    I’ve had a 2017 1le for 3 years. And I still open my garage from time to time to peak and smile. The fact that I’m still watching ss1le videos even though I have owned 1 for 3 years is a sign on its own. What a lovely car. 🏎🥰

      I bought my 1SS 1LE new on June 2nd 2020. Its hibernation time here in ohio right now but, I still peek in the garage and pull the cover back every few days to just look at it. These cars are so fun to drive and drop dead sexy.

      I also had a yellow 17 SS 1LE and traded it. I think about that car almost daily. It’s my goal to buy another one. These cars are amazing. One of their best cars ever!

    Yep...these car are truly bad ass. Mine is a 17 SS 6speed. I didn't get a 1LE as it will never see the inside of a track. I did get the performance exhaust, black rims, and Magniride suspension though. Have almost 42k miles on it now. Runs quicker than new.

    Dig my new 2020 SS 1LE even though it’s only gone 250 miles! Saved and scrimped for a long time for it; just a fantastic vehicle. I haven’t even come close to using all it can do. Accurate review. Thanks 👍👍

    Hey
    Nice job!!
    I have the 2018 zl1 1le and I LOVE IT!!!
    so much fun, total confidence and predictable.
    love passing mustangs (all flavors) and $400k cars at COTA :)
    Chevy got it right to be sure!

    Damn shame Chevy never advertised these cars. They could sell thousands with a performance ad campaign like Dodge does sometimes.

    • @NappMotorsports

      Both Chevy and Ford fall into the same sad category for marketing.

    • @Tusuperbis

      Its almost like they want to them to fail so that they would have an excuse to quit making them and to give credence to their agenda and tell consumers what to buy. It would all be for them to get big bonuses and to be told " they have good ideas". You know, same stuff they did in the mid 1970s. Making cars that they want to produce instead of what the consumers want.

    I personally argue that the 4th gen Camaro/trans am were the start of good handling muscle cars for GM. Sam Strano is known for winning multiple amateur scca events in a nearly stock 2000 Camaro in a class that included vehicles like Porsche’s and corvettes. I am a little biased as I own a 02 WS6 as well as my Miata but I was surprised to see how well the trans am keeps up with my Miata going through same turns. Miata is obviously superior in fast transitions and tight turns but the trans am I feel handles sweepers better (highway on ramps). I’d love to see those cars get more attentions then just the drag race crowd. I think they would surprise people.

      I’d love to compare a 4th gen now that I have more driving experience. I haven’t ridden in one in many years and my memories weren’t that great, just that it made lots of V8 noises and felt very soft.

    • @biggboysouth
      @biggboysouth 4 роки тому +1

      @@NappMotorsports yup like you said base models are very soft, but they had handling package options for both that made a huge difference. 1LE or SS for Camaro and WS6 for the Trans Am. I’d recommend one of those unless the base model has been modified. I’d let you take a spin in mine but I’m way down here in FL.

      I had a 97 z28 years ago and installed pretty much the whole BMR catalog on that car! It was amazing! My dad had a C5 Z06 at the time and couldn't beat my lap times with a 130k mile bone stock LT1!

    I had the opportunity to drive a SS 1LE just this past weekend. I was surprised at how well it shrunk around me, and how well the eDiff works. The S550 Mustang is easier to see out of, but it would take some work for the chassis to keep up with the 1LE. However, I missed the violence of the C5Z. Seems the extra weight (and the more advanced chassis tuning) make the power more of a non-event in the 1LE.

      The blind spots in the 1LE are still huge, but the backup camera is a life saver here.

    Late model pony cars have come a long way over time. I have a 2012 Mustang 5.0 and while I enjoy it, I do have three major complaints. 1. The SRA (which was resolved with the S550) 2. Size (it's huge, and they only got bigger) 3. Weight, at 3600lbs while lighter then most these days "coughchallycough" that's a lotta weight to battle physics with.

    • @NappMotorsports
      @NappMotorsports  4 роки тому

      Even with as heavy as these are, the mag ride and overall suspension make them feel very light.

      @@NappMotorsports Yeah I've driven a C7 with the mag ride, it was pretty impressive in itself, though I didn't care for the car overall.

      The weight like in most cars are airbags, smog equipment, computers, wiring harnesses and the standard accessories that now come on cars. Thats 2 to 300 lbs alone.
