This track is simply awesome. In 2015, we should be thankful for music like this. Looking forward to Sound & Colour! Alabama Shakes, please come to Ottawa, Ontario Canada soon.
A.Shakes: bringing that magnificant funk from an era my generation was unfortunate to not have been able to experience. Peace, love and daaaaaamn she's got soul. 💜

This song is absolutely addicting!!! Alabama Shakes never ever disappoint!!! They are true musicians always stretching themselves creatively. I vote them for best album of the year :)
guitarist766 you have awesome music in 2015, you just have to know it. Listen the new album of Tess Parks and Anton Newcombe for example or the album of Judith Hill "Back in Time" produced by Prince
Them riffs are like ecstasy to my fucking ears, and that voice is so moving, so powerful and graceful that I questioned whether it was really a human singing or a siren. In other words I really like this song
Only heard three songs from sophomore album and I'm already hooked. Brit, your voice is beautiful, powerful, soulful. Thanks for giving us great music to listen to.
After listening "Don't Wanna Fight".. I can feel Brittany is exploring her voice to the limit. Interesting. One of my most anticipating album this year.
I can't stop playing this! I've been addicted to Alabama Shakes ever since i discovered them through a Zales commercial years ago. They are a hidden gem. More power to you! This band is hypnotic, rich, and genuine.
I wish more people my age listened to music like this. Seeing them in concert was amazing and for lack of a better word--Orgasmic, I'm pretty sure everyone would want to experience what I did. Just kind of sucks that not a lot of people from my generation will give music like this a chance.
I just listened to an interview with the lead singer on KERA 90.1. She's an interesting and inspiring young lady. I don't know much about this group but I'm learning. I like that she's not a stereotypical RnB singer. she's not typical. She's very refreshing.
only found you guys today and oh my !!! its like Black keys had a child with arcade fire then that kid grew up and had a kid with aretha frankilin fucking pure soul n roll.
GODDAM THIS SONG IS GOOOOD!!! I wish more of their songs had this funk element to them. Dont get me wrong, I like their other stuff too but this shit is bananas. Cant stop listening to it!!
Amazing! Amazing! Amazing!!! I feel like I'm watching a house being built with love! "Here's the frame, here are the walls, here go up all the fixtures and details..." I mean... wow!
If this is the first time or x-number of times you've listened to this song, i highly recommend watching/listening/downloading the official video of this song under "Live from capitol studio a". She sings it live with her band but sounds even more like a studio version than this. Her voice is more sound and soulful and you can hear the harmonization of her background singers better, the instruments more precise in that version. So in love with this song, i play it on a daily basis since i've first heard it
This gave me goosebumps all the way through. Mmmm...mmm...mmm..now this was delicious music. AS got some great soul, stirring, get all up in through ya bones music. Love it!
Hello de France.j'adore, il m'est impossible de trouver une chanson ou un clip Officiel que j'aime le mieux car vous êtes formidables.merci à vous tous 😘😘
As a guitar player I can honestly say if I were Brittany I could never watch this video after writing these riffs, it would tear my mind to shreds. The animator is on point.
Is this real life? I'm so glad this song exists. The first time I heard it, I didn't realize it was Brittany. She is really going places on this album, it seems. I hope to see them play live this year.
Her vocals sound like the sonorous sounds often heard in Old World Japanese or Chinese songs played on those cultures stringed instruments. My apologies for not knowing the names of the instruments I'm referencing, but any who have heard them would know of what I speak.
I was hooked straight away when I heard that guitar, this is some epic funky shit
Same. The second the song starts, I get goosebumps.
remember me Frusciante somehow
Pedro Guimarães Im with you. that shit is epic live. Both are special. You can feel real shit.

Well said
Picking up where The Black Keys left off... Such an amazing groove!
I think they might be one of the best rock ‘n’ roll bands in the world right now.
Welp.....ya jinxed it!
Yeah that aged like milk 😂
Estadounidenses siendo estadounidenses
They'll get back together to do a country album
Every single one of your songs is so different. WOW!!! Can't wait for the entire album release. I didn't see this one coming.

Lyrics:
Some want to see
those who've gone above
Friends that they've lost
People they've loved
I'd rather meet the me
On down the road
To lead me through the fog
Wouldn't ask for more
Children, take or leave it
Come on people you got to
Give a little, get a little
And see it
Like future you people
Some things could be
Seen from above
Threads of design
Don't trip me up
Children, take or leave it
Come people you've got to
Give a little, get a little
And see it like future
You people
Listen to teacher
Imagine the sound
And listen loud and then
You'll reach that top
Salaam Hargrove
*Futureooooooooo PEOPLE
+ZentetsukenVII It says "Future you people" in the the Booklet that came with the CD.
Salaam Hargrove That's it? :/
88Lizard88Queen Like "you people" It's the "future" you people.
double meaning there
Salaam Hargrove wow... actually reading the lyrics makes a difference in how I view the song.
