honesty and sportsmanship, there was not a second of slip in Kessler's career, he was always there, always delivering and true to himself and his fans. thats how you become as respected as Mikkel is. very underrated as a fighter as far as popularity goes, but respected and very well known by the fighters. this was very beautiful moment of joy by both fighters who were ready to kill each other in the ring.
Not from Joe, Calzaghe gave it the recognition and respect it deserves! As for me when I saw the match I realized that behind that boxer there was a lot of dedication and solid training not only physical but also mental, Kessler was a great and solid boxer!

As a Calzaghe fan, the most nerves I ever had was just before the Kessler fight. Could have gone either way and I have massive equal respect for both men.

It would take a top commission to balance all leagues and all sports, at least the top 10 sports.

Eubank was a coming of age for Joe. It was his first 12 round fight against a world clas opponent. You can see his exhaustion. In this video he says Kessler was the 'best fighter' he ever fought. I watched all his matches and I agree. Kessler was a class act and it's a shame he tailed off after losing to Joe.
Kessler was a Top fighter, his fight against Ward was a travesty of justice as he was blatantly butted throughout. Calzaghe knew he had to completely change tactics mid fight to win against him. Respect to both fighters.

Two great fighters. Prior to Kessler, the greatest Dane that comes to mind is probably Battling Nelson- a formidable opponent 100 years ago.
