guitar was a little loud. But overall, a praise-worthy session.
