One thing I didn't mention in the video, you do not need a VR headset to play the game. It actually has a flats screen mode. So you could easily play this game with your non VR buddies!
With some more variety and balance, it could be a really solid title. My guess, and it’s only a guess, is that they are gonna use steam as a testing ground before releasing the game on other platforms. It also feels like a game that could go FREE TO PLAY at some point. Time will tell.
Thanks, looks interesting (except a certain lack of visual variety maybe). Hopefully they will indeed flesh it out! However this would have been more enjoyable with one progressing background music track added later instead of this one permanent loop slowly devouring one's mind, lol. ;)
One way they could improve this title is to allow us to make strategic moves along the battlefield, let us use our other hand to control the positioning on our units, and grant us bonuses from doing flanking maneuvers and such like you would get from a Total War game. Meaning the strength of your deck but also the skill of your positioning and quick thinking while in the heat of battle could be just as valuable, instead of it just being an auto battler.
Unfortunately Demeo set the standard in gameplay and graphics. I wish them well and if they can make it so the player has more control and turn up the graphics, I’ll definitely try it!
Demeo is so cool. It's like competing against Half Life Alyx ahah. Thank you so much for your feedback, we'll do our best to improve the experience! We're releasing a roadmap next week :)
Looks interesting BUT for my taste it looks too rough - just not smooth enough to be enjoyable. Like when units turn etc. there is no transition - its just an instant turn. This might be on choice but then to me this is just bad design.
I would love to see the units look more alive. They kind of have that Demeo feel where its a board game piece that slides around the table and has some basic animations for attacks.

I'm intrigued

I agree that would be a great addition. I don’t see it happening tho.

My guess is this is the formula, they will just add more content.
I was kind of surprised to learn this one isn’t free to play given the genre.
